Contents
These are the guidelines on how to prepare an (extended) abstract for the ICRE2010. They are written in the format which is mandatory for (extended) abstracts for the ICRE2010. Please follow these instructions.

General remarks
In order to facilitate the assessment of the scientific and technological merit of the papers, authors are kindly asked to submit an (extended) abstract of no more than two pages with a total length of 500 to 1500 words including no more than 2 figures or tables and no more than 5 references. Moreover, a short biography of the principle author should be given.

Layout
The (extended) abstract must begin with the title followed in a new line by the abbreviation of the authors first name(s) and the authors last name(s). The affiliation is given in the next line, followed by a comma and the country. To facilitate communication, the email address of the corresponding author should be given, separated by a comma from the country name. The title is followed by a short list of keywords which characterise the content of the (extended) abstract in order to make the comparison with the other (extended) abstracts easier. Therefore, generic terms are not good keywords, whereas special terms or processes are good ones. The (extended) abstract begins with a short introduction and ending with some conclusions. This is concluded by a short list of not more than 5 selected references. Please use approximately three first order headers (without numbering) to structure the (extended) abstract and avoid the use of headers of higher orders. Following the references, a short biography of the principle author

Style
The only acceptable file format is Microsoft Word. If you do not have access to Microsoft Word please contact the conference office for alternatives. Text should be produced on the basis of these guidelines within the dimensions shown on these pages. Paper title, authors name, affiliations, abstract and keywords as well as the body of the (extended) abstract should be in one column. Please use Roman 10 pt (or Times, or similar; these guidelines are written in Times New Roman) for the text and the font sizes indicated in Tab. 1. Please use bold fonts for headers. The first order header (e.g. 1 Contents) should be written in 11 pt as in this guideline. There should be a top margin of 25 mm and a bottom, left and right margin of 20 mm, the only exception being the first page, where a 45 mm top margin is required. Neither text, nor figures or tables should be printed outside these margins.

The title of the (extended) abstract must be written in 16pt bold letters. If authors come from different affiliations, please list the affiliations and connect them by superscript footnotes. There is one line (12pt) spacing between title and authors names; two lines (24pt) separate the authors names and the Abstract heading. The first paragraph of a section should start on the left margin. A blank line separates the header from the paragraph. The following paragraphs of a section start with a tabstop at 1.0 cm; there is no blank line between the paragraphs of a section. The text is written single-spaced. If there are problems of legibility, (e.g. subscripts) a larger spacing (e.g. 1.5) may be used. At the end of each section a blank line indicates the separation from the next header. Figures and tables should be integrated in the text like it is done in Fig. 1 and be centred on the page. Above the tables and under the figures there should be a table and a figure number (bold, italic), respectively, and a caption (italic). The minimum font size in figures should be 8pt, the font type recommended is Arial, Helvetica, or a similar preferably non-serif type.

Fig. 1: Guidelines for figures Headings of tables should be placed above the table with 6 pt extra spacing between the heading and the table. Table notes should be placed directly under the table. Also, there should be an extra spacing of 6 pt between a figure and its caption. Some references should be indicated in the text using consecutive numbers in square brackets, e. g. [1]. In the bibliography they should be cited including the title of the paper:
