Vision
Aspires to provide quality education in the field of computer applications with state of the art computational facilities and undertake quality research in collaboration with industries and universities to produce committed professionals and academicians to meet the needs of the industries and society.

Mission
To disseminate knowledge through education and training of graduates in the field of computer applications. To focus on teaching - learning, research and consultancy to promote excellence in computer applications. To foster graduates with opportunities required to explore, create and face challenges of IT related industries. To equip the graduates with the necessary skills in communication, team work and leadership qualities to meet the needs of the IT related sector globally. To disseminate the outcome of projects and research work undertaken by the department through appropriate measures for the benefit of society and industry.

Salient Features of MCA Department

Offering certification programmes in CCNA, ORACLE to strength their curriculum. Five Advanced computing laboratories with a total of 320 systems with latest configurations. 1 GBPS Internet link connectivity under National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT) / National Knowledge Networks (NKN) 24x7 availability and accessibility of state of the art data centre with high end rack servers, blade servers, 10 Tera Byte SAN storage and virtualization. Students undertake projects clubbed with placement especially in Apple IOS technologies. Well qualified and experienced faculty members. Offering additional Virtual Lab Classes, Live Classes, Tutorial MOOCs and Vocational Augmentation courses through IIT professors under MHRDs QEEE programme. Special placement opportunities on Mobile Application Development in Android/IOS platforms. Students are selected and trained during the final year project phase.

1. MCA Regular (3 Years) Eligibility : Bachelors degree in any discipline with Mathematics as one of the subjects in degree course (OR) Mathematics at +2 level. 2. MCA Lateral Entry (2 Years) Eligibility : Graduates in Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA), BSc., (Computer Science) and BSc., (Information Technology)

Selection of candidates will be based on their performance in the qualifying examinations and B.S. ABDUR RAHMAN UNIVERSITY MCA Entrance Exam (BSAU MCA Entrance Exam.) Students with (or Pursuing) UG degree from any recognized institutions are eligible to apply.
