From our experience, usually technical issues arise due to local desktop settings. Please check your desktop settings. You can access Global English through ITMS hence separate user name / Password is not required Path: mywipro->My Career-> Talent Transformation -> My Learning Plan -> Mandatory Courses -> GlobalEnglish-> CLS Do I need internet connection for accessing GlobalEnglish Corporate Learning Service? Yes, GlobalEnglish Corporate Learning Service works only with internet connection. However, please refer to Offline Study Feature under option for more details. What should I do after receiving the welcome mailer from GlobalEnglish? Access the study plan that is created based on the assessment scores. In addition, refer to document called How to complete study plan and placement test What is GlobalEnglish Placement Test? GlobalEnglish Placement Test is 45min assessment which will assess learners ability on following sections: Grammar, Reading and Listening for 15min each. Test is adaptive and will be timed by every section. Learners cant edit their answers as once answered considered to be completed. In the event of any technical error during the assessment like force shutdown of computer/webpage, general computer failure, Internet failure, system freeze etc Learner should log back into the test and will be able to start the test from the same question/section along with the time when technical failure happened. Since you have already taken BELIT/BELIT Plus your study plan is ready. You can ignore the placement test How long is my service access valid? 4 months from the registered date.

11. Can I change my study plan? Yes, you can make changes to your study plan. Please refer change my plan link available on Left Hand Side on My Page tab under My Study Plan option. 12. How many levels are there in GlobalEnglish Corporate Learning Service?

There are levels from 0 to 10 excluding Basic Course. Learners are named as Beginners when they are placed between Level 0 to Level 3 in Placement Test. Learners are named as Intermediate when they are placed from Level 4 to Level 8 in Placement Test. Learners are named as Advanced when they are placed from Level 9 and 10 in Placement Test. Learners must always start/complete the Assignments and activities based on their placement test level.

13. How long should I spend on any level before moving on to next level? Usually Learners spend anywhere approximately from Min 25hrs to Max 30hrs based on his/her ability to learn/complete the listed activities. We strongly recommend learners to complete the relevant Review Tests which are usually after few assignments and then complete the final Course Progress Test for moving on to the next assignment. Learners are entitled to receive Online Certificate (Printable Format) only on successful completion and achieving 70% aggregate in all the review tests including the final course progress test. 14. On courses tab I see General English courses, do I need to also complete these courses? How is it different from Business English? No, General English Courses need not be completed, as these courses are part of Business English courses too. General English courses are more geared towards learners who would like to improve on Non Business related communication which is not relevant for Corporate Learners and this is strictly not recommended by WIPRO INDIA. 15. Is there a time line that I should complete activities and assignments and also the courses? Yes, based on your study plan on My Page you will have assignments listed for you to complete and also the target date by when you should complete the Review Test, failing to complete you will be sent a reminder to your messages box and also a pop up when you login after the deadline date. WIPRO recommends you to complete the assignments or activities on time to keep pace on learnings. 16. What is GlobalEnglish Productivity Tool bar? How can I download this feature Tool bar is a great feature in the service which could be used for following reasons: Instant login without having to put Learner name and password when using dedicate computer only, Text to speech feature, Translation Tools, Pronunciation and Writing Centres. Path: Resources Tab > Productivity Tool Bar > Click Install Now > Save to your desired destination 17. How much time does it take to complete one assignment and one activity? Every course level is divided into min 7- max 10 Assignments and every Assignment is further sub divided into min 5- max 10 Activities. Usually takes around 90min duration to complete One Assignment. However, each activity is between min 5 -30max duration. To suit learner needs we have built in activities which are either 5-10min or 10-15min or 15-30 duration depending on the topics. 18. Do learners get any monthly email updates from GlobalEnglish? Learners do get emails on any new feature updates, monthly magazines and any other related information which WIPRO administrator likes to shares with learners. 19. When I specify time (say 2hrs / week) during the Study plan does it mean that I cannot access GlobalEnglish Corporate Learning service after 2hrs? No, time mentioned is just an indication for software to calculate roughly how many weeks or months you would need to complete one level successfully. You would always have uninterrupted access to service, spending more time reduces your time towards your goal.

3) Writing Center The Writing Center gives learners general writing strategies, help with common writing problems, and tips for handling different types of business communication. It also includes 50 samples of the most common types of business correspondence.

4) Accents and Dialects tool We understand that non-native English speakers constantly face challenges in understanding accents different from their own as well as interacting confidently and effectively with English speakers from around the world. The Accents and Dialects tool provides more than 40 hours of listening practice with nearly 500 audio samples from speakers in 65 countries to prepare learners for meetings, conference calls, and business travel.

5) Geographical Names

6) Vocabulary Center This tool allows learners to create and manage personalized word lists. Practice activities include Flashcards, Matching, Sentence Completion, and Translation Challenge.

7) Culture Notes Culture Notes provides extensive cultural information to help learners prepare for international business interactions. Reports include details on culture in 45 countries, including characteristics of society, top 10 tips, business etiquette, managing relationships, and much more.

8) Productivity Toolbar We know many of our learners must regularly use English on the job but do not always have time to take a complete course, and the Productivity Toolbar is specifically designed to meet this need. With this toolbar installed, learners do not need to log in to the GlobalEnglish service but can still use many of the powerful GlobalEnglish features in any browser window. Its [Hear It!] tool allows users to capture text from any web site or type it in and listen to it in English.

09) Offline Study The Offline Study feature is a great learning option for busy learners who may need to travel constantly and cannot easily find the time or access to go online to study. This feature allows learners to download assignments to their laptop and study offline. All work completed offline will be uploaded to their account when they go online next time

10) Mobile Learning Network The GlobalEnglish Mobile Learning Network (MLNTM) contains a library of audio and video podcasts from Business English Pod to help you learn how to use English in Business Settings.
