Partner Kills constitute between 20 and 30 percent of the murders committed in this country. In 2012 registered NCIS 31 killed in Norway. This year, NTB so far counted 46 cases being investigated as a homicide, with 49 possible murder victims, of whom 24 are women. Note that the figures for 2013 are based on charges, not judge. - If all the possible murder cases in years ending with the judgment, Norway still get kills in general compared to other countries. When it comes to matters that may affect the murder rate is the Norwegian society stable, with a uniform distribution of well being and good social mobility, says homicide researcher Vibeke Ottesen at the University of Oslo said.

High share partners

Ottesen researching partner homicide. Although the number of killings in Norway total is low, the proportion of partner homicide high compared with other countries. Ottesen think it is this that must be accentuated. She is not thrilled media comparisons of homicide figures from year to year. - I am very concerned for all families where murder is a risk, and it is bad that Norway has so many cases of partner homicide, but one year's numbers alone are not indicative of a trend, specifies Ottesen. According to the Ministry of Justice and Public Security Ministry's "Action Plan against Domestic Violence 2014-2017" shows various surveys in the last year that between 75,000 and 150,000 people annually are exposed to domestic violence in Norway. Few of these cases goes so far as to murder. Last year, seven of the 28 recorded murders committed by current or former partner. Six of the victims were women, one man. While women who kill usually do it to get away from violent relationships with his life, there are other things that trigger men to murder, including breakups, jealousy and loss of breadwinner ability. Kills Scientist Ottesen believes society around people in crisis should ask specifically about homicidal ideation.

- Too few anger management offers

Government Action Plan envisages that society will break down the taboo around having homicidal ideation. The goal is to help before the murder happens. Some take hold of anger and violence problems on their own. Around 1,000 men take each year contact with Reform Resource Centre for Men because they need to talk about a personal crisis or violence. - Murder is an extreme form of violence. Although some men are violent, there are very few who commit murder. Each partner homicide is a partner killing too much, says managing director of Reform Resource Centre for Men Are Saastad. He admits that men make up the majority of homicide statistics the perpetrator column and consequently has a huge responsibility, but recalls that women also kills men. Saastad believes the device around prevention and follow-up of violence in Norway is constantly being improved, but has some flaws he would like to see more focus on. - Our society has generally offered to men who want to learn to master his mind. I also think that it needed targeted measures against groups that have previously gone under the radar, such as unaccompanied refugee boys who do not know Norwegian gender roles, says
