REGIONAL WORKSHOPS re CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE
This seminar is designed to be proactive and engaging to help create community awareness around the prevalence of child sexual abuse and its impact on victims; the reason why victims delay or never disclose and the types of responses victims have received that can either help them recover or exacerbate their suffering. The seminar will highlight how we as a community can encourage safe disclosure and provide support that both empowers victims and the community. Presenter: Prof S. Caroline Taylor AM is an awarded researcher & advocate and recognised as one of Australias leading experts in the field of childhood sexual abuse.
Date: Thursday, 6th March Time: 10.00am & repeated at 7.30pm (Gathering Space) Rite of Naming: Darren Boulton, Jane Thompson & Cate Dickson will have their names inscribed in the Naming Book at the 10.30am Mass today. The Book will be presented to Bishop Paul Bird next Saturday at the Rite of Election in Ballarat. Eucharistic Ministers: Formation Evening this Tuesday at 7.00pm for some senior students from Emmanuel College. Its also an opportunity for our present ministers to be up-dated as well as showing support to these students. Lenten Reflection: Once again we join with the Uniting & Anglican Churches during the Season of Lent. The program You have set us Free is designed to be used by small groups that meet weekly. If you wish to participate, or use the booklet for your own personal prayer, please give details on sheet provided. Womens Weekend Retreat: 16-18 May at Halls Gap.
