Release Notes 2.1.2 Fixed and enhanced the fault / kinematic analysis. The Data Statistics window now labels each data type, such as M-plane, P-axis, etc. There is a new category in the Data Statistics window that gives moment tensor calculations for P axis, T axis, M axis, and the two nodal planes. New options are also included in the Spherical Projection preferences dialog for plotting the M, P and T kinematic axes. As for Tangent lines, you must select a data set of M

planes before these options are available. Beachball diagrams are plotted using moment tensor eigenvectors, instead of P and T axes eigenvectors. The reference manual has been updated. 2.1.1 Bug: Fixed an error caused during conversion from 2.0.4 to 2.1 that inverted fault displacement se senses. New: Added additional tangent-lines to fault analysis and updated the Reference Manual. See the section on Fault and Kinematic Analysis in the Orient Reference Manual 2.1.1 for details. 2.1 When saving images, make sure a correct file extension is included (e.g., .jpg), as it is not added automatically. The only standard bitmap image format available on Windows is BMP, unless Quicktime is installed. Vector images can be saved as PDF and SVG, which allow import into vector graphics programs such as Adobe Illustrator. There may some discrepancies, for example with font alignment. If an image contains a bitmap (as the gradient contours) it is saved separately and must be brought into the diagram after opening the PDF or SVG file. DXF export does not support bitmaps, fills, line widths, or color. Data with both plane and line entries display multiple data sets: Plane, Line, M-Plane, P-Axis, and T-Axis. The latter three are generated for fault analysis. To display slip linears, select the Line type and check the Slip linear box in the Faults tab panel. A preference file stores settings for graph objects and data sets. If this becomes corrupt, Orient may quit unexpectedly with a warning. Use the 'Restore Defaults' menu command to delete the preference file and restore default settings. The program documentation has not yet been updated to reflect changes from version 2.0.4.
