Sunday Services
What if you knew that by taking ten steps across a room and saying hello to another person, you could impact his or her eternity? It has nothing to do with methods and everything to do with taking a genuine interest in another human being. Coming March 9th, I will offer a study entitled, Just Walk Across the Room. I offer this because I recently had a sermon series on the Great Commission and some of you said, I understand I should GO, but how do I go about doing this? It is for you, we offer this elective. I hope it helps equip you for changing lives. Sign up today in the lobby.

THOUGHTS FROM BRAD

I am excited that Elevate, from Kentucky Christian University, is here to share both instrumentally and vocally with us. I hope you enjoy this special worship team who are training to use their giftedness for full-time ministry. I want to say thank you to all our host families who showed hospitality to these students last night by keeping them in their homes. I want to thank George and Andy Lambert and Tim Huffman for installing our new security and phone system. It has taken many hours to accomplish this task. Our previous system was antiquated and continuously needed repaired and often that job fell on the shoulders of George. Thanks men for your willingness to serve this church. Recently I asked our congregation to consider inviting people who need the Lord to Fifth Avenue in 2014. I first asked our elders to commit to this because I could not in good conscience ask you to do something they were not willing to do. We had a total of 21 who accepted the challenge. Some of you have already begun and people attended because you were faithful. Great job! Your faithfulness to the Lord has not gone unnoticed. I have a special note for our guys. The annual men & boys Bean Dinner at the Heath Church of Christ will be held on March 20th. Plan now to join us for a great night of food and fellowship. More details to come. Here is a Scripture for you to ponder: And so dear friends, while you are waiting for these things to happen (events leading up to the Lord returning) make every effort to be found living peaceful lives that are pure and blameless in His sight (1 Peter 3:14). In His Service, Brad

BITS FROM BRO. DAVE

A PERSONAL NOTE: Sue and I will appreciate your prayers for our safety as we accompany Stephanie back to Georgia this week. The date of our return is uncertain. However, we hope to return around mid-March. In the meantime, the Sunday Evenings In The Sanctuary will continue uninterrupted. (We dont plan to take the snow with us!) SUNDAY EVENINGS IN THE SANCTUARY: This week (2/23), we will be considering Micah: Reasonable Religion (Micah 6:8). Upon returning home, we will meet Jeremiah: The Reluctant Prophet (Jeremiah 15:10). In the weeks that follow we will examine the lives and prophetic ministries of Ezekiel, Jonah, Zechariah and Malachi. Why not join us at 6:00 pm, on Sunday evenings, for this series of studies? MIDWEEK BIBLE STUDIES: Watch for announcements regarding resumption in March! FUTURE EVENT: Once again, I am reminding you about Senior Saints In The Smokies. The date is May 26-30, 2014. This is the 30th year for this great event conducted on the Johnson University (formerly Johnson Bible College) campus and it is to be a very special celebration. It is really intended for those aged 55 and up. (We, already, have 8 committed to attending and I have mailed the first 4 reservations!) Registration forms are available. If you need forms or have questions, contact me or our Church Secretary. (We do use our vans for travel.) FINAL THOUGHT: A really contented person has his/her yesterdays all filed away, his/her present in order and his/her tomorrows subject to instant revision.

As discussed at our Annual Congregational Meeting on Wednesday, February 12th, Dale Rose is the Chairman of the Deacons and Tim Huffman is the Chairman of Facility Management.

Dear Friends, Many thanks for your prayers, cards, and the countless good thoughts you have had for us in the past few months. It has been a difficult time, but you have helped to carry the load and given us encouragement. Please pray for mom and dad, for their travel to Georgia, and to help to get me settled again. The road is not over for me, but your prayers will continue to strengthen all of us. May God continue to bless you for your kindness and faithfulness. Philipppians 1:3-6 ~ Stephanie Tingler A really big thank you to whoever was the sender of the beautiful bouquet of flowers. All of us were surprised they were very pretty. I have enjoyed them all this week but finally had to give them up. So again many thanks. In Christian Love ~ Myrtle Campbell

Core Values...
Values central to the life, mission and vision of Fifth Avenue Church of Christ are: Christ-Centered Worship
We make it a priority every Sunday to celebrate Jesus through our music. (Romans 11:36-12:1-2). We focus on Jesus through gracebased preaching and teaching & understand the Bible is our authority (2 Timothy 3:16).

Church Health and Biblical Balance

Church health becomes reality when God's people seek harmony & live consistently. We expect every member to protect the unity of Christ's Church. (Romans 12:16; 1 Peter 3:8)

Global Evangelism
We are constant to our founding call to worldwide evangelism, proclaiming to all that Jesus Christ is the Savior, Healer, and SoonComing King (Acts 20:27).

Fellowship and Ministry

After people begin their journey with Jesus, we will equip them to find a ministry based upon their strengths. We want everyone to serve in some capacity. (1 Corinthians 12:12-27) We also want His church to be the living evidence of His love and power to the world.

Discipleship
We do not want you to "get religion" here at Fifth Avenue Church of Christ in Lancaster. We are all about teaching you that Jesus seeks a daily relationship with Him through a life of obedience. In other words, we want to see the things you are taught actually change your lifestyle & your daily decisions.

How Can I Respond Today?

At FACC we look to the Bible for guidance on all issues. We believe that Gods Word is clear concerning what a person must do to become a Christian. Trust that Jesus can bring you to salvation. Turn (repent) from the sin in your life. Confess your desire to make Jesus the Lord of your life. Be baptized (immersed) in water for the forgiveness of sins and to receive the Holy Spirit into your life. To make this life decision for Christ, we ask that you come forward during our commitment song at the conclusion of the Sunday message. Baptized believers are welcome to become members at FACC by coming forward on Sunday morning or by seeing our Senior Minister to discuss this further. We ask that you complete a series of Curious classes to help you better understand what you are committing to as a member. If you would like to take a Curious class, please indicate this on your Silent Roll Call Card.

Social Conscience
We place high value on the sanctity of human life, of Biblical marriage and morality, and we welcome ethnic diversity (Isaiah 56:7; Philippians 2:15-16).

Lizzy sees the changes in her niece when Beth shows her the woodworking, and after meeting Jonah, the artist, she is determined that Beth come to know this man whose hands create healing art. But its not that simple Beth has cut herself off from any possibility of romance. Will Lizzys elaborate plan to reintroduce her niece to love work?
