VADEA Regional Inspire and Indulge Western Region

VisualArtsteachersareinvitedtoparticipateintwo professionaldevelopmentopportunitiesonFriday4th ofApril,2014. VADEAInspireWesternRegionisaprofessional developmentdayforvisualartsteachersatLithgow HighSchool(8.45am3pm)andtheVADEAIndulge WesternRegionpresentation:TonyBondandMikeParr inConversation.ThiscoincideswithDesire(Biennaleof SydneySatelliteExhibition)attheBlueMountains CulturalCentreinKatoomba(5pm7pm). Participantscanattendbothprofessionaldevelopment opportunitiesorselecteachindependently. VADEAInspireWesternRegion,LithgowHighSchoolisan opportunitytoexchangeideasandteachingand learningstrategieswithvisualartsteachingcolleagues. LithgowHighSchoolwillhosttherstofaseriesof VADEARegionalInspireprofessionaldevelopmentdays. ThesearedesignedforVisualArtsteachersinregional areastoshareresources,newideas,programsand learningstrategiesforteachingVisualArts,VisualDesign andPhotographicandDigitalMedia. ThefocusofRegionalInspireisStage4toStage6.The programformatincludesaseriesofshortpresentations fromvisualartseducatorsincludingJohnBawden(CAPA HeadTeacherLithgowHighSchool),SeanOKeee (VisualArtsteacherLithgowHighSchool),LisBastion (PublicProgramsManager,BlueMountainsCultural Centre,Katoomba),VADEAexecutivememberWendy Ramsay(RegionalSupportOcerandVisualArts Lecturer,UTS)andKathrineKyriacou(VADEA CoPresidentandVisualArtsteacherCranbrookSchool).
