1-Speech by the chairperson

1.1

Welcomed and thanked all for being present. Start the meeting with reciting Al- Fatihah.
Action: All the members

2-Speech by the headmistress

2.1

Congratulated the panel for being punctual.

2.2

Stress much on the Pra UPSR.

2.3

All the English activities for this year had been carried out successfully.
Action: All the members

3- To confirm the minutes of the Second English Language Meeting for the year 2013
3.1

To adopt the minutes of the last meeting, Cik Nik Zainab Bt. Nik Pa made the adoption
and was seconded by Pn. Rahimah Bt Murad.
Action: Secretary

4- Matters Arising
4.1

More effort had been given to potential pupils to score in their UPSR.

4.2

The panel had decided to give more attention to the Year 5 pupils.

4.3

The pupils exercise books had been corrected regularly and corrections had been done
immediately.

4.4

Discussion on the test papers had been done just after the markings.

4.5

Every class had displayed the latest materials at the English Corner.

5- Matters to be discussed
5.1

All pupils and teachers used English Language as much as possible in their conversation
especially on Tuesdays. ( English Day )

5.2

Each class had their own English Corner where the teacher displays :
- Pupils work
- Teaching Aids for weekly topics
- Appropriate news cutting
Action: All the members

6- Other matters
6.1

Sentence making had been exposed starting from Year 1 to enable the pupils master the
sentence structure correctly.

6.2

Our Senior Assistant hoped that the committee members of the panel will work hard to
achieve the same goal to success.
Action: All the members

7- Adjournment speech
7.1

Madam Chairperson appreciated the cooperation and participation by all the members in
making the meeting a success.

7.2

She would be pleased if all the above suggestion be carried out as planned. Teamwork is
a must in order to upgrade the pupils achievement.
