The following instructions are intended to guide
service personnel in the repair or overhauling of the
SB 300 and SB 450 hydraulic breaker.
WARNING
Never intervene in the breaker when it is
connected to the hydrauIic system, or when
the accumuIator is charged!

When overhauling the SB 300, use the seal kit
3315 2685 90.
When overhauling the SBC 450, use the seal kit
3315 2687 90.
The kits include all O-rings, seals and wipers,
which must always be changed when the hammers
areoverhauled.
Workshop standards
Atlas Copco SB hammers have hydraulically
powered percussion mechanisms. Since all
hydraulically powered machines are sensitive to dirt,
the hammers must always be disassembled in a
place that is:
solated from all dust and particle-generating
activities such as grinding and welding.
Very clean, i.e. free of dust and dirt.
Equipped with washing facilities and compressed
air for the blow cleaning of components.
Equipped with all necessary standard and spe-
cial tools.
Demands personneI
All personnel who are to be involved in overhau-
ling the SB breakers must frst be trained to do
so by Atlas Copco.
