Pumping unit
Tokheim EPZ rotary vane type with integrated air separator and check-valve for StdS.
The EPZ high-performance suction pump uses a rotary vane pump with carbon blades for standard speed delivery
with built-in foot valve (check valve), vertical filter and standard inlet connection. Air elimination to extreme
tolerances is provided by a patented fully static device using a vortex effect. Low electrical power consumption
makes this unit cost-effective.
The EPZ pumps are located in the hydraulic units.

19
The Quantium 300T Dispenser uses gear type PAS V3 pumps for HS and VHS diesel with built-in foot valve (check
valve), vertical filter and standard inlet connection.
PAS V3 suction pumps are located in the hydraulic units.
Pump
Motor
These suction pumps use the same electric motor, the same vertical filter and the same inlet connection (oval
flange at the bottom of the filter).

Electronics
The WWC T1 calculator incorporates the latest electronic technology allowing for maximum efficiency and
increased flexibility to adapt to all operating requirements. Its unique worldwide platform supports all American and
European applications, all existing software and protocols and meets all relevant Weights & Measures and safety
requirements.
Modular processing power, from a powerful microprocessor board, controls a set of intelligent peripheral I/O
boards with highly dedicated functions to meet your specific needs e.g. Unit Price Display, Electronic
Merchandising, blenders, product indication, preset buttons, keypads etc.
The product is scalable and configurable so that it can drive the required hydraulic configurations and options. The
type and position of connectors are organised for ease of cabling at production and in the field. The packaging is
designed to protect the main components. Status LEDs are added to the different boards to simplify any
diagnostic/functional tests. Complete pre-produced central plates are developed to mount all different option
boards.
The electronic calculator is located in the calculator head housing which also contains the external power supply
(including backup battery).
Normal data communication between with WWC T1 and forecourt controllers or Point of Sale (POS) systems
already incorporates all major existing proprietary or international standard protocol combinations.
The MP T1 pulser sends signals to the calculator from one or both sides of the dispenser which is checked, counted
and displayed on the unit and the information transmitted via data communication or remote control into the service
station.
The WWC T1 can incorporate an Electronically Controlled Vapour Recovery system (ECVR) using the programming
tools of the calculator to perform the necessary calibration.
21
Options
Tokheim ECVR-OL
This is an exclusive Electronically Controlled Vapour Recovery system, in which a Drr vapour-pump (one per side,
using one motor for both pumps together), electronically controlled proportional ASCO valves (one per side) and on/
off valves (one per hose) are the main parts of the system. The on/off valves will be delivered as an integrated part
of the ZVA nozzle.
The Tokheim ECVR-OL system will be built in such a way so as to work for all hydraulic frame positions.
This option comes standard with a return-pipe per dispenser, which means that vapour from all products is
returned to the same underground storage tank.
Tokheim ECVR-SCS
The Electronically Controlled Vapour Recovery-Self Calibrating system is a combination of the basic components
and architecture of the ECVR-OL system with Tokheims all-new, patented Vapour Flow Meter (VFM) and selfcalibration algorythms.
The specially developed and maintenance-free Tokheim VFM interfaces directly with the calculator to monitor
correspondence between vapour flow and fuel flow for every fuel delivery.
The calibration data stored in the calculator can be updated after any delivery if accuracy falls outside pre-defined
performance thresholds, enabling the system to compensate automatically for any vapour head loss variation.
GRVP
This acronym stands for Gas Rckfhrung Ventil mit integriertem Proportionalventil (Vapor Recovery nozzle with
integrated Proportional valve): a mechanically controlled vapour recovery system, in which a Drr vapour-pump
(one per side, using one motor for both pumps together), mechanically controlled proportional and on/off valves (one
22
per hose) are the main parts of the system. The proportional and on/off valves are delivered as an integrated part
of the ZVA nozzle.
This option comes standard with a return-pipe per dispenser, which means that vapour from all products is
returned to the same underground storage tank.
Mechanical totalisers
The mechanical totalisers are mechanically driven by the volume meter / pulser assembly.
They are easily readable in the hydraulic compartment by opening only one panel.
They are positioned in the calculator head and are visible through the dial plate.
Preset valves
These valves differ from normal stop-valves in that they can control the speed of the fuel flow in more than one
ratio.
They enable the slower filling up of the tank that is needed where of a preset option has been selected on the
dispenser, via the forecourt controller or a payment terminal.
The preset valve will be available for every fuel grade type (for LPG it can only be driven remotely by POS), every
flow rate and every hydraulic frame position.
Nozzle OPW
OPW nozzle (non-VR version) instead of ZVA.
Nozzle latches
Latching device allowing the nozzle trigger to be blocked in delivering position without having to keep it pressed.
Goodyear hose
Standard: Elaflex hoses.
Option: Goodyear hoses.
25
It should be noted that breakaway couplings restrict the flow rate to a certain degree.
When this option is selected on a double-sided model, both HS hoses are equipped with this speed selection.
26
This option is needed because in some countries the metrology state officer has to be able to check without the use
of any tools that the dispenser switches off when air enters the system.
Mandatory in Austria.
27
Submerged standard
The dispenser is not equipped with any suction pumps, but gets its fuel through submersible pumps.
Instead of a suction pump, the standard submerged dispenser has only a filter.
It will be available for every hydraulic frame position.
It must be fitted with a safety shear valve that makes sure that the liquid column is sealed if an accident should
happen and the dispenser is disconnected from the island (not included).
Nefit adaptor
Used in Spain.
Single-phase motor
A 230V motor, mainly used in the UK and Africa.
Delta connection
A connection in delta instead of star configuration for three-phase motors.
VR status led
A LED that indicates if the VR control system is working or is out of order.
Display Ferranti-Packard
An alternative lit electromechanical Ferranti-Packard display.
28
Caution: When equipped with this option, 2-2i and SVHS2-2i models have only one display on the visible side (side
A by default). Hence saving is three display.
No display
On SAT model only.
Preset 3 push-buttons
Three different push-buttons that allow the customer to choose a preset amount of money or fuel.
Once a selection is made, the dispenser automatically delivers the right amount (via the electronics and the abovementioned preset valves).
The buttons are grouped together, at an ergonomically well-considered height, beside the Outdoor Payment
Terminal box.
Preset keypad
Same as above with a keypad instead of the push-buttons.
Preset valves are included in this option.
29
This is mandatory in certain EC countries (f.i. Italy) and specifically requested by some customers in other
countries.
Used in Italy.
30
Speaker
This option provides loudspeakers in the dispenser head that can be connected to a PA system, for example.
EPSI interface
Used in Germany.
Metax interface
Only available with Tatsuno protocol.
Used in Scandinavia.
Programming switch
A safety system, which allows programming of the calculator only if it is switched on.
Mandatory in certain countries, required by some customers in other countries.
Mandatory in Italy.
Used in France.
32
Temperature sensor gets activated when the temperature in the frame reaches 70C. The tilt sensor gets
activated in case the dispenser gets hit by a car or a truck.
33
Shock detection
A built-in shock sensor that sends out a signal in the event the dispenser is hit by a vehicle.
Switch to be activated when a force is applied similar to a small car (1.000 kg) driving into the dispenser at a speed
of 10 km/h.
34
Reinforced packaging
For shipments where the material suffers from additional load (for instance when multiple transport companies are
used.
Export packaging
Wooden crate for shipments to export markets.
