Qualifications for Nominees:

There are many people who qualify to be nominated for these
awards. Any person who has provided a service in any field of aviation
such as airport development, improvement or community relations
can be nominated. People involved with aviation education, promotion
and safety services as well as those involved with flight instructing,
airplane maintenance and aviation events can be nominated.
Services provided in aviation technology or aviation policies will also
qualify candidates for the award. Some people will qualify for all 3
awards so we encourage you to nominate them for each category
they qualify for. Also dont get discouraged if your nominee doesnt
win since it is an honor just to be nominated and these prestigious
awards are presented each year to make sure candidates are
recognized for their hard work. There is no limit to the number of
times a candidate can be nominated for an award.
All nominations must be submitted to the Department of Aviation
by 5pm on May 23rd 2014. A select committee will then review
the nominations and make a selection based upon qualifications. An
award doesnt have to be given in every category. For example, one
category may have more then one winner or none at all.
