LOGLINE: Rival biker gangs find themselves trapped in a house of satanic worship with Hollywoods most dangerous gun

runner, a woman possessed by a demonic entity.

SYNOPSIS: The Death Riders are a Hollywood based Motorcycle Club who have an ongoing rivalry with another M.C., The 69ers. This is a life that Skyler is growing tired of. It was hot and heavy back when she was young and stupid, but now, in her early thirties, its a tired game that she is well over. Her old man, Road Dawg, a lieutenant in The Death Riders, feels differently. He wants to step things up weapons wise, but thats a problem. Anything heavy is controlled by the 69ers and their dealer, a homicidal woman named Astrid. Road Dawg goes behind the M.C.s back and sets up a side deal with her at a local bar. The plan is simple. Meet Astrid and two of the 69ers at an empty house in the Hollywood hills. Load up the weapons into a car and have Skyler and her girlfriends, Sash, and Snickers, transport them back to Skylers place. Very smooth. Late that night, Road Dawg, along with his boys Crazy Craig and Pitch, show up for the buy. Skyler and the girls bring up the rear in a black 68 muscle car. Tensions are high, but, with the deal made, everyone is set to walk away happy, then the money and the guns go missing. The old rivalry is sparked and guns are drawn. Distrust leads to murder, chaos, and the realization that someone and something is in there with them

CHARACTERS
THE CHARACTERS OF THE DEATH RIDERS ARE MORALLY AMBIGUOUS. HARD EDGED AND DANGEROUS, THEY SURVIVE IN A WORLD WHERE WEAKNESS IS AN OPENLY EXPLOITABLE FLAW. THE MEN THINK OF THEMSELVES AS KINGS AND WALK WITH A SENSE OF ENTITLEMENT. THE MOTORCYCLE CLUBS OPERATE LIKE ARMYS, WORKING WITH EACH OTHER WHEN NESSCESARY, BUT NEVER TRULY AT PEACE. IT TAKES A STRONG, IRON WILLED WOMAN TO PLAY IN THIS PARTICULAR MENS WORLD. THE WOMEN OF THE DEATH RIDERS ARE SMART, COMPETENT WOMEN WHO ARE SEXY AND LOVING, WITHOUT BEING WEAK AND SUBMISSIVE. OTHER FORCES ARE AT WORK IN THIS WORLD. DARK FORCES THAT OTHERS SEEK TO CONTROL.

A HOLLYWOOD BASED M.C. DEALING IN PROTECTION AND SMUGGLING. THE CLUB PRESIDENT, BIG JAKE, BELIEVES IN BEING SAFE DANGEROUS, WHICH ISNT ALLOWING THE CLUBS ENTERPRISES TO FLOURISH. THIS IS MUCH TO THE CHAGRIN OF SOME MEMBERS.

SKYLER CHAN 34 yrs. Small Amerasian brunette. Large tattoo framing her abdomen with two guns and a skull. Motorcycle and hotrod enthusiast. Wrestler. A physically tough woman with a soft heart. Her man is her weakness. She stands firm in all aspects of her life but is constantly railroaded by her lover.

SASH BOGINSKAYA 28 yrs. Skylers best friend. Long dark hair and heavily tattooed. She is wild and has commitment issues but is trying to work through them. More girlie than Skyler, she is still a force to be reckoned with.

SARA SNICKERS RAFERTY 25 yrs short haired brunette. Young party girl. Biker groupie. Interested in the occult. She acts tougher than she is so she can continue to hang with the club. She is also the sometimes lover of Sash.

CHAD ROAD DAWG GARRISON 36 yrs. Tall gruff biker. Arrogant. Self-serving. Motivated by greed and a need for power. Liar. Loves to tell stories that make him come off like a bad ass.

CRAZY CRAIG MCDONALD 38 yrs. Laid back, good natured member of the group. Short in stature and bald. A thinker and a lover more than he is a fighter. His body is a bit wrecked from years of hard partying and riding. Enjoys comic relief when appropriate but is definitely not the group stooge.

SIMON PITCH BOSLEY 39 Yrs. Stereotypical biker. Lewd, rude, misogynistic, he lives hard and drinks harder! Had recently hooked up with Snickers and doesnt realize (or care) that she didnt enjoy it.

THE 69ERS ARE A STATE WIDE OUTLAW MOTORCYCLE CLUB. THEY DEAL IN GUN RUNNING AND STRIP CLUBS. THEY ARE A LARGE ORGANIZATION WITH FEW BOUNDARIES.

ASTRID SILVA 35- 39 yrs. Gun dealer. Cowboy hat and leather. Though not a member of the 69ers per se, she uses the club as her personal enforcers and delivery boys. Supplier to criminals and motorcycle clubs. Jaded. Sharp tongued. Psychotic. Stories precede her about the gruesome death of her brother at her hands. Will kill you at the drop of a hat. Been in prison twice and is not afraid of anyone. Used to using her sexuality to get what she wants.

TRASK 45 yrs. 7 tall muscle bound biker. Long salt and peppered hair. Ex-football player. Loyal. Violent. Does not care if you are a man or a woman. Will bleed you if it is necessary. Carries a large retractable machete.

ORTIZ 35 YRS. 610 Mexican. He thinks before he acts. Considers himself a player. Sees him and Skyler together in some twisted Bonnie and Clyde like relationship.

The LEFT HAND BLACK often rejects societal convention and the status quo. As a part of this, LHP followers embrace magical techniques that would traditionally be viewed as taboo, including sex magic and embracing Satanic imagery. THE LOCATIONS OF THE DEATH RIDERS ARE GRITTY, BUT WITH A SLANT TOWARDS EUROPEAN GOTHIC. BY THAT, I MEAN THAT EACH LOCATION WILL HAVE A SENSE OF MYSTERY AND FOREBODDING NOT PRESENT IN TODAYS FILMS. EACH LOCATION WILL RESONATE AS A SET PIECE WHICH RESULTS IN A RESONATION WITH THE WORLD WE ARE CREATING. THE ESTATE, THE CLUBHOUSE, AND THE BAR WILL FEEL LIKE PLACES YOU BOTH WOULD LOVE TO VISIT AND BE WARY OF WALKING AROUND ALONE. THE SETTING OF HOLLYWOOD, CA. ADDS TO THE OVERALL FAMILIARITY OF THE WORLD WHILE THE STRUCTURES WILL BE IDEALIZED VISIONS TO CREATE AN OVERALL FEELING THAT WILL STAY WITH YOU AND FEED THE ATMOSPHERE OF THE STORY.

THE ESTATE: A LARGE SOMEWHAT ISOLATED HOUSE IN THE HOLLYWOOD HILLS. LONG HALLS, BASEMENTS, ATTICS, ROOMS THAT GO ON FOREVER. THE HOME HAS BEEN EMPTY FOR SOME TIMEOR SO IT IS BELIEVED. MANY STRANGE THINGS ARE RUMORED TO GO ON.

THE DEATH RIDERS CLUB HOUSE A SMALL HOME IN A RUN DOWN HOLLYWOOD NEIGHBORHOOD. OWNED BY CLUB PRESIDENT BIG JAKE, THE HOUSE IS A NON STOP PARTY AND HAVEN FOR ALL DEATH RIDERS.

THE BOOTLEG BAR IS A SEEDY HOLLYWOOD BAR THAT PLAYS HOST TO LOCAL ROCK, PUNK, AND METAL BANDS. BIKERS, TOUGH GUYS, AND UNSAVORY TYPES FREQUENT THE PLACE BECAUSE MANAGEMENT TENDS TO LOOK THE OTHER WAY. SORT OF A MOS EISLEYS CANTINA MEETS CBGBS.

CINEMATOGRAPHY AND TONE THE DEATH RIDERS WILL BE SHOT IN WARM TONES THAT CREATE A COMFORTING BUT CLAUSTROPHOBIC FEELING. DEEP REDS, BLUES, AND GREENS. SIMILAR STYLES INCLUDE FILMS BY MARIO BAVA, LEON KLIMOVSKY, AND JOSE RAMON LARRAZ. THIS IS A VERY 1970S EUROPEAN FILM IN TERMS OF LIGHTING.

I GREW UP IN A TIME WHEN HORROR WAS STILL HORRIFYING. A TIME WHEN STRANGE SUPERNATURAL THINGS HAPPENED TO ADULTS, NOT KIDS. THE SUBJECTS WERE TREATED REALISTICALLY. SURE THEY WERE FANTASTIC AND OFTEN SATANIC (HENCE THE TERM I COINED; THE SATANIC SEVENTIES), BUT THERE ALWAYS SEEMED TO BE AN UNDERCURRENT OF CREDIBILITY WHICH IS WHY THESE FILMS STAYED WITH YOU. THIS IS WHAT I WANT TO BRING BACK TO HORROR. SMART, RELATABLE PEOPLE WHO LIVE LIFE ON THE EDGE AND CROSS BOUNDARIES. STRONG WOMEN THAT TRIUMPH DUE TO THEIR TOUGH NATURE AND WILL TO CONQUER, NOT BECAUSE THEY HAVE A SMART PHONE, AN IPOD AND CAN GOOGLE HORROR MOVIES. THE DIALOGUE IS SHARP AND REAL. THE CHARACTERS MOTIVATIONS ARE GREY, LIKE MANY OF US, NOT BLACK AND WHITE. VISUALLY, THE DEATH RIDERS WILL CAPTURE THE LOOK OF MAGAZINES LIKE CREEPY, EERIE, AND NIGHTMARE. THE STORIES PRESENTED A VERY SPECIFIC AESTHETIC; MODERN CHARACTERS IN CLASSIC GOTHIC SETTINGS. THIS LOOK EXPLOITS THE BEAUTY OF TRUE HORROR WHILE ALLOWING THE VIEWER TO TRULY PLACE THEMSELVES IN THE SITUATIONS PRESENTED. THIS IS WHERE THE DEATH RIDERS WILL TAKE YOU.
