Cork Nepalese Community, Ireland Proposal Preserving the enatic tradition and culture of the Nepalese community resident

in Cork Ireland, and not letting it to vanish, will be the main priority of our organization. The organization will be marching ahead as a milestone for the promotion of Nepalese culture on the behalf of Nepalese people. Along with this, CNCI will also be focused on attracting the foreigners through our culture. By which we would help to promote the Nepalese tourism. Our organization will move ahead together by keeping hand in hand and also representing and acknowledging as a responsible organization. If necessary, CNCI will help to solve the problem the members of the institution face. Our organization will be non-profitable, non-political, non-racial and non-religious.

THE CONSTITUTION OF CORK NEPALEASE COMMUNITY, IRELAND 1. Name: Cork Nepalese community Address: Cork, Ireland Symbol: A circle concentric to another with the image of Buddha in the center and the image of Mt. Everest outlining it 2. Purpose a) Help to give the proper Nepalese Culture b) Help achieve the goals of the members of this institution c) Identify the skills and distinguish the efforts of the members of this institution d) Help solve the difficulties and obstacles the members of this institution face e) Help maintain friendship, exchange of information and mutual co-operation among the members of this institution f) Help publicize and uplift social, religious, economic and touristry fields of Nepal Membership a) Membership will be granted to most Nepalese who are residing in Cork envisioning various dreams and purposes b) Prospective members should be at least of the Nepalese origin. c) Membership fee will be a fixed amount of 10 euro. Renewal fee would only be 10 euro and should be paid within 15 days of the beginning of the new fiscal year. d) Lifetime membership will be granted to persons donating a full amount of 200 euro, however in a condition that they will not be able to be a part of the executive committee. Voiding Membership a) In the event of non-renewal every two years membership will be automatically considered voided b) In case the member acts against the benefit of the organization or violates the constitution c) In the event of embezzlement of the organizations fund d) In case the member will absent in meeting for three times without any information e) In other situations upon the discretion of the executive committee Structure of the committee Based on the constitution, thirteen elected members will operate the organization. 1) President 2) Vice-president 3) General Secretary 4) Vice-secretary 5) Treasurer 6) Sub-treasure 7) Publication/ web coordinator 8) Programme coordinator 9) Culture coordinator 10) sports coordinator

Responsibilities and authorities of the executive committee 1. Responsibilities and rights of the President A. Presiding over the executive meeting and the general meeting B. Providing the ultimate decisive vote C. Allotting tasks to the members of executive committee D. Executing the decisions of the executive committee E. Ensuring expenditure according to the decisions of the executive committee F. Endorsing the decision booklet 2. Responsibilities and rights of the Vice-President A. Responsibilities and rights of the Members A. Showing presence in meetings B. Endorsing the decision booklet C. Executing the duties assigned to them General Meeting the members of the General Meeting would only be the ones chosen based on the constitution. Structure of the General Meeting A. According to the aforementioned constitutional clause the Nepalese who are granted membership will be the members of the General Meeting B. The President of executive committee will be the President of the General Meeting C. The duties of the Secretary of General Meeting will be executed by the Secretary of the executive committee D. All Members of General Meeting will have equal power and voting rights E. The quorum for the operation of General Meeting will be set at 51% otherwise the next meeting should be called within a month. The second meeting will also need a quorum of 51% otherwise a third meeting should be called within fifteen days and the number of the members present at the meeting itself will be the quorum. F. Member of General Meeting can announce candidacy at any one position in the executive committee.

G. The emergency meeting .

Responsibilities and rights of the President of General Meeting A. The President of the executive committee will preside over General Meeting B. The President will give the decisive last vote, if the discussions in the General Meeting will result in voting for decision. C. The President has to execute the decisions finalized in the General Meeting. D. Based on the urgency of the situation the President can use his given rights for special circumstantial powers while not compromising the constitution. Responsibilities and rights of the Secretary of General Meeting A. Monitoring the General Meeting and maintaining the minutes. B. Assisting the President as per the necessity Responsibilities and rights of the Members of General Meeting A. Approving/disapproving of the proposals of the executive committee following necessary discussions. B. Finalizing the fiscal income-expenditure account based on the decision of organization following appropriate discussion and revision. C. Using the right to vote if decisions cannot be reached in discussions. D. The members can change or edit the constitutional clauses upon two third of the members votes if deemed necessary.

Management of the Elections A) Each member of the General Meeting is eligible to announce candidacy in any one position of the executive committee. B) The General Meeting will establish the election committee from among its members. C) For the nomination of presidents position, the member should have worked for at least 2 years on the committee. C) The registration fee for candidacy will be a full and fixed amount of 25 euro. D) In the event of a tie, *golapratha* re-election can be conducted. E) The election committee will be terminating along with the announcement of the election being completed. Management of the Accounts A) The accounting committee can oversee and validate the accounts prepared by Treasurer and such report need to present and pass from general meeting. B) In the event of the expiration of the accounting committee, the report prepared by the accounting committee can be approved by the decision of the executive committee and presented in General Meeting by the Treasurer or any member of General Meeting. C) February 28th will be considered the last day of a fiscal year of the organization. (The flexibility of clause III) D) In the event of failure to renew membership within 35 days of the fiscal year, membership can be still renewed upon the payment of additional 5 euro; otherwise the membership will be voided.
