We have included this manual with the Hunter books because it is a well though out strategy for holding larger meetings.

Citywide Coordinator An Overview


The position of CIT -WI!" C##$!I%&T#$ for a Healing "'plosion is of vital importance to the overall success of this event. In cities where the pastors and their churches work together in unity on behalf of a Healing "'plosion( auditoriums are packed and thousands of lives are touched by the power of )od. In cities where this does not take place( results are far less effective. &s the CIT -WI!" C##$!I%&T#$( your *ob is to generate the participation( support and cooperation of as many churches as possible and coordinate their combined efforts to undergird the meeting in prayer( publici+e the event( and personally invite as many as possible to the Healing "'plosion. &s the CIT -WI!" C##$!I%&T#$( you will %#T be responsible in any way for the finances re,uired to meet the e'penses of the Healing "'plosion and its associated meetings( nor for selection and management of such facilities as the auditorium-arena and conference hotel. ou will be totally dedicated to working with the area churches( stimulating and coordinating their involvement. Communication between all members of the Crusade Team is vital. .lease keep in regular contact with the !allas $epresentative coordinating the activities in your city as well as the Crusade Coordinator.

Pastors+!eaders" Meeting
Hunter Ministries will schedule a .&8T#$8>-3"&!"$8> M""TI%) and invite area pastors and other Christian leaders of the area by mail and phone. ou will be introduced as the CIT -WI!" C##$!I%&T#$ for the Healing "'plosion and will be asked to briefly share your vision of what the Healing "'plosion can do for your city. This is where your duties officially begin. %#T"? &ny contacts with pastors and organi+ation leaders which you can make prior to the luncheon to encourage their participation will be e'tremely helpful. Close contact with the !allas $epresentative coordinating this meeting is very important. !uring this meeting( the vision of the Healing "'plosion( how each .astor can start a :I!"# H"&3I%) 8CH##3 in his own church and the organi+ational structure for church participation in the event will be e'plained. "ach pastor will be asked to assign one or two members of his church 5or fellowship group7 to each of the si' committees and return with those representatives to an #$)&%I@&TI#%&3 M""TI%) scheduled appro'imately si' weeks prior to the Healing "'plosion. 5Aor a description of these committees( see the section entitled C#MMIIT""8.7

Aollowing the .astors-3eaders> Meeting


Within a week after the luncheon( you should contact by telephone or in person the pastors and leaders who attended or were represented at the luncheon. 5This may be done by a capable staff member under your direct supervision.7 !uring this follow-up contact( you should? /. 8hare the e'citement and enthusiasm felt by you and others in your city. 0. !o they have a Healing 8choolB a. !o they need suppliesB b. !o they understand the best format for conducting a :ideo Healing 8choolB c. #ffer encouragement and suggestions for TH"I$ success in assisting TH"I$ people to grow and become involved. d. "ncourage all churches to begin a school. "mphasi+e what a school can do for their church. e. "'plain that all healing team applications need to be completed and mailed in at the start of the school. f. 5$eview section entitled H"&3I%) 8CH##38.7 C. 8tress the importance of the upcoming #$)&%I@&TI#%&3 M""TI%) and answer any ,uestions about its purpose. a. Make sure they understand they are to bring as many representatives as possible from their church for "&CH of the si' committees. ou should also contact by telephone or in person those pastors and leaders who were not represented at the .&8T#$8>-3"&!"$8> M""TI%). .roceed according to the following outline? /. =egin with churches which are most likely to become involved. 0. Continue with key churches from every denominational affiliation. 5 ou will be surprised at those who say D esE.7 C. Mention well known churches that are already participating. This is important to pastors and may have a ma*or influence on their decision to become involved. 1. 8tress the importance of the #$)&%I@&TI#%&3 M""TI%). &sk them to bring as many representatives as possible from their church. &gain( the above calling may be done by a capable staff person under your direct supervision.

Organi#ational Meeting
The #$)&%I@&TI#%&3 M""TI%) is the key to the success of the Healing "'plosion. )ood representation by FG or more churches will lead to a successful Healing "'plosion. .ast #$)&%I@&TI#%&3 M""TI%)8 have been attended by as many as HGG representatives from HG churches. It is not unreasonable to have a goal of /GG or more participating churches for a Healing "'plosion. The location and date of this meeting will be scheduled by Hunter Ministries. The CIT C##$!I%&T#$ will arrange for CIT a local music group to lead 0G minutes of praise and worship at the beginning of this meeting. ou will be introduced as the CIT WI!" C##$!I%&T#$ at this meeting and asked to share what the Healing "'plosion can do for your city. &fter a brief discussion of the Healing "'plosion and the organi+ational structure of a successful Healing "'plosion( the si' committees will break into groups and meet briefly with the Committee Chairmen and a member of the Hunter 8taff. .romotional supplies( video tapes( books and informational materials will be available in ,uantity for distribution. CG and 4G second radio spots will also be available upon re,uest. C#MMI/T"" CH&I$M"% for each of the si' committees will be selected and recogni+ed at this meeting. They will serve under your direction to assist you in carrying out your overall ob*ectives of stimulating and coordinating the efforts of all participating churches and organi+ations in your city. &lthough you will be asked to give recommendations for people to chair these committees( Hunter MinistriesI personnel will assist you in final selection and appointing the C#MMI/T"" CH&I$M"% during the #$)&%I@&TI#%&3 M""TI%).

Healing S%$ool
:I!"# H"&3I%) 8CH##38 will be held throughout the area surrounding the Healing "'plosion site. To ,ualify for a Healing Team( 8pirit-filled Christians must watch /1 hours of video teaching by Charles and Arances Hunter as well as read the book H#W T# H"&3 TH" 8ICJ. To facilitate this teaching( the video tapes are Don loanE to local churches and fellowship groups for several months prior to the Healing "'plosion. The tapes are to be shown free of charge to everybody who wishes to view them. #fferings may be taken to defray e'penses. The tapes may be purchased at any time. The book H#W T# H"&3 TH" 8ICJ as well as any other Hunter =ook are available at a 1GK discount to all :ideo 8chool Coordinators. They have the option to sell the books at retail and again use the profit to defray e'penses e.g. utilities( advertising( fliers etc. Many :I!"# H"&3I%) 8CH##38 will be started during the .&8T#$8>-3"&!"$8> 3;%CH"#%. Many others will be started through phone contacts made by our !allas :ideo Coordinators. #ne Coordinator will be working e'clusively on your city contacting all the local pastors-leaders and encouraging them to get involved with the "'plosion. This !allas :I!"# C##$!I%&T#$ will also be in close contact with every :I!"# H"&3I%) 8CH##3 C##$!I%&T#$ to encourage them( answer any ,uestions and keep them up-to-date on current developments. 8ince many of the active C#MMITT"" M"M="$8 are also attending :I!"# 8CH##38( some duplication of contact is inevitable. :ideo tapes are to be returned to the Houston office or to the Healing "'plosion book table before the completion of the "'plosion. Invoices re,uesting payment will be mailed appro'imately two weeks after the "'plosion to those who have not complied. Tapes can be purchased at any time to enable your school to remain ongoing.

Healing &eam Mem.ers

8pecific re,uirements are set up for all H"&3I%) T"&M M"M="$8. .lease review and encourage all prospective team members to comply. /. They must be 8pirit-filled 5=aptism in the Holy 8pirit will be ministered the first night.7 0. They must read &33 the book H#W T# H"&3 TH" 8ICJ. C. They must view &33 /1 hours of video teaching H#W T# H"&3 TH" 8ICJ or listen to the /1 hours of audio. 1. They must be at &33 the live training sessions on the day of the "'plosion...and should make every effort to be at &33 training sessions possible.

Healing &eam Su/ervisors


=ecause DbabyE team members have many ,uestions and need encouragement( many 8;."$:I8#$8 are needed the night of the "'plosion. Those ,ualified team members who have ministered at two or more "'plosions in the past will be interviewed briefly and considered for the positions of H"&3I%) T"&M 8;."$:I8#$8. 3ocal 8pirit filled pastors may also be recommended to assist with supervision. Ainal assignments for 8;."$:I8#$8 will lay with =ob =arker( International Crusade !irector during the final instructions for the H"&3I%) T"&M8.

Committee C$airmen
Where possible( the CH&I$M"% should come from various churches-groups-denominations and should have the coordination abilities necessary to fulfill the duties set forth for their committees. &ppro'imately five working days after the #$)&%I@&TI#%&3 M""TI%)( the following lists of those attending the meeting will be sent out by the Houston office of Hunter Ministries?

/. &s the CIT -WI!" C##$!I%&T#$( you will receive a list of &33 people attending the #$)&%I@&TI#%&3 M""TI%) including CH&I$M&% name( address( phone and church affiliation of all members of his committee. 0. "ach person attending the #$)&%I@&TI#%&3 M""TI%) will receive the name and telephone number of all C#MMITT"" CH&I$M"% C. The video school listing and church listing will be a good source for additional committee members if necessary.

Committee Mem.ers
The names( addresses and phone numbers of all C#MMITT"" M"M="$8 within each local church should be maintained by each Church $epresentative for his committee. These names( addresses and phone numbers should be passed on by the Church $epresentatives to the CIT -WI!" C#MMITT"" CH&I$M"% no later than two weeks prior to the Healing "'plosion. This is vitally important and serves two purposes? /. Insures that all Committee Members can be contacted ,uickly with any last minute instructions. 0. Is there ade,uate numbers for the work to be accomplishedB Is additional recruitment of volunteers necessaryB &s the CIT -WI!" C##$!I%&T#$( you must re,uire these lists of your C#MMITT"" CH&I$M"%( who in turn must re,uire them from their Church $epresentatives. This stimulates accountability and verifies the work is being done. This list of names should be forwarded to the Houston office of Hunter Ministries. 8pecific last minute instructions and encouragement will be mailed to each committee member a few days before the "'plosion as well as a Dthank youE following the close of the Healing "'plosion meetings.

Committee Meetings
& CIT -WI!" C#MMITI"" M""TI%) should be scheduled by each C#MMITT"" CH&I $M&% with one or two representatives from each participating church attending. These meetings should be held at least three weeks prior to the Healing "'plosion. The selection of a location( date and time( as well as the calling of these meetings( are the responsibility of the respective C#MMITT"" CH&I$M"%. However( as the CIT -WI!" C##$!I%&T#$( you need to instruct them in their responsibility to hold these meetings and verily that these meetings do take place in a timely manner. &t each of these CIT -WI!" C#MMITT"" M""TI%)8( the respective C#MMITT"" CH&I$M&% will encourage each church representative( answer ,uestions( discuss the progress being made in the churches( make suggestions and have a time of corporate prayer. .ublicity supplies should be distributed through all of these CIT -WI!" C#MMITT"" M""TI%)8. $e,uests for posters( fliers( and-or tabloids need to be submitted to the Houston office at least /G working days prior to the scheduled meeting date. !ial /-LGG-0C/-CG01 and ask for .;=3ICIT .

!o%al C$ur%$ Committee Meetings


"ach Church $epresentative 5or co-representatives7 should hold a meeting of the Committee Members in their church within one week following the CIT -WI!" C#MMITT"" M""TI%) which they attend. The purpose of these meetings is to e'plain to every Committee Member the function of that committee and assign Committee Member specific tasks. The representative heading up that committee within his church is responsible for calling this meeting and for following up with his members to be sure that the work is getting done. &s the CIT -WI!" C##$!I%&T#$ you need to e'plain this procedure to your C#MMITT"" CH&I$M"% when you meet with them.

Ongoing Conta%t wit$ Committee C$airmen


&s the CIT -WI!" C##$!I%&T#$ you must maintain on-going contact with each of your C#MMI/T"" CH&I$M"%. Monitor their progress and give direction where needed. 8tay in close contact with the .ublicity Chairman and be responsible for contacting the Houston #ffice of Hunter Ministries for additional promotional materials. &lso be certain that the .rayer Chairman has scheduled at least two CIT -WI!" .$& "$ M""TI%)8 prior to the Healing "'plosion.

MEE&-N0 O* COMM-&*EE CHA-'MEN


Within two weeks following the #$)&%I@&TI#%&3 M""TI%)( you must have a meeting with all of your C#MMI/T"" CH&I$M"%. The selection of a location( date and time( as well as the calling of this meeting is your responsibility. The purposes of this meeting are as follows? /. )enerate a team spirit that will strengthen the chairmen in their respective tasks. Calling this meeting( praying and sharing together will overcome any apprehensions that the C#MMI/T"" CH&I$M"% may have about fulfilling their assignment. 0. )o over the organi+ation chart and e'plain how the organi+ational structure works. 58ee section entitled #$)&%I@&TI#%&3 8T$;CT;$".7 C. &nswer any ,uestions which the Committee CH&I$M"% may have about their duties. our good *udgment combined with regular contact with the Hunter Ministries staff will enable you to answer most ,uestions on the spot( or if not( then promise an answer within a couple of days. 1. Monitor the progress of your Committee CH&I$M"%. When Committee CH&I$M"% understand that you will be contacting them regularly for a progress report( they will stay motivated.

Bring t$e Believers
This committee is headed up by the 8enior .astor of the individual churches-groups howeverM it may be delegated to a lay leader at the discretion of the .astor.

/. &ppoint the representatives for the other committees. 0. .rior to the Healing "'plosion( announce the meeting details at all your services( on your radio-T: programs and in all your literature 5bulletins( monthly newsletters( etc.7 CG and 4G second radio spots and an e'cellent /-0 hour T: special are also available for any DfreeE airtime. &ny DpaidE advertising must be cleared through 999999999999999999999 .. The .romo Tape introducing the "'plosion can easily be shown to your group of believers both to encourage them to attend the "'plosion and to start training for a healing team. This tape is available through the CIT -WI!" C##$!I%&T#$. C. Call friends who are Christian leaders in your community and get them involved. 5If you give us these names( we will contact them and send them all necessary advertising materials.

This information may be given to the .$& "$ C#MMITT"" either by the CIT -WI!" .$& "$ C#MMITT"" CH&I$M&% or a Hunter 8taff Member? /. 3ocal $ecruitment a. Contact your pastor and arrange a prayer meeting specifically for the Healing "'plosion. b. Tell everyone you know about the Healing "'plosion and ask them to *oin you in praying for its success. Invite them to the prayer meetings scheduled around the city.

F. 8pecific prayer re,uests for the Healing "'plosion? a. Healing Teams in training b. The sick will come and receive their healing. c. Thousands will be saved and filled with the Holy )host....causing revival to spread throughout the city and surrounding state. d. This may be given by the C#MMITT"" CH&I$M&% or by a Hunter 8taff Member. & special DwheelchairE section will be provided at the Healing "'plosion. &sk any )$""T"$ or ;8H"$ upon entering the building for specific instructions. & reserved section for the Ddeaf or hard of hearing will have a special interpreter for the deaf. Contact with a local interpreter 5preferably 8pirit-filled7 is necessary no later than one month before the "'plosion. .lease relay the person>s name and address to 999999999. /. 3ocal recruitment? a. "ncourage DeveryoneE to bring those who need healing. Aellow believers( friends( relatives( co-workers( neighbors etc. b. &ll healing team members should be doing the same. c. 8et a goal for the number of people you will bring-invite to the Healing "'plosion. "ncourage others to set their own goals. 0. & CIT -WI!" Media
&ll media ."$8#%&3 &.."&$&%C"8 and I%T"$:I"W8 with Charles and Arances are scheduled in the Houston office. The radio station( T: station or newspaper representative should contact 9999999999999999 . We do like to work with a local 8pirit-filled .ublic $elations person if one is available. $ecommendations from the CIT -WI!" C##$!I%&T#$ would certainly be considered carefully. "'act duties and responsibilities would be discussed with the person in relation to previous e'perience and abilities. .rimarily( this person would be e'pected to make contacts with the media for ."$8#%&3 I%T"$:I"W8 and &.."&$&%C"8 for ma'imum e'posure of Charles and Arances and the Healing "'plosion. &ll T: and radio .&I! advertising is scheduled( approved and distributed by the !allas office. A$"" advertising may be placed by local publicity people e.g. .8&>s 5.ublic 8ervice &nnouncements7 and Community Calendars. &ny suggestions and comments on the most effective stations-newspapers would be most helpful and welcomed. & complete schedule of the proposed advertising will be forwarded to the CIT -WI!" Promotional 1ideo
Hunter Ministries has produced a special 00 minute .$#M#TI#%&3 :I!"# tape to be used as an introductory tool for the Healing "'plosions. It will be used in the following manner? /. #ne-to-one meetings with local pastors by either the CIT -WI!" C##$!I%&T#$ or Hunter Ministry representative. 0. 8hown at the .&8T#$8-3"&!"$8> M""TI%). C. ;sed by the local pastors to introduce the Healing "'plosion and Healing 8chools to his congregation. 1. Aor leaders who must receive approval from their board or lay leaders to proceed with their involvement in the Healing "'plosion. .3"&8" %#T"? 8ince a limited number of these promotional tapes are available for each "'plosion territory( they should be they should be returned to the !allas office no later than one month before the "'plosion begins.

Advertising Mailings

%umerous mailings are scheduled to drop during the si' months prior to the Healing "'plosion. Copies of all proposed mailings to your area will be included in this packet 5or follow shortly7. .lease note drop dates and anticipate Airst Class delivery at F-H days( ;.8 at H to /G days and =ulk at 0-C weeks. ou will be receiving a copy of all mailings into the Healing "'plosion area as they are mailed from the Houston #ffice. If any difficulty arises with any mailings( please call immediately. If a particular approach has been successful in developing a Christian Crusade in your area in the past which is not included in this packet( suggestions are certainly welcome. .lease contact the Crusade Coordinator.
