METHOD STATEMENT FOR RELOCATED ARTERIAL ROAD 1. GENERAL

NS-Link project has some location of arterial road shall construct the widening along STA 0+000 until STA 1+750 paralel with long section of main road due to both side, east and west side. Location of widening explain by the name of zone as : - Widening A STA 0+000 ~ 0+850 (West side) - Widening B STA 0+850 ~ 1+400 (West side) - Widening C STA 0+000 ~ 0+275 (East side) - Widening D STA 0+275 ~ 0+475 (West side) - Widening E STA 0+475 ~ 0+850 (West side) - Widening C STA 0+850 ~ 1+475 (East side) - Widening C STA 1+475 ~ 1+750 (East side) Some part of the widening zone. Shall land acguistion and the other part of zone can start of the right of way (ROW) of the arterial road, without land acguistion. However during widening road construction, there are other works on the ground that should be commenced, such as : Relocation of side ditch; Relocation of PLN poles; Relocation of Telkom secondary poles; Relocation utility and other obstruction; Concreting utility with foam concrete

So we need exactly position of the utility underground, by using basic drawing utility and then check by test pit, also coordination to the utility company. The exact coordinate after test pit will shown at the drawing and its influence to the scheme of widening work also to completely the schedule. Also, the big issues that commonly occur regarding with land acquisition of relocation of arterial road should be absolutely clear. Relocation of arterial road shall be constructed every 100m simultaneously, which make it easier for all parties to work, supervise and also for exiting traffic that shall be less disturbed. traffic survey should commenced firstly to identify the actual traffic load and its composition, thus by identification of traffic characteristic the work strategy for constructing relocation of arterial road could be managed smoothly.

2. WORK SEQUENCE

3. STAKE OUT & PRE-MARKING

Before commencing widening construction, the survey team shall start to prepare stakingout and pre-marking to determine the exact location according to shop drawing which complies with design alignment. Stake-out and pre-marking shall be taken each 12.5m by following the design alignment. This stake-out andpre-marking must also covered exact location/position of existing utilities that lies within this widening area, so the relocation schedule among project team and related utility company could be arrange properly.

4. TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT & UTILITIES 4.1 UTILITIES

There are many utilities on the ground such as lighting pole, guiede sign, etc. that must be relocated regarding with widening area, therefore some illegal obstructions on that site, must be removed too, in this case thos obstruction shall be removed by the project team. All this activities shall be coordinate and arrange by project team with related company or local authority to commence relocation. The relocation of utilities shall be conducted by each company that owns the utility, based on their standard method and work procedure.

4.2

TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT
As for traffic management must be arranging in such way. It must be arrange to minimize disturbance and accommodate safety for pedestrians away from existing traffic. The working area shall be protected by combination of MCB; Cone and Wooden Barrier. They were functioned to aware public to distinguish that there is an on-going construction works and which also functioned as constructions boundary. Also some information of the activities of work and safety sign board will install during the working. Warning signboards shall be installed to indicate the danger and hazards of sites. Information and directional signboards will be installed for traffic control. Basic principle for traffic management must be (at last) following the requirement, such as: Keep at least 0,50m width for pedestrian (if possible)

4.3

TYPICAL DETAIL CROSS SECTION

Warning signboards and traffic signs should be placed for at last 100-150m before construction of widening board, Sidewalk will be shifted according to the progress of construction Keep smooth traffic stream on the existing arterial road

Note: - excavation of drainage will be used man power to abserve at the first time for the utility underground. After observation done will continue by small excavator. - excavation of drainage will maintance by dump truck bring excavating soil out the project. -during the excavation supervision from the utility company will monitor and keep the coordinating during the work. 7. PAVEMENT WORKS
After the completion of necessary work such as embankment, and roadway excavation, dealing with underground utilities, pavement works will follow. 7.1 SUB-GRADE PREPARATION. The base of completed embankment and cut areas will prepare in design level and alignment with lightweight concrete (foam concrete) 7.2 WET LEAN CONCRETE. Right after the sub-grade preparation passed the required FDT, a lean concrete will be cast. Soon after the concrete directly poured from truck mixer then directly screed manually by workers using wooden trowel/bull float. 7.3 PLASTIC POLYETHELENE. Before constructing the PCCP, the plastic polyethylene, =1,25mm; w=150gr/sq.m should be laid down on wet lean concrete. Prior to installation of polyethylene sheets, the surface of the wet lean concrete shall be free of unnecessary materials. 7.4 PCCP CONSTRUCTION. There are several stages before PCCP construction could be made completely. 7.4.1 Longitudinal Construction Joint. Before construction the PCCP, in order to make a good connection with existing rigid pavement on arterial road, the connection shall be made by longitudinal construction joint. Prepare horizontal holes in existing rigid pavement by drilling with 20mm diameter and 400mm deep. Clean the holes by spraying them with pressure water and then fill the holes with mixture of cement mortar and additive paste. Then insert the deformed tie bars, grade 40 13-600 into those holes. Protect the bars from corrosion by brushing them with rust preventing paint. 7.4.2 Edge Reinforcement & Expansion Joint. Along with longitudinal construction joint installation, edge reinforcement and expansion joint (use Styrofoam sheet) should be prepared formerly before concrete placing. 7.4.3 Side Formwork. Side formwork for PCCP shall use steel. There are several things that must be aware for setting the formwork, such: The forms shall not deviate from true line by more than 5mm @ any point. Installation of dowels/expansion joints. The alignment and grade elevations of the forms shall be checked before placing the concrete. When any forms has been disturbed or

any grade has become unstable, the form shall be reset and rechecked. 7.4.4 Concrete Placing. The concrete shall be placing by direct pouring. Several things that must be aware during concrete placement, such : Concrete shall be deposited in such a manner to require minimal rehandling. Concrete to be compacted by vibrators, shall be struct off at such level. Should any concrete material fall on or be worked into the surface of a complete slab, it shall be removed immediately. 7.4.5 Strike-off of concrete. Following the placing of the concrete, it shall be struck off by concrete screed to conform to the cross-section shown on the plans and to an elevation such that when the concrete is properly consolidated and finished, the surface of the pavement will be at the elevation shown on the plans for cross section. 7.4.6 Final strike-off (consolidation and finishing). Stages of final strike-off : The sequence of operations shall be the strike-off and consolidation, floating and removal of laitance, straight-edging and final surface finish. Work bridges or other devices necessary to provide access to the pavement surface for the purpose of finishing, straight-edging, and make corrections as hereinafter, shall be provided. During screeding, the tops of the forms shall be kept clean and the travel of the concrete screed on the forms shall be maintained true without wobbling or other variation tending to the affect the precision finished. In case of breakdown of concrete screed and in narrow widths or areas of irregular dimensions where operations of concrete screed are impractical, hand finishing method shall be used. The screed will be at least 60cm longer than the maximum width of pavement to be struckoff. After the concrete has been struck-off and consolidated, it shall be further smoothed, trued, and consolidated by means of a bull float. This bull float shall be not less than 350cm in length and 15cm in width. The final finished is brushed finished; it shall be applied when the water sheen has practically disappeared. The broom shall be drawn from the center to the edge of the pavement with adjacent strokes slightly overlapping. The brooming operation should be so executed that the corrugations produced in the surface shall be uniform in appearance and not less than 0.75mm in depth. After the final finish, but before the concrete has taken its initial sets, the edges of the pavement along each side of each slab, and on each
