Volunteer Opportunities:
Role Model & Leader of Young People with Forige Dublin Become part of a team who provide the framework for a fun, dynamic, positive space for young people, aged between 10-12 / 12-15 / 16-18 yrs depending on the project. This type of volunteer led project requires individuals who are fun loving, committed to sustaining the project, energetic and compassionate. Forige are inviting individuals who might be interested in finding out about getting involved in some of the new volunteer-led youth initiatives for the Palmerstown community, to come along down for a cuppa and a biscuit in the new Palmerstown Community & Youth Centre on Wednesday 28th February at 8pm. Fundraising Assistant with Down Syndrome Ireland We are in a busy time now preparing for several events and are looking for a volunteer to help us keep everything on track. The role will be varied, and will offer an opportunity for learning on the go and getting involved with a widely recognised organisation. This role requires the volunteer to have an excellent command of English and good telephone skills. The volunteer will be working under the guidance of our Fundraising manager, so no previous experience in fundraising is required. Our offices are in City Link Business Park, Old Naas Road, Dublin 12 Fundraising Coordinator with H.O.P.E. Hands on Peer Education H.O.P.E. is a charity that offers our services to individuals affected by addiction in Dublins North Inner City. We operate on a very small and ever decreasing budget, while demand for our services increases year after year. We are a small, dedicated, positive team, and we want to ensure that our project can stay open, as it is such a valuable part of this community. We need a volunteer fundraising coordinator; someone who can give few hours a week to help us plan events and sponsorship; someone with enthusiasm to coordinate our efforts. Youth Mentor with The Yard, Solas Project Our mission is to equip young people in the community with practical and life skills. We will do this by providing a practical and realistic programme, aiming to enhance the lives of young people, both now and in the future. Your role would involve being a role model to young people between 14-17yrs of age. The project works through carpentry, bike maintenance and running car washes. You would come along and help with our car wash/valet service run by young lads on Saturday mornings 10am1pm. We are located on Marrowbone Lane, Dublin 8. Graphic designer with Caring & Sharing Association We need someone who is creative, able to work on own initiative, and has experience using graphic design software (either on a professional or personal level). Work load will be quite low and volunteer can do all the work from home so will need all relevant software/equipment themselves. Blossom Blister Sisters - Flora Women's Mini Marathon with Blossom Ireland We need women of all fitness levels to run, jog or walk the Flora Womens Mini Marathon this year on 2nd June. Will you do it for Blossom Ireland? Maybe you can you get a group together and join the Blossom Blister Sisters! Your participation will make a huge difference in the lives of the children we support. We are funded 100% by donations and fundraisers.
