Ages 8-17
Monday-Friday 2:45-5:00pm $10 per term, or $1 drop in per day EPCC welcomes youth to our open gym basketball. The program requires a registration form that is signed by a parent or gaurdian & student. Most days foosball & ping-ping are available in the solarium.

11-17yrs: Do you like fast paced games, then indoor raquet games are for you! Join us when we head to the Lloyd Athletic Club to workout with experienced coaches. Lifegaurd Certification
15 yrs and up: For lifegaurd canidates without a current StarGaurd lifegaurd certification. Students successfully completing the course receive first aid, CPR and StarGaurd certification. This course is only for lifegaurd canidates who will be applying to work at a Portland Parks & Recreation Facility. Please note that successful completion of certification classes does not guarantee employment. Lifegaurd Prerequesite testing must be completed prior to taking Lifegaurd certification. Prerequisites: 1. Age 15 or older by the 1st day of class 2. Must be able to swim: * 300 yards non-stop of breaststroak or freestyle * 50 yard swim head out of water breaststroke or freestyle * 50 yard swim w/ rescue tube of breaststroke or freestyle 3. Must be able to: * Feet first surface dive to bottom of pool and retrieve a 10 pound brick * Tread water 1 minute while holding brick * Tread water 1 minute with hands out of water 4. Must demonstrate a mature attitude Bring to class: Swim suit, towel, pen, notebook, food, water bottle, warm clothes, verification of age, StarGaurd textbbok and proof of completion of online

Teens On the Trail- Hoyt Arboretum


12-18yrs: Spring is finally here! Jump off the sofa, grab your hiking shoes and join the teen team for a beautiful 6 mile hike through one of Portlands most beautiful parks. Make sure you bring your camera, you will not want to miss out on these photo opportunites. Hikers will need to bring a lunch, water bottle, snacks and a backpack to carry everything in. Jr. GRUNT
8th Grade & Summer after 8th Grade: Outdoor adventures, stewardship and job skills for people interested in nature and wildlife! Our Spring Break program includes ropes courses, hiking, sledding and wildlife studies. Our 4 week summer program includes: hiking, rafting, stand-up paddle boarding, volunteering, career & college visits, environmental science and lots of outdoor fun! Youth Conservation Crew (YCC)


14 18 yrs: Paid summer work on one of the following crews: Tree Crew, No Ivy League, Trails Crew or Teen Naturalist Team. YCC is designed to provide work opportunities for youth, involve young people in the enhancement of natural areas and the urban forest, and to teach environmental literacy. For outdoor & overnight trips, participants must bring a permission slip, which can be found at: www.portlandonline.com/parks/eeteens .Parents or guardians can arrive 15 minutes early to fill one out at the community center. Refund deadline for all trips is 5 business days.
