table to research. When was it discovered? How did the element get its
name? What are its properties? What are its uses? Is the element
found in any common materials? How is it obtained? Report your
findings in the form of a story written from the element’s point of view.

You are to choose an element of your choice. You will be creating an
advertisement for your element. Commercials should be creative and
interesting. This may also be done as an info-mercial. You may work
with one other group member for this project. Be sure to include the
element’s name, symbol, atomic number, cost and brief historical
background and why this element is important. Also needed is an
advertising slogan and logo. Advertisements must be neat and
organized. Your group will have 1-2 minutes to present this to the
class at the end of the assignment due date.

ELEMENTAL COMIC STRIP ___/15 points


Create a comic strip about the discovery of your element. Your comic
strip must include:
Name of the element, symbol, who discovered the element, date
discovered, and physical and chemical properties. Be creative with the
pictures and storyline!
