Once you step on a Disney Channel Auditions stage, your every move is closely scrutinized. Every aspect of your body language, choice of words, gestures and actions is thoroughly analyzed. The way you behave from the moment you step onto the stage to the moment you leave is what determines whether or not you get the part. n order to increase your chances, you have to behave as follows! Maintain Eye Contact "ou#ve probably heard this over and over again. $ut this is one thing about human beings which never changes! eye contact communicates honesty, sincerity and confidence. %eople generally find it difficult to trust someone who &eeps avoiding eye contact. Therefore, when you step onto the stage, try to maintain as much eye contact with the audition 'udges as possible. f there is more than one 'udge, then you loo& into the eyes of whoever is spea&ing. Also, when you are answering a (uestion, maintain eye contact with the person who as&ed the (uestion. Speak Audibly

"ou have to ma&e sure that the casting director or audition 'udges understand everything that you say. As such, you should spea& audibly enough for them to hear you clearly. Don#t 'ust stand there mumbling to yourself. f there is a microphone, then spea& into it. f there is no microphone, then raise your voice or move closer to the audition 'udges. Don#t ma&e any word you spea& remain unheard. The same applies to your performance) ma&e sure that any monologue you perform is heard by the 'udges to the minutest detail. Stay On Point "ou should ensure that every word you spea& is relevant to the audition at hand. Also select your words carefully, and let your answers be short, precise and to the point. Avoid long, boring e*planations, narratives or e*positions. Also, avoid spea&ing about irrelevant personal details. Do not spend 2 minutes on stage ma&ing preparations for a 2/ to 0/ second representation. Dont Start Over 1ometimes, due to nervousness, you find yourself ma&ing a huge mista&e in your presentation. n such a case, the smartest thing is to continue. mprovise, create on the spot, be e*tempore, but under no means should you as& to start over. 3hen you re(uest to start over, you greatly decrease your chances of being well graded. Also, when you start over, you become afraid to ma&e another mista&e, and you almost always screw up even worse. $esides, in most cases, the audition 'udges do not &now the details of your act, and even if they &now, they will most li&ely be impressed by your improvisation s&ills if you pull off a superb presentation after initially screwing up.
