II. Work Report II.1 From 08h00 to 12h00 Study/Perform: Protection of FLX 00! 1.

"u#tip#e$ Section Protection %"SP& The MSP mechanism is employed for optical interfaces as an option. In the event of a failure of a working optical signal, the FL !""# can automatically select the payload from the protection signal, there$y restoring the transmission link. The FL !""# use %&% non'revertive protection switch for MSP mechanism. (oth unidirectional and $idirectional switching are availa$le. In $edirection switching, the switching of the receving signal is made at $oth receiving ends of the transmission link, while only one end switching is made in unidirectional. The MSP switch modes supported $y the FL !""# are listed $elow in descending. ' ' ' ' Lockout Force #uto'SF)auto'S* Manual

Lockout mode is used for line maintenance, in this mode , the transmission cannot $e switched from the working line to the protection line regardless of the line state. Force mode is also used for line maintenance, this mode is used $y maintenance personel to forci$ly switch the transmission from the current line to the line currently not used regardless of the line state. #uto + signal failure ,SF- or auto + signal degrade ,S*- mode is used to relieve the transmission line when the current line fails. Manual mode is used for line maintenance, in this mode, the transmission can $e switched from the line currently used to the other line $y an instruction from maintenance personnel. If a failure occurs after the line has $een switches in this mode, the swithing is canceled.

2. '( P)th Protection %S*( Protection& For Protecting ./ path in a ring network, FL support the su$'network connection ,S0/- Protection. It automatically swithes the transmission from working path to the protection path at a ./ ,vc'1, vc '2 or vc'%3level.
