You must teach what is appropriate to sound doctrine. ...Teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live, not to be slanderers or addicted to much wine, but to teach what is good. Then they can urge the younger women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God.

Denise White Richardson was reared in Birmingham, Alabama in a Christian family. She attended Mountain Brook High School, graduated Magna Cum Laude from Samford University, and was awarded a Rotary International Scholarship for graduate study, which she used at the University of Ireland in Cork. In 1979, she returned to teach high school at Briarwood Christian School and to complete her master's degree in history from Auburn University. In 1982, she married Dr. Guy Lipscomb Richardson. His work with Christian Counseling took them to Augusta, Georgia, and later to Montgomery, Alabama. During those years, Guys ordination in the P.C.A. led the way to Newark, Delaware, where for 3 years he served as the Interim Senior Pastor for Evangelical Presbyterian Church. He is currently serving as President of Reformed Theological Seminary, Jackson Campus. God has graciously given Denise opportunities both to teach and disciple women. She has taught various Bible studies, and found great satisfaction in nurturing and encouraging women of all ages. During her 14 years in Jackson, Denise has used her seminary connection to disciple student wives, while also encouraging faculty wives through their monthly gatherings. Denise has worked with the Women in Ministry on the Campus, and currently is the Faculty Advisor for the Women in Ministry Council. She has spoken for numerous womens retreats and meetings through the years, and has led discipleship groups for wives of medical students and residents. Denise and her husband are asked to speak at numerous marriage and family conferences each year (and were much enjoyed at the Young Married Fellowship in 2012). Her realistic approach, coupled with her childrearing experiences and insights to practical, godly living, provide much encouragement. Denise will be speaking to us on living as a Biblical woman, whatever our age or stage in life may be.

Refunds can be obtained if requested prior to March 21; after March 21 refunds cannot be obtained unless the attendee spot can be lled. We are coordinating carpools! Please contact Paige Siewert if you would like to drive or ride! Please make a point to personally invite another woman from Midway to attend with you! This is the perfect opportunity to become friends with someone you don't know, or to encourage a new member. It's a great time for mommies to get away without being gone long, & the ties that bind us this weekend will last a lifetime!

Conference Registration is $60 per person, PLUS selected hotel room rate. Conference registration includes three meals, sessions, craft, welcome gift, fun and fellowship! Hotel rates are based on single (1 person, 1 bed), double (2 people, 2 beds) or quad (4 people, 2 beds). All pricing is based per person. For example, Quad Pricing will be $60 plus $30 = $90 PER PERSON.
