PROTECCIN DE FALLA DE
INTERRUPTOR
Es una proteccin de respaldo local que abre los interruptores adyacentes apara eliminar una falla cuando la proteccin primaria mando disparo del interruptor y este no abre, por cualquiera de los siguientes motivos: a) Perdida de voltaje de control b) Falla de los equipos asociados de control c) Falla del mecanismo del interruptor

Disparo Permisivo Transferido de Bajo Alcance. Su finalidad es enviar seal de operacin al otro extremo, al garantizar que la falla esta dentro de la Lnea protegida, S y Solo S ,la Zona 1 de un extremo esta operada y la Zona 1 o 2 del otro extremo esta activada . Tambin se le conoce como Aceleracin de Zona 2 (TX1).

ESQUEMA PUTT
Ventajas: Facilita disparos rpidos en ambos extremos, ya que acelera el

disparo en el extremo que se detecta la falla en zona 2.


El esquema es seguro. Desventajas: Requiere llavear el canal cuando un interruptor esta abierto Se requiere traslapar las zonas de alcance Puede no disparar con fallas al final de la lnea No facilita disparos rpidos cuando el canal esta fuera

POTT:
Esquema POTT Ventajas: Facilita disparos rpidos en ambos extremos, ya que se activan las

zonas 2. El esquema es seguro, ya que solo opera para fallas dentro de la lnea.
Desventajas: Requiere llavear el canal cuando un interruptor esta abierto

Requiere que se activen las zonas 2 de ambos relevadores y depende de varios equipos. En lneas paralelas puede sacar disparos incorrectos, por el efecto de cambio de direccin de las corrientes (inversion de corrientes). No funciona cuando el canal esta fuera

Disparo Transferido Directo. Su finalidad es enviar seal de Disparo Directo al otro extremo cuando uno de los Dos esquemas opera para fallas entre fase, es decir, el envi de la seal de cualquiera de los extremos garantiza la apertura de los interruptores en el otro extremo de la Lnea protegida. ( TX2 ) Este esquema es activado por la operacin de los relevadores de Distancia cuando operan de manera tripolar (Z2, Z3, fallas bifsicas y traficas), operacin del 67N, 87B, 50FI.

RS-232 Interrogation Ports


The GARD 8000 Single Function PLC unit provides two RS232 Ports, located on the front and rear of the chassis. The front RS-232 port has priority and is configured as a DCE interface. The rear RS-232 port is configured as a DTE interface. RS-232 Interrogation Ports Data Rates 300 bps, 1200 bps, 2400 bps, 9600 bps or 19.2 Kbps. Communication Parameters: Number of Data Bits: Eight Number of Stop Bits: One Parity: None Flow Control: XON/XOFF

Equipos que requieren voltaje externo


Para la conexin de voltajes externos se debe considerar la configuracin del equipo de Tele proteccin para los umbrales de voltaje en la operacin de disparos a la transmisin; cada modelo de equipo de Tele proteccin indica cuales son sus umbrales. Para equipos de Tele proteccin con rels de estado slido. Cuando se tengan equipos de Tele proteccin con stos componentes, se debe tomar en cuenta la polaridad de las conexiones, considerando que los rels de estado slido operan con polaridad; si se hacen conexiones errneas el rel no se daa, pero no trabaja. The first step is to connect a standard Cat 5 Patch Cable from the RJ-45 Ethernet port on your PC to the front RJ-45 Ethernet port on the GARD 8000. Then configure the IP address of your PC as follows: 1. From your PC desktop, click Start, click Run, type ncpa.cpl, and then click OK (ncpa cpl not available in Windows 98. 2. A Network and Dial Up Connection window will appear. 3. Right click on the connection you would like to use (local area connection) to connect to the GARD 8000, and choose Properties from the pull-down menu.

4. Scroll up/down until you can see the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) protocol Ensure that the checkbox next to it is checked. Then highlight it and click on Properties. 5. A window similar to the one shown below Note: If you do not see the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) protocol listed you have to install TCP/IP on your PC. This is beyond the scope of this document. See your network administrator for assistance.

6. Note the radio button selected and the IP address, Sub mask and Default gateway if used prior to making any changes. 7. Select Use the following IP address, and type in the IP address 192.168.1.10 and subnet mask 255.255.255.0 as shown below.

8. Click on OK, and then click on the next OK button. 9. You have now successfully changed the IP address of your PC. 10. You will have to restart your computer for settings to take affect.

Administrator Login has the following administrator privileges:


Rear port TCP/IP address assignments Adding and removing users o Assigning access levels to users o Enabling and Disabling users-This feature is practical when performing local operations and other users temporarily should not be allowed access to the unit. The user ID and users password remain valid, and access is simply restored by enable.

NOTE: There is no backdoor for the Admin password. The default password is Admin but when changed, the actual password has to be used. Please contact the factory for password recovery procedure!!!!!

Level 1, Read-only Level 2, Read-only, Test Functions Level 3, Test, Set, Configurations Level 4, Administrator Operations only. The default user Admin is always a Level 4. Each user is individually password protected. Strong passwords with up to 16 characters may be used. Access levels can be configured separately for each port. For instance, the rear port can be set to allow read-only while the front port can allow setting changes.

Authentication A list of approved IP addresses can be configured for remote access. Unused Ports All unused ports in GARD 8000 are closed. Firewalls and encryption GARD 8000 does not provide any firewall or encryption. Security should be considered on the network level.
