Double Anchored and Pretensioned Ball Screws Centralized / Swivel Control Panel
Coolant System
The X and Y-axis ball screws of V50D series are located at the center of ways. They are double anchored (secured on both ends by high-precise angular contact thrust bearings) and pretensioned, this design provides outstanding positioning repeatability with minimal thermal growth. In the event of a sudden impact, a flexible coupling on each axis, flexes and absorbs the shock.
The 24 station automatic tool changer accepts 40 taper tooling. The reliable double-arm system with next tool in stand-by position provides a 2.1 second tool to tool and 4.5 second chip to chip times. The tool selection is random, bidirectional and automatically takes the shortest path for the next tool call.
The automatic 180 degree indexing pallet is an integral part of the Hi-V50D series. The table mechanism is mounted directly to the bed of the machine on a horizontal plane to enhance table rigidity. As the table is stationary during machining, the non-cutting side of the table can be used to set-up the next job or load / unload the next piece, while the present piece is being machined. The maximum weight per a pallet side is 350kg. (772lbs.). As an added feature, rotary table cables and work holding hoses can be run down along the sheet metal wall.
