What is the zoo

The zoo is a place where you can find different kind of wild animals. This animals live in a limited place, but contains the similar characteristics of them natural habitat where the animals live. In the zoo many people can enjoy the animals of different part of the world and also appreciate the wonder of the nature. And the Cali zoo is not the exception, because there you can see a big variety of animals and learn about the important to take care of them. Finally, there you can know about the different Indians cultures in Colombia and how they coexist with the biodiversity in our country.

MAMMALS
The mammals are amazing, we see a lot of this kind of animal, like: primates, bears, tiger, etc. They are very similar to us. We see that the tiger had baby and she was very cute, because we see how played with her sons, she is amazing mother.. The otters are amazing swimmers, they played all the day, it was very funny

BIRDS
The cage of the bird is so big that we can walk inside. Outside we saw some amazing big birds like condors and eagles, but, we think that his cage was too small for this birds, they cant fly in this space so, we feel very sad for this birds The most amazing birds are the ostriches, they are very big and fast and has a very strong paws, the ostriches are the biggest birds of the world

REPTILES
The zoo has a lot of kind of reptiles, it has crocodiles turtles, snake, etc. Something that was surprising was the size of the crocodile, he averaging almost 3 meters. The anaconda is the biggest snake of the world ,was so large that we didn't find her tail, we thing that she can eat us easily if she want

AMPHIBIANS
We didn't find a lot kind of amphibians, the zoo has a salamanders and frogs, no more, but it has many kind of frog, and are one of more dangerous animal of the world for his venom, the problem with this frogs are that have amazing colors, and are very attractive for the people, but if you touch them you will die

FISH
The first that we see when we walk inside the zoo was the fishes, a many different kind of them, but not was big, so we finished with the fishes very fast

INSECTS

The zoo don't has many insects in reality only has butterflies. Her cage is beautiful because you walk inside and see all the different butterflies flying above of the head

EVENTS
CHILDREN'S PARTIES The Cali zoo offers different ways of entertainment above all to the children for example in the zoo a child can have a great birthday with his friends learning about the animals and have an unforgettable experience. NIGHT CAMPS the Cali zoo does night camps for groups of 15 children like minimum, this is an experience where the kids can enjoy the night secrets of the zoo. MYTHS AND LEGENDS Each Saturday of October everybody can to learn about the myths and legends of our country. You can see presentations and listen very interesting and exciting stories. SUMMER COURSES In the months of June, July and August, children ages 4 to 12 can enjoy the zoo vacations a program full of adventure and fun. The zoo has two restaurants one is most elegant and more smaller than the other one, the big one is like the central cafeteria of the university, it is big and with many kind .of small restaurants.. For people this one is more attractive, because is cheaper

EXPERIENCE

Going to the zoo was an amazing experience, because you can see the big variety of animals in our country and also in the world. It is nice to learn new things about animals and have more awareness about the important of take care our planet . Also there you realize that humans have to do something to preserve our biodiversity, because that permit our existence. Finally, this a place that teach you to value all the richness of the nature of our earth.
