Intended Specialization
Marketing Marketing Communications Marketing marketing mgtf Finance Operations

Please mention any adversity faced in your life and how you handled it
sad Raising funds for upcoming projects in the committee. The members of the committee have become dependent on seniors and have been in the mindset of following orders from senior members. It was time for the team to get out of this mindset and start working independently as the seniors would be leaving in the next 2 months. Took initiative of planning the activities of the committee. But this is not enough. Planning can be done by anyone. The problem is with implementation. 80% of works are always left in the stage of ideation. Did not want this to happen to our committee. Took the initiative and started 1st fund raising event - Raised a fund of 7000 through the event - Took sole responsibility of the event and gave my 100% Handled all tasks and finally as expected, now there are some members working along with me in execution of the event. Started as a lone man and ended up achieving the purpose - Though raised only a small amount - Motivated the team for better work. This is just one

situation in my 7953 days of fight with life. Got Hit BUT continuing my journey - COZ I won't give up. Recently, in one competition, we (me and 5 other teammates) had to present on the concept of a political party which will take India forward. In the final round of presentation, the opposite team's presentation was too good. Even though, we had content, our presentation went so-so. We needed something exceptional and unexpected and I was on the stage as a presenter. When I came to the last part, my glance went towards our opponent team and I called one of their best presenters on stage and asked him to explain the last part for our audience (for the competition they were India's 'aam janta') saying that he is obviously better presenter than us and so he should do it for the people and he presented the part beautifully with a pride on his face. Then, I told audience that it was a great presentation and if he gets a better content then, that guy can present better and so we (our party) will be his content and we will nominate him as a spokesperson for us saying that he completes our shortcoming and with him we can make India's 'janta' in a better way. He obviously rejected but audience got the message and the way it was tackled, judges loved it and we won first prize. One of my greatest achievement was delivering my first major project with TCS. I was in charge of setting up disaster recovery (DR) project for 3 GE HR application. Me being part of application team had to make some code changes for the new environment that was the only coding part, rest all was coordination with clients and vendors to set up the actual environment. There was daily interaction with application manager and functional owner from client side, where I had to explain, design and make them understand the whole project plan. I also got an opportunity to present my case to GE CIO. I also had to get work done from vendors which were from rival IT companies, this was a big challenge. After months of hard work and daily job challenges I successfully completed the project. I got the Star of the Month award from TCS, Operation Excellence award from GE and also an appreciation mail from GE CIO. This project was one of the trigger points which made me the offshore module lead after few months of its delivery. I have faced quite a few adversities in my life but one of the major one was when I met with a bike accident on 18th April 2013, having 8 of my bones fractured and with 5 broken teeth I was to appear for my final semester Engineering vivas and written exams starting from 20th April'13 Even the thought of me going for exams was making my Doctor's go crazy as i could barely move but i could not afford to waste my hard work of last 7 sems and thus gathered all my strengths to give all the exams, my good relations with my faculty members came handy in vivas and I was always good with my basics with some quick learning and implementation skills, i was able to not only pass the exam but secure Distinction in the final Semester. There are many to list down but my family recently went through an Ill-Health scenario and I was working in Pune...Had to balance my work and personal life in Mumbai but managed it somehow by syncing in work and visits to house... When I was in 2nd MBBS during my final examinations I acquired Dengue and was hospitalised for the same. I was in a dilemma whether to sit for exams or

not (which would mean losing a year). Taking all the medical precautions and with an intravenous line in situ I wrote the exams and fortunately scored first class in my examinations. Several projects coming together at once and the prrssure of completing everything within the limited timespan and i gave my best and conpleted them on time. I had contracted dengue during second year of my graduation and I was not keeping good health since then for more than a year which affected my studies adversely. I to the best of my efforts tried to catch up for this in the final year and did score good but it fell little short to put me in the first division level. One of the difficult situations i faced was with my committee, had certain issues with other committee members and was feeling like left over, so decided to leave the committee, according to me one should do what he feels like doing. In standard sixth I was sent to boarding school not because of my academics but because I had to change schools in every year or two. It was because my dad used have transfers as he is a government employee. It was very hard for me to adjust myself in the first week as I was introvert. But then I started making more and more friends and changed my behavior from introvert to extrovert. Since then I have been living in hostel. I am a fighter. I have a stammering problem. I fight with this problem every single second. Earlier I used to think that it is a bane for me but now it proved to be a boon for me. I have faced many adverse situation in my life and I rise up by facing all these adverse situation that were enough to pull down my morale and confidence. I handled this adversity by applying a blend of SQ and EQ in my life. I read Bhagwad Gita and it really helped me a lot. I learned a lot of things from it and I am applying all these in my life and giving outstanding results. Bhagwad Gita made me more stable spiritually and emotionally that arises a sense of desire, zeal, passion, satisfaction & confidence in myself. Today, No matter what situation come, I have learn to use my mind as a tool for innovation and to derive bottom line results.

How will you market ForeVision at your Campus

For marketing fore vision use of social site like Facebook where everyone is present . Mailing to the official group of the batch. Putting up posters so that an initial Buzz is created . One on one marketing and telling people about the benefits of the company if any. Messaging on whatsapp group to create awareness Making people aware about it by placing hoarding boards distributing pamlets; making announcements regarding what tht whole program is about. By campaigning in the college and giving cool titles to the campaigns like fake blood campaign, etc. Being a part of student council , I have a strong connection with students and faculty members , this connection which I am already having ,can be used to achieve the mission statement of fore vision. We already have google groups and Facebook and watsapp groups which I can use to promote Fore vision. I can encourage students to take part in focus group discussions where I can talk about Forevision and encourage them to join in Having experience of 2 years in cooperate world I can connect well with people form industry. Also can help in setting up guest lecture if required Since forevision aims at enhancing the skills and knowledge of

the students, all the services and their benefits should be conveyed to the students so that they are interested in them. Also interactive sessions and guest lectures would help. Marketing isn't tied to a price tag. It's defined only by putting the right message in front of the right person at the right time. The initial step would be to make the students aware of ForeVision across the campus (including engineering and other courses)and make them realize the need of building competencies to survive in the organizational environment. 1. The various benefits of involving with ForeVision can be highlighted like increased productivity, interactivity, flexibility and overall personal growth and enrichment. This can be done through posters, brochures etc. 2.Involving teachers will also help to support the promotions to build a sense of confidence in the company. 3. Small seminars can be held to involve students in practical activities so as to realize the importance and advantage of ForeVision. 4.Instead of creating business cards the company can create cards that the reciepients would actually use. Example a good-looking notepad with the contact info of ForeVision and tagline on every page so as to create an impression. Every product goes well with experience and word-of-mouth publicity. Organizing a workshop for students (engineering & management) according to situation; for example - organizing a workshop helping in placement training during placement season; skill-based workshops during the rest of the year, will create viable word-of-mouth publicity and good name for the products (considering workshops grab the interest of majority of crowd). Also, providing certificates is an important factor, considering the fact that the crowd is building CVs and it wants as many certificates as possible. After purchase, competitions based on the product will create buzz and interest. Tying up with a student committee and marketing the product through the community can prove to be influential. Any video links to previous sessions can be made available to the students as well as displayed on a weekly basis in all classes by the representatives of the committee in that class. These tactics can help in branding and marketing in an effective manner offline. Online marketing of the product can be done through Twitter campaigns during pre-placement season and FB publicity through various study materials and contests. Also, FB group admins can be influenced to promote content of the company. This requires a dedicated SMO working for the product, who can also mail to potential customers along with the social media marketing. I have good interaction with students at SIMSR so I can spread the message through word of mouth. I am also very active on social media. I enjoy promoting things online using mails and Facebook. Also being the member of Admissions Committee of SIMSR, I am in constant touch with the aspirants and have very good networking with the upcoming batch. All these things will help me maximize the reach between ForeVision and students of SIMSR and help benefit them by your events and activities. adsa I will make my colleague students understand the importance of having a properanalytical thinking in consulting, which establishes why training is important to a great extent. Using social media and maybe some test to check which skills they are not up the scale and then provide them the solution that is

our products. Simply interacting with students about Forevision and talking to them about the product's feature can get this done... 1. College Press Releases- There are various committees working in college, we can advertise Forevision by using this. 2. Campus Posters- Traditional posters, fliers, campus events, transportation systems, park benches and table tents can be placed in high-traffic areas around campus. 3. Outdoor advertising on campus offers will attract high- traffic. 4. Transit AdvertisingAs students move from one point to other all day we can reach them on the way to class, lunch, or home. We offer transit shelters and campus shuttle advertising on top colleges all over the country. 5. Social Media Contests will attract social media-savvy students, updating one's cover photo, running weekly caption contests, Also Facebook/Twitter/Linkedin Advertising 6. Discounts & Alternatives- A little discount with proper alternatives will attract students. 7. Pizza Box Advertising- Tap into the delivery area of locally owned pizza shops around campus. 8. Campus Coffee Shops Advertising as Coffee shops are a great place to reach students all hours of the day. 9. Email Advertising- Send an email to all Engineering,MBA , arts and Commerce groups. 10.Mobile Marketing- Text alerts There are different ways to Market Fore Vision at our Campus: 1. Word of Mouth Publicity: I can spread the news about the working of the company and its events in my friend circle and then ask them to carry the word. 2. Digital Marketing: As we have access to the mail groups of all the students in the college, we can use the social platform to market Fore Vision both via personal mails as well as Facebook groups. 3. Experience Sharing Session: We can arrange for such session by seniors students of our college who have earlier participated in Fore Vision events. 4. Posters and Billboards in popular areas like Canteens, elevators and other places where students usually gather for general timepass. 5. Using the college radio station to share the know hows of different activities of Fore Vision. 6. Attracting Students towards Fore Vision events by providing discounted entries. 1)Pin posters on the notice boards of my college 2)Make an image and set it as the background in the LCD screens of my college 3)Upload updates and newsletters(of ForeVision) on my college facebook group (to reach all the 180 students of my college) 4)Organise guest lecture (being a part of Corporate Relations Committee of my college) - where a representative of ForeVision would be addressing our batch 5)Organise simulation games and online tests to make students aware of the importance of skill development 6)Start interest group(of those interested in skill development) in my college 7)Ask our college faculty to convey to the students the importance of skill development Forevision has various products including Excel Module, Financial modeling module and Derivatives module for MBA students as well as Recruitment Solutions for both MBA as well as Engineering students. Excel module is helpful for every MBA student and Financial modeling module and Derivatives module are more important for Finance enthusiasts as well as those who want to work in Forecasting field. So, I will start by distributing a small survey/questionnaire over the college network which will ask about students' needs regarding these issues and then will follow it up with the

benefits of these programs and how these certifications/programs can complement/aid their MBA or CFA. The campus recruitment programs speaks for itself so a mailer can help. Plus, we can arrange a small workshop or lecture or presentation regarding it with the help of some committee (with PCOM - Placement Committee or Humanist - HR committee).

Why do you wish to take up this project

I would like to this project as this project brings in a challenge where I can contribute my ideas to improve bridge gap between student life and a professional life of a person. I believe I have the skill set for this job as I am people centric person who gets connected with people well and this project will help me use my current skill set Also this project will help me interact with various mentors from marketing field this will also help me sharpen my skill set such that I differentiate my self from others I wish to take up this project as I believe that this will provide me with an opportunity to enhance my leadership skills and will provide me with hands on experience in the field of Marketing. Being a fresher it would be of much more importance for me because i believe working for a "Start up" helps one to learn more then working for any other major MNC. I believe that my interpersonal skills make me a prime candidate for this position. During my time spent at SIMSR, I have noticed my growing interest in marketing and public relations. I enjoy brainstorming on innovative ideas that take into consideration demographics, target markets, advertising strategies. I am confident that I would make a significant contribution to the continued success of your company and will use this opportunity to grow and further develop my marketing skill set. To explore myself in event management and gain more experince in managing events. Hands-on experience on real time business issues.I can market your products/services in our college successfully. It would be a very good opportunity for me to socialize with students of other colleges and grow my network. It would also enhance my leadership and marketing skills. I would like to work on various channels for marketing and this project would help me to do so, creating a differentiation and making them agree to take in extra skills to various people would be a great challenge and i would like to take it. It would be a good learning experience for me to get associated with ForeVision and use my skills and network to promote your brand and also help in benefiting the students at SIMSR. dasdas 1)To enhance my leadership, marketing and selling and negotiation skills (which are very important for a marketing student like me) 2)First hand experience of marketing and strategising 3)Opportunity to interact with other campus achievers 4)Flexible working hours 5)Opportunity to earn while I am still studying First and foremost, it adds to my resume. Then, it also gives me practical experience to do the marketing (which I need as I want to be entrepreneur in future and practical knowledge in marketing will be needed - here is my opportunity to gain it) and partially, building a brand Forevision. Also, it gives me opportunity to get insights on Forevision products as I am interested in them. And it gives me opportunity to earn something while learning and getting exposure at the same time. I wish to

take this project because I really liked the work allocated. Plus I being the General Secretary for the college have a good network with my batchmates. It will be a suitable environment for me to learn, apply and monitor the results as I have to apply the same for my future start up. Also it will allow me to address critical challenges and build meaningful relationship. At this point in my academic pursuit, I am ready to get exposed to the working of the new concepts and apply innovative ideas to drive results. I want to be a part of your organization and want to apply what I've learned from my experience , so as to solve certain business level assignments and also form a long term relationship. I think that this project will test my skills in marketing, that is what made me take it up.This project gives me an opportunity to try marketing of a product and get hands-on experience on the field with an application of textbook knowledge. I think I can strategize marketing techniques and if selected, this will be a platform to showcase and prove my skills giving my 100% to the project. This project would enable me to enhance my knowledge and learning about the consulting world. I wish to opt for marketing specialisation in the future and this concurrent project would surely increase my understanding about the field.

Prior experience in organizing any events/activities (e.g any creative ideas for networking)
I have a rich experience in this field as i was always associated with my college publicity and sponsorship team. Our group used small events to publicise our college festivals across the city. I will share a few experiences:- 1. When I was in 3rd year of my Engineering we conducted an event across other Engineering campuses where in we gave them the list of all the events which were to take place in our college festival and memorise it and repeat it without missing a single event and entry prizes, though the tasked seemed easier it took around 35 candidates and 4 hours for someone to get it right and we gave him a free pass to our college festival but by all other 34 candidates our festival was published for free and so it was a win win deal. 2. On similar roads as previous, we arranged for a poster making competition on our college festival theme & name and then used all the posters for publicity purposes and awarding only the winner. 3. Phone Tree: Here we appointed some co-ordinators to work under us and maintain a pool of people under their reach, so as and when we have to reschedule or arrange for something the communication part was well taken care of.
