Tewari, Brief Holder on behalf of the State. By means of this petition the petitioner has sought the following relief:(I) To issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent Nos.2 and 3 to register the petitioner as Vaidya/Hakim. (II) To issue any other direction or order as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper under the circumstances of the case. (III) Award costs of the writ petition to the petitioner. According to petitioner he has passed the Ayurvedratna Examination and obtained the degree of Aryurvedratna from Hindi Sahitya Sammellan Allahabad. The counterparts possessing the similar degree in the State of Uttar Pradesh have been registered by Bhartiya Chikitsa Parishad U.P. and have been pursuing their practice in the State of Uttarakhand also. The State of Uttarakhand has adopted the same rules and regulations of Indian Medicine Act as adopted by State of U.P., therefore, the petitioners are entitled for the registration in the State of Uttarakhand. During the course of argument, learned counsel appearing on behalf of petitioner has submitted that the application of the petitioner for registration is pending before the respondent No.3/Registrar, Bhartiya Chikitsa Parishad, Dehradun (Annexure No.2 to the writ petition) but no decision has yet been taken on the said application. Therefore, direction be given to Registrar, Bhartiya Chikitsa 2 Parishad, Dehradun to take decision on the application of the petitioner expeditiously as far as possible. Prayer made is innocuous. The respondent No.3/ Registrar, Bhartiya Chikitsa Parishad, Dehradun, is directed to take decision on the application of the petitioner, in accordance with law, expeditiously as far as possible, preferably, within a period of eight weeks, from the date of production of certified copy of this order.
