HOLY COMMUNION DURING LENT

We stand to sing a HYMN THE GREETING Grace, mercy and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ be with you and also with you As we prepare ourselves, we ask for Gods FORGIVENESS Compassion and forgiveness belong to the Lord our God though we have rebelled against him. Let us then renounce our wilfulness and ask his mercy by confessing our sins in penitence and faith. CONFESSION Lord God, we have sinned against you; we have done evil in your sight. We are sorry and repent. Have mercy on us according to your love. Wash away our wrongdoing and cleanse us from our sin. Renew a right spirit within us and restore us to the joy of your salvation, through Jesus Christ our Lord. We receive Gods forgiveness May the God of all healing and forgiveness draw you to himself, and cleanse you from all your sins that we may behold the glory of his Son, the Word made Flesh, Jesus Christ our Lord. We stand for the CREED I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried; he descended to the dead. On the third day he rose again; he ascended into heaven, he is seated at the right hand of the Father, and he will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen. We stand to share THE PEACE Since we are justified by faith we have peace with God through Lord Jesus Christ who has given us access to his grace. The peace of the Lord be always with you and also with you Let us offer one another a sign of peace. We remain standing to sing a HYMN during which the Collection is taken and the bread and wine brought to the altar. God of our journey, as we walk with you on your path of obedience, sustain us on our way and lead us to your glory Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory for ever and ever. Amen.

BREAKING THE BREAD Every time we eat this bread and drink this cup, We proclaim the Lords death until he comes. PRAYER AFTER COMMUNION THE BLESSING God, who from the death of sin raised you to new life in Christ, keep you from falling and set you in the presence of his glory; and the blessing of God almighty, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, be among you and remain with you always.
