Responsibilities and achievements:


• Provided administrative support to a front-line team of social
workers involved in the safeguarding of vulnerable children.
• Adapted to a fast-paced and pressurized environment, where
timescales were critical and efficiency essential.
• Implemented obligatory changes to the presentation of data
within my team that facilitated more open and holistic
communication channels.

Responsibilities and achievements


• Gained a concise understanding of account handling.
• Assisted in statistical analysis of online campaigns as well as
preparation of new briefs and attended client meetings.
• Conducted a review of agency websites, which was of great use to
them when updating their own site and establishing a unique
position amongst their competitors.

Responsibilities and achievements:
• Produced promotional material to publicise activities and events
for employees of Rolls-Royce Plc and the general public. I
arranged for them to appear in the local press and converted
them into PowerPoint slides.
• Modernised their data records by introducing a new database of
members, from which regular mail-outs could be conducted.
• I was asked to continue producing material after returning to
university, submitting designs via email.

Jul – Sept 2006 TEFL Teacher, Aston School, Xi’an, China.

Responsibilities and achievements:


• Taught English course to classes of up to 18 children of various
abilities aged between 10 and 15.
• Planned and presented four two-hour lessons a day according to a
syllabus,
• Conducted examinations and produced reports.
• Ran weekly help-sessions and a DVD class outside of school
hours.
• Developed communication skills in order to explain important
concepts clearly and from multiple angles in a way that
encouraged my students’ learning. I was able to adapt the course
of my lessons where necessary and respond to students’ leaning
needs.
• As a result of my work, all of my students passed their final exams
and the school’s management asked me to extend my contract.

Sage Accountancy software.

I.T. SKILLS I have an excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word/Works, PowerPoint,


Excel, Outlook and Access. I have recently completed training for
Agresso accounting software. I am also confident in using Adobe
Photoshop and Elements, and have a typing speed of 50+ wpm.

INTERESTS

• Travel & Fundraising: In July and August 2009, I took part in the Mongol Rally - an
annual charity event where participants drive 10,000 miles between London and
Mongolia in an unreliable 1 litre car. In doing so I raised over £1000 for the Christina
Noble Children’s Foundation.

• Sports: I have competed in the Silverstone half marathon, the Great North Run and
the Hell Runner endurance race over recent years. I am also a four-time survivor of
the annual 'Tough Guy' Iron Man competition in Wolverhampton.

• Culture: I am currently a member of the Tate Galleries, enjoy exploring London’s


modern and contemporary art world and am a keen photographer.
