Module 1 Changes
Page 30: Change XenDesktop Components in the graphic to Provisioning Services Components. Page 45 Discussion Question: Citrix Studio can also be installed on Windows 7 and Windows 8 operating systems. Page 46: Change CXD-500 to CXD-400.

Module 3 Changes
Page 106 Step 22: The hyperlink to the DNS configuration best practices article does not work because the document
is no longer available on the site.

Page 123 Discussion Question: The hyperlink for more information about DHCP failover is incorrect and should refer
you to the http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn338978.aspx article.

Page 199 Step 9 Instructor Note: Ensure that students do not enter a hostname during this step. Doing so will result in
the following error during the NetScaler configuration: Uploader failed to start. Try install ing, reinstalling, upgrading, or enabling Flash if this error continues. (Init error.)

Page 206 Step 40 Instructor Note: If a student is unable to join StoreFrontServer-2 to the server group:
1. Create a wildcard certificate. 2. Import the same certificate to both StoreFrontServer-1 and StoreFrontServer-2. 3. Retry the Join existing server group task.

Module 7 Changes
Page 295: Change 53322 to 54322. Page 327 Discussion Question: XenConvert is no longer a stand-alone utility. Instead, it is included in the P2PVS
utility on the Provisioning Services installation media. P2PVS is used to run the Imaging wizard. The XenConvert utility can be downloaded from the Citrix XenServer product downloads page, but is not explicitly supported for use with Provisioning Services 7 or later.

Module 9 Changes
Known Issue: NetScaler 10.1 Build 118 will not work with the Configure NetScaler Gateway for Enterprise Store
wizard. If you use the Configure NetScaler Gateway for Enterprise Store wizard, the wizard will configure the NetScaler to use http instead of https even though you selected https. This is a known issue with Build 118. To avoid this issue, follow the instructions in the course manual. The exercises work correctly as written. Refer to www.citrix.com/edocs for information about bugs and fixes in NetScaler releases.

Page 382 Discussion Question: When is the default IP address of 192.168.100.1 /255.255.0.0 used to configure a
NetScaler? The default IP address of 192.168.100.1 / 255.255.0.0 is used to perform the initial configuration of a NetScaler MPX appliance. This default IP address is not used to configure a NetScaler VPX because an ns.conf file does not exist initially. In addition, the default IP address is not used configure a NetScaler SDX because an SDX appliance has two different IP addresses assigned to it.

Page 383 Discussion Question: The maximum number of concurrent end-user connections is 500 when 3DES is
used. Up to 1000 concurrent connections can be made when RC4 encryption is used. For more information about

Page 437 Reinforcement Exercise: A bug has been uncovered in the version of NetScaler implemented in the lab
environment. The scan will always fail in this version when searching for a text file. To demonstrate the functionality, you can ask students to search for the c:\windows\write.exe file, instead. Refer to the replacement pages for the scenario and solution that accompany this errata.

Appendix A Changes
Page 441: Add a new tip. Become familiar with the Additional Information page and the Job Aids page in the Student
Resource Kit. While this information is not used during the class, you should point out these resources out students.

Lab Environment
Policy and registry changes have been applied to the lab environment to improve the mouse responsiveness and
general performance when in Remote Desktop mode. These changes should be applied automatically when the student first starts the VM. If the mouse is still lagging in a VM, run gpupdate /force from a command prompt on the VM to force the application of the policy and then log on to the VM again to ensure that the registry changes are applied.
