Assault by person
Staff (people using the equipment and characters/actors) and other people around. Staff (i.e. me and crew members)
Put up signs saying that you are filming there and to be careful when walking past.
Lifting equipment
Make sure that you make it safe around you before lifting the equipment and lift properly by bending the knees and making sure that you are holding the piece of equipment properly before lifting in the first place. Place notes around the area saying that there are cables around and also place a piece of carpet down over the cables to make it extra safe for you, the actors and the people around as well. Place notes around saying that there is filming going on and to let the tutors around aware that the filming is going to happen at this certain date so that they can therefore let their groups know that the filming is happening to reduce the amount of intimidation. Make sure that you and the assistants that you have hired know what they have to do and when they have to do it.
