Clinic Explanation:
Percutaneous laser disc decompression (PLDD) is a type of surgery in which a laser probe is inserted into the intervertebral disc space and laser energy applied for achieving decompression and neuromodulation thereby relieving the pain. PLDD is a minimally invasive procedure that falls into the category of percutaneous intervertebral surgeries with the aim to significantly reduce the patients pain and recover neurological deficit.

Operation procedure:

Notice:
.The leg straightening test(LST) should be controlled before and immedialtely after PLDD .Patients should under observation for 2 h after PLDD .The patients advised to have complete bed rest for 24h .Patients avoid hyperkyphotic positions for two weeks .Patients may experience some pain due to heat sensation at the level of intervention that the doctor should subsides following cessation of the laser light .Patients should are given mannitol and antibiotic therapy for 3 days .The doctors should notice with the Carbide attached to the laser probe
