Example is in cooking. (feminine act but giving tips establishes a certain authority/mentor figure, besides the fact that the role model is the writers father) ; Dad is a bit of an OC. He would remind me n times to turn off unused lights around the house, put your slippers in proper place and make sure all the appliance around the house are plugged out whenever leaving. He would also check the two fridges if it is properly closed and double check all the locks in the house. Because of these, I learned to imitate those things and eventually do it. Thats what I like about people, leading by example. Dad is an all-around person in the house. Because he doesnt work anymore, he does house chores. I dont really remember anymore, theyre all just trophy boyfriends that you wish you had. Interesting statement that the writer is making here. Calling mean trophy boyfriends suggests that these men are like eye candy, easy on the eyes, something to look at/for display, something won, an accessory. The writer however ends the statement with you wish you had IDK how to interpret that but theres something here. ; She cannot be your average Jane. As the former head of the Ateneo arts guild, former amateur car mechanic, former pupil of karate, and current orthopedic surgeon, his damaged hands are testaments to the exc ellences he has acquired. His hair is thinning. Hes had way too many all-nighters to keep a good head of hair (or maybe its just genetics). Notable description: Right now, my mother stands both as a father and a mother for me and my brother. My father currently lives in Sydney, Australia and is working really hard to provide for our family. Here in Manila, not only does my mother work in an office from nine to five, but she also attends to our familys needs especially at home. She wakes up early to cook breakfast for us, she goes to her work, and even though shes already tired, she still manages to prepare dinner when she arrives at home. Notable description: He is very workaholic that I seldom find him at home. ; He is not that expressive with his feelings but I can feel his sincerity and dedication or taking care of our family. He is the person I want to be like in the future. Hes always doing overtime at his job so he arrives late at night. I usually would be asleep by then. We only bonded during holidays and weekends but those were memorable times for me. Notable description: Mr. Pagsi is somewhat of a legend in the Ateneo high school community. At 86 years old, he has been teaching for more than 50 years already, and he is the only faculty member to have taught in the old Ateneo campus in Padre Faura. He is also the moderator and director of the high schools top theater org, Dulaang Sibol. He used to teach English and Filipino to first year honor and semi-honor class students, but now, given his old age, he only teacher English t the honors class, 1-A. Others: Mr. Pagsis teaching style was very unorthodox. Our lessons revolved around the novels he made us get, most of which werent part of the curriculum of the rest of the batch. ; Mr. Pagsi truly and genuinely loved, and still loves what he is doing. Ateneo has a mandatory retirement age at 60, and yet there he is still going strong He is indeed a legend and an institution in the teaching community and I am sure that his legacy will live on. 60 Role Model: Andres Bonifacio Roles: Notable description: My role model is a person who is brave enough to give his all even his own life just to protect other people This person, for many, is also a good leader ad serves our country for many years just to get our own freedom For me, he is not just a role model, but also a hero, a national hero that we should think as an inspiration. ; the tough guy Others: Role models are important in our lives, he/she can act as our inspiration to what we want to do in the future, someone we idolize and look up to. Others: She remains strong for the people she loves even if she gets hurt; she fights her way through challenges and nothing keeps her down. Others: It was only during my second year that I got to know another wonderful part of her personality when she became our Values Education teacher. She went past the book and reflected her teachings. There would be 30 of us sitting silently as she relayed conversations with her only child and her cheating husband. She is an ordinary citizen with an extraordinary intelligence and wisdom. She lived in a very oppressive society, with a high gender inequality. She used her intelligence in the war, and eventually, she saved her country. I really admire her because even if her whole world or everyone around her doesnt believe in her capacity, she still does what she can do. Others: She is a woman, who destroyed the current image in their society that women are worthless. She is a very inspiring character because she showed courage and wisdom are better than physical strength. She proved that women are as important as men. She went beyond what (was) expected of her by the society. She is also a very unique female character, because unlike other female characters who just want to be rich and marry a prince, she showed that what she just wants is to help her society and family. She displayed courage and martyrdom rather than the typical ambitiousness and vanity. She is someone a lot of women and men would always admire regardless of country, gender, and race. / She may not be grounded in the Philippines, but her story is not just for China, but its for everyone in the world. Since she doesnt want to bother our parents because they are not as young as they used to be, and since our brother lives in Dumaguete now, she would always volunteer to drive me to places even if its out of her way. Id only gotten to know her better when she started telling me stories about her high school to college life. Apparently we had a lot of

One distinct difference was that she had endless suitors. I realized that my mother was human. I started seeing her in a different light. Others: During this time, there were recorded moments which gave the administration good and bad impacts. Some of the good developments were the establishment of the Local Government and Community Development, the creation of Metropolitan Authority (now MMDA), and the implementation of the 1973 Constitution. Hes rather common, if I may speak, with a face and voice one may hear from most teenage boys. Hes not exceptionally tall either, nor does he possess anything physically prominent for anyone to remember him instantly. His likes arent anything new to hear too he fancies what other boys of his age find interesting, down from playing computer games to listening to mainstream rock music. Ordinary almost fits him too well initially, at least. Thats the word that had stuck with me as my first impression of him. But of course, he didnt become my role model for no good reason, especially not for being ordinary. Thats what I realized when I got beyond the ordinary stage of his temperament and what I found was a precious discovery. He is, for starters, a passionate man. He always gets his focus into tasks and obligations deeply and even makes sure to put his heart into his actions. He is also very hardworking, and one can always expect him to do his duties to the best of his abilities. But, aside from that, she is also a UNICEF ambassador, showing her care and devoting her time to lend a hand to our less fortunate brothers and sisters. He also achieved greatness by improving the economy. Except we should also note that, and I am aware, he was corrupt and increased the gap between the rich and poor. 98 Role Model: father Roles: individual Notable description: Others: But some other exceptional individual has been a great influence to a young, budding woman like me my own father. ; he was the one responsible to make the ends meet for his huge family of 10 members. ; My father, who has stopped studying to serve his family, came back to school to finish accountancy after earning sufficient money. But his success didnt make him an arrogant person. Being a family-oriented individual, he came back to his roots and helped his poverty-stricken municipality and relatives. For the past years and until now, I have remained constantly amazed and empowered by the genuine kindness, sheer talent, and unfailing support he has given or shown me. ; My best friend respected me in all of who I am, and supported me in all I strive for, may it be about any nature or aspect of my life. In academics, his dedication in achieving well in his studies boosted me to do the same.
