Stryker Lady Panthers Hold Winter Sports Awards; 6 Scholar Athletes Named
expectations set prior to the start of the season, Coach Brown stated he was very pleased with the girls effort and professionalism throughout the season. Receiving first year letter awards this year were Audra Rupp, Gabby Paxton, and Megan Graber; Second year letter awardees this year were Maddie Uribes and Ashley Haines; third year letter awardee Christie Huston; and Conner Varner along with Connor Sullivan were honored for their fourth year of varsity action. This years Coachs Awards went to Conner Varner (Best Free Throw Percentage: 76.6%; Team Rebounding-203), and Connor Sullivan, who was named as the Top Defender. Varner, Sullivan and Huston were also recipients of this years Captain Award. Receiving BBC honors for the 2013-2014 season this year for the Lady Panthers were Conner Varner, named to the BBC 1st Team, along with teammates Christie Huston and Connor Sullivan, who were named to the BBC 2nd Team. Additionally, Varner was named to the District 7 1st Team, while Huston and Sullivan received District 7 2nd Team honors. Noteworthy mention for this years senior team members as noted by Coach Brown: 4 of the 5 seniors participated in three sports throughout their careers at Stryker High School.
