MURMLIREST & STARREST THE ALPS COOLEST RESTAURANTS FOR KIDS. Both restaurants are located at the Komperdell midway station, right next to the Kinderschneealm and are exclusively for kids participating in a Serfaus Ski School course. At the Murmlirest, children up to the age of six can enjoy an exciting fantasy world, accompanied by Murmli and the Snow Ghost. The Starrest is a unique restaurant experience for kids and teenagers, where they can explore the themes of the new Snowstar Programme from the Serfaus Ski School. Theres also a new menu with dishes taste-tested by kids and recommended by parents. Youngsters at the Fiss-Ladis Ski School can still enjoy the very best in food and entertainment at the kids restaurant Bertas Kinderplanet. IMPROVEMENTS TO SLOPES. SNOW-MAKING FACILITIES. Long Downhill and Skyline. The new Long Downhill joins the Frommes downhill with the Ladis downhill. It is a red piste, 1.2 km in length (according to guidelines), up to 80 metres wide and equipped with the very latest snow-making facilities. Also new is the Skyline ski route, 2 km in length (according to guidelines) it leads down from the Schngamp to join the Frommes downhill. Thanks to the Hg resevoir (200,000 m) in Serfaus, all snow-making facilities are now even more efficient. At optimum temperatures, many pistes and other parts of the ski area can be fully covered in 3-4 days. PISTE NUMBERING. Starting this winter, all pistes and downhill runs in Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis have been allocated a number this is to provide visitors with an additional orientation aid. SPORT SHOP. SKI HIRE. New this year, and situated directly at the valley station of the Waldbahn Fiss-Serfaus, you can find a new, modern sport shop including hire. Choose from a wide range of products and try out the latest equipment, all if which is carefully prepared before each use. SKI MOVIE RUN. Feel like a pro skier and enjoy being filmed by specialist video cameras on parallel race courses. Afterwards you can analyse your skills, or send your video to friends and share you film star potential! MURMLI/BERTA PASS.  The free ski pass for all children born in or after 2008 must be obtained from one of the cable car ticket offices (ID required).

Piste maintenance and snow-grooming vehicles with winch cables We occasionally need to deploy piste maintenance machines on the slopes when they are still being used by skiers. Please ensure you keep a safe distance from such machines in the interests of your own safety. Please heed acoustic and visual warning signals at all times! After pistes close at the end of the day winch cables from piste maintenance devices present a potential hazard. The cable car operators accept no liability for accidents! Please note that in the case of persistent snowfall, groomed slopes may once again become snowed over prior to opening so that they may not always be completely frozen. As a result, moguls and piles of snow may form shortly after the ski slopes are in use. Closure of pistes and avalanche blasting For safety reasons, avalanche blasting may take place if large amounts of fresh snow have fallen. Detonations usually take place in the early hours before the start of regular ski operations. If there is a particularly large volume of new snow, avalanche blasting may also have to take place while the slopes are being used by skiers. The affected areas are then closed for skiing! Watch out for information at stations and terminals! Backcountry skiing If you intend to go skiing outside the secured area you are advised in the interests of your own safety to find out about the risk of avalanches, any planned avalanche blasting and weather conditions from the cable car operators. Tobogganing Please do not use the ski slopes. Use the tobogganing run or the signposted tobogganing slopes. Skiing accidents Please report the type and location of the accident to the nearest lift station or terminal, or contact the mountain rescue services directly.
