At ISSB, we are looking for alert, motivated candidates who have the potential to complete the long, ard o s a e!tensive training which faces all newl" commissioned officers in the service# $he Selection Board is looking man" things, s ch as clear thinking, the a%ilit" to remain calm nder stress and strain, team skills and willingne to participate# &e don't want "o to displa" rashness or aggression( neither do we want "o to %e d ll or spiritless# Be honest, straightforward and frank# Don't displa" over)conscio sness, false pro*ection or s perfici %ehavior# +ver the "ears some private instit tions and coaching centers have m shroomed in the co ntr" to tra the candidate for passing ISSB tests# ,o are advised not to *oin these for training and g idance# $he training imparted in these centers is too restricted and %rings in rigidit" in tho ght process# Appearance ,o can tell a lot from a person's appearance# Show s "o have got a sense of personal pride# Self Confidence Self)confidence and mat rit" are largel" the prod ct of e!perience# ,o can strengthen these - alities %" participating in)gro p activities, taking on responsi%ilit" and e!ercising independence# Expressions &e look for people with good e!pression, ma" it %e Urd or English, clear direction, a good voca% lar" and sense of grammar# $r" to develop these %" *oining in de%ates and gro p disc ssions#
