Then, worn across the ages , torn asunder, hidden under a sea of red, reconstruct the tim e-line." You don't have to select them in a certain order (or at least, we don't think we do). Regardless, this is how we listed the paintings basing it off of the hint about "red" -- we selected paintings with red in them for the correct solution: -Chris t Disrobed, Jerusalem . c. 30 -Joseph, Egypt. c 1700 B.C.E. -Jesus Christ, Jerus alem . c. 30 -David and Goliath, Valley of Elah. c. 970 B.C.E. -Jason, Greece. Hint: You should be close to an expert at these puzzles by now . Still, it wouldn't hurt for a few hints would it (like seeing what the final image would look like above). You really should work from the inside out on this puzzle, so that you have have an idea on the direction the characters are positioned in the painting.

Campanile Di San Marco Venice: San Marco District

(16)The Cavalry Hint: This is a pretty easy puzzle. All you have to do is select the correct location nam e: Tungus ka. Then hover the cursor over the staff and then stab the photograph to solve this puzzle. Torre Dell 'Orologio Venice: San Marco District

(17)The Bunker Hint1: This is one of the harder puzzles in the game. The only hint you really get is the < symbol in the photograph in the lower left, and a faint num ber 4 in between the m iddle pictures. Lining up those puts the hourglass looking im age under the 9. Now you have to figure out which sym bols go under the 7 and 1. The key to the pattern on the wheel is the number of angles, or sharp corners, each shape has. The O has no angles, the < has one angle, etc. all the way up to nine angles. By this logic, the m is sing symbol under the 7 must have four angles, while the symbol under the 1 m ust have eight angles. See the im age for the correct solution

Hint2: Now that you got that puzzle out of the way, it's tim e for a photohunt. Aim your cursor over the attic of the house in the upper right and locate the Assas sin sym bol, and then ID it. San Pietro Di Castello Venice: Castello District

(18)Synapses Hint1: In the lower right there are a num ber of x-rays of the brain with the num ber 5 and then sym erian sym bol for 1. Line up 5 with that sym bol on the dial. On the second picture from the left is a mathem atical progression, starting with the sum erian sym bol for 1 and continuing with "+2+6+2+1..." and so on. This is the system in which the codewheel is arranged. As you can see on the code wheel, the symbol following the Sum erian 1 is the Sum erian 3 (being 1+2), the next is the Sumerian 9 (being 3+6), then Sum erian 11 (9+2) and Sumerian 12 (11+1). Continuing the sequence will let you figure out which Sumerian s ymbols are m iss ing on the codewheel (17 and 31). Hint2: Once that portion is done, it's a nice an easy photohunt where you guide the sym bol over the thick blood vess eles, turning them blue. Scuola Grande Di San Marco Venice: Castello District

(19)The Fourth Day Hint1: "Once worshipped, now ignored, from a distance it watches and waits," is the big hint this tim e around. What do all of the paintings have in comm on? What was an object that was once worshipped? Why the sun of course! Select each of the five paintings that have som e relation to the sun (or the use of the sun as in a calendar). The nam es of the correct paintings are listed below. -Aztec Calendar Stone. 1427 -The Eastern Gate. 1816 -Sistine Chapel Ceiling Fresco. 1512 -Nazca Textile. c. 200

(20)The Origin of the Species Hint1: The second inner layer and the fith outter layers are not connect to any other circle. So, that m eans you can always com e back to these layers last s ince you can rotate them independtly of the other layers that are stuck to each other. Work your way out from the middle and view our screenshot to see what the final result should look like.

-Now with that puzzle out of the way, it's an easy photohunt. ID the sun to com plete this painting to m ove onto the next portion. -Notice the text that says "Nothing is true, everything is perm itted." That means you can put any symbol you want in the red section to pass this puzzle. -Lastly, this skeleton puzzle. Just m ove the cursor over each of the bones to change it from a monkey into a hum an skeleton. That's it! Now sit back and watch Subject 16's Truth video.

Well, I do wish you had posted a way to solve #15, since I tried for about a half hour and then gave up, so there will always be a piece of the Truth second missing, but still, thanks for the solutions to the rest. Regular: Reply | Quote GailKimFangirl Registered: Nov 09 Posts: 100

15 was tough, but you should be able to figure it out. What you want to do is figure out which levels effect the same rings, then counter-wind those levels against levels that control other rings. Its very tricky to explain it in text, but its a lot easier to show you in person... basically, m ost of the ring photo puzzles have about 6 levels... Level 1 is the center of the photo. then the other five levels are the rings that spread outward from the center. The center is always correct, s o the first thing you want to do is go out to level 2, the sm allest ring you can control. Line up level 2 to m atch the center. illExotic Registered: Oct 04 Posts: 8,070 Next, m ove out to level 3 and m atch that one up. From here, the levels control m ultiple rings. So what you want to do is find out which levels control multiple rings. Then find what other levels control the same rings. Then rotate the inner rings so that they m atch the photo. Now rotate the outer rings in the opposite direction (i use 4 clicks) which will effect the inner rings, but position the outter rings. Continue experim enting with the counter-winding technique going from inner to outter levels until everything m atches up. Two of the puzzles ( #15 included ) i solved by trial and error. I had no idea what it would look like, but this technique worked it out. ANd it never took longer than 2 m inutes for m e to solve any of the photo ring puzzles.

I did manage to figure out the 15th one. It took m e three hours. I absolutely HATE puzzles, and of course this game doesn't have any easy outs for them . The one with the sum erian sym bols , num ber 18, had no picture with the proper answer. So I'm stuck once again trying every possible com bination to solve the stupid puzzle. I'm really hating these glyphs. In fact, they're dam pening m y enjoym ent of the entire game. GailKimFangirl Registered: Nov 09 Posts: 100 Regular: Reply | Quote

I had a sim ilar reaction to the horrible f'king cellphone mini-gam e that passed as "hacking" in bioshock, cuz it was the same dull crap over and over and over, ad nauseum (and, even worse, it was on the clock). Maybe if (instead of greeting these generally brilliant puzzles with dism ay) you s top, relax, and enjoy the proces s of thinking about it, your experience won't be dam aged so. After all, every game is essentially a glorified puzzle.
