Objective The objective of the Korean Government Scholarship Program for an undergraduate degree is to provide international students with an opportunity to conduct advanced studies at higher educational institutions in Korea in order to promote international exchanges in education and mutual friendship between the countries. 2. Aca#emic 'ro%rams: (n#er%ra#uate #e%ree course )* !rs.+ after preliminar! ,orean -an%ua%e course )1!r.+ Grantees should ta%e a preliminary Korean language course at the institution designated by )**"0. The institution will be specified in a letter of invitation after the announcement of final successful candidates.

Grantees should reach level 4 in T5P*K /Test of Proficiency in Korean2 after the completion of a one+ year preliminary Korean language course 6 otherwise7 grantees are not allowed to ta%e a bachelor8s degree course 6 instead s9he may ta%e an additional : month Korean language course ;*T<*) the scholarship period stipulated in a letter of invitation. The grantees with level = or higher in T5P*K shall begin to ta%e a bachelor8s degree course from >?@A spring semester without the preliminary Korean language course.

The grantee who has level = or higher in T5P*K will receive @??7??? won per month after being enrolled at a university for his9her higher degree. /42 )5T"S @ > 4 A = )**"0 does not compensate expenses for the domestic travel both in the grantee8s country and in Korea. !irfare for entry into Korea will not be provided to a grantee that has been staying in Korea as of the date of announcement of successful candidates )**"0 does not compensate expenses for insurance for traveling to and from Korea. The medical fee is to be reimbursed through the insurance company to the grantee after s9he pays first. <owever7 the expense for dental clinic or chronic disease will not be covered. !ny grantee that 'uits the program within 4 months after s9he entering Korea7 should refund all scholarship6 airfare for coming into Korea7 settlement allowance7 monthly stipend7 Korean language training expenses7 etc.

!ny grantee who gives up his9her study in the half way during the scholarship period will not receive airfare and allowance for return to his9her country.

"ach document can be stapled7 but do not staple all the documents together7 or do not put them into a transparent file one by one.

Application form and other materials should be filled out either in Korean or in "nglish. The documents such as certificates or credentials issued in languages other than Korean or "nglish #,ST include official notari&ed translation. !ll of the materials should be !A si&ed ones6 if smaller7 attach the material to an additional !A si&ed paper6 if bigger7 fold it up to be an !A si&ed one. ! high school grade transcript should contain a description of the school grading system. !nd if the applicant class ran% or percentile is not stated in the transcript7 you should submit an additional official certificate issued by your high school to prove that your academic achievement satisfies =+/=2 above.

Grantees must arrive in Korea by late Cebruary7 >?@A. *n case a grantee does not enter Korea by the designated date without any special reason7 his9her scholarship will be canceled.
