Work Experience
Current September 2011 Researcher at University of Cyprus, Nicosia, Cyprus SKYFLASH (Development of Rad Hard non-volatile Flash Memories for Space Applications), Funded by EU FP7-SPACE-2010-1
Electronic circuits in the space environment, which do not enjoy the protection of the earths atmosphere, are constantly bombarded by high energy particles in addition to being exposed to higher levels of background radiation. The major involvement in this project was the design of radiation hardened by design analog circuits in a conventional 0.18m process. For the proof of concept Ive rested and characterized the functionality and performance of post-fabricated circuits under, -rays, x-rays, protons and heavy ions (silicon, krypton, xenon).

Dec 2012-Dec 2013

Researcher at University of Cyprus, Nicosia, Cyprus An Ultra-low-Power Bioinspired Microfluidic Gyroscope, Partially Funded by MED-EL Elektromedizinische Gerte GmbH
Design, develop and characterize of a biomimetic, MEMS-Microfulidic angular rate sensor. The gyro achieved significant advantages in terms of power consumption and reliability compared to prior art.

Mar 2009-Aug 2011

Researcher at University of Cyprus, Nicosia, Cyprus SCANDLE (Acoustic Scene Analysis for Detecting Living Entities), Funded by EU-FP7
Developing of a hardware system that will be able to identify and distinguish living beings from inanimate objects, on the basis of sound alone: a cognitive acoustic scene analysis system.
