Kappas main #loc- features a ladder frame construction for superior structural stiffness while its cylinders are fitted with cast$iron liners for improved a#rasion dura#ility. %dditional weight was shaved off #y integrating the engine support #rac-et with the timing chain cover. Aut pro#a#ly the most significant engineering innovation is Kappas offset cran-shaft( an engineering concept first adopted in the Bamma engine introduced last year. <nli-e a conventional engine where the centreline of the cylinder #ore is in perfect vertical alignment with the rotating a7is of the cran-shaft( the Kappas centreline is offset #y a small distance.
