THE CAREER PREP INTERNSHIP PROGRAM WITH MANAGEMENT LEADERSHIP FOR TOMORROW If you are currently a sophomore in college, have strong grades and leadership experience, you should consider The Career Prep Internship Program with Management Leadership for Tomorrow (MLT). Career Prep provides participating undergraduates, with the skills and road map they need to get on the career fast-track after college. The program is open to all majors. Students from all disciplines and interests may apply. MLT's 2nd application deadline is Sunday, April 6th, 2014. The Career Prep program accepts Native American, African-American and Hispanic sophomores and helps prepare them for a diverse range of business careers. The program does this through one-on-one coaching, four skill development seminars at fortune 500 company headquarters across the country, support network of 3000+ alumni, and networking opportunities with prestigious employers before recruiting season. Some of the employers that MLT partners with include Google, Deloitte, Credit Suisse, and Target. PUBLIC SERVICE AND OUTREACH STUDENT SCHOLARS PROGRAM The Public Service and Outreach Student Scholars program is now accepting applications for 2014-15. This program, established in 2011, selects about 10-12 undergraduates (with at least 60 credit hours and a 3.0 GPA) to learn about and engage in UGAs Public Service and Outreach (PSO) mission and activities. It includes fall cohort meetings and trips, as well as a 150-hour spring internship with faculty in a PSO unit, with possible funding for an additional paid summer internship. Selection will happen during April, with notification by the end of the semester; fall program activities include meetings on Fridays, 12:20-2:15, a Rock Eagle retreat Aug. 22-24, and a Marine Extension trip Oct. 17-19.
