INSTALLATION
Notes:
Monter lunit de faon ce que sa
prsence ninterfre pas avec la conduite.
Avant dinstaller lunit dfinitivement,
effectuer les connexions lectriques et
sassurer que tout soit branch
correctement et que lunit et le systme
fonctionnent bien aussi correctement.
Utiliser seulement les parties fournies afin
de garantir une installation correcte.
Lemploi de parties non autorises
pourrait causer des mauvais
fonctionnements.
g Au cas o linstallation demanderait de
faire des trous ou dautres modifications
du vhicule sadresser au revendeur le
plus prs.
Installer lunit de faon ce qu elle
ninterfre pas avec les mouvements du
conducteur et ne blesse pas le passager
en cas darrt imprvu, par exemple en
cas de coup de frein durgence.
Au cas o langle dinstallation serait
suprieur 30de laxe horizontal, lunit
pourrait ne pas offrir sa meilleure
performance.
g Ne pas installer lunit dans des endroits
exposs aux hautes tempratures, la
lumire solaire, lair chaud ou la
poussire, la salet et aux vibrations
excessives.
INSTALLATION DIN
FRONTALE/POSTERIEURE
Cette unit peut tre correctement installe
frontalement (installation DIN frontale
conventionnelle) ou bien
postrieurement (installation DIN
postrieure, en utilisant les trous pour vis
filetes sur les cts du chssis).
Pour des informations supplmentaires,
se reporter aux instructions dinstallation
ci-aprs illustres.
AVANT DE PROCEDER LINSTALLATION
ENLEVER LES VIS
Avant de procder linstallation de lunit,
enlever les vis.
INSTALLATION DIN FRONTALE
(MthodeA)
Dbut de linstallation
Cette unit peut mtre installe sur tous les
tableaux de bord ayant une ouverture
comme ci-aprs indiqu:
Installer lunit
Avant tout, sassurer que le moteur soit
teint, ensuite suivre la procdure indique
ci-dessous pour installer lunit.
1. Sassurer que le moteur soit teint, puis
dbrancher le cable du terminal negatif (-)
de la batterie.
2. Dbrancher les cables lectriques et
lantenne.

INSTALLATION
3. Appuyer sur la touche de relche sur le
panneau frontal et enlever le panneau de
commande (voir comment utiliser le
panneau frontal extractible).
4. Soulever la partie suprieure de la bague
de fermeture extrieure et tirer vers
lextrieur pour le retirer.
5. Les deux cls fournies permettent de
dbloquer les languettes situes
lintrieur du manchon et de pouvoir ainsi
le retirer. Insrer les cls le plus possible
(en tenant la partie grave tourne vers le
haut) dans les fentes spciales situes au
centre des cts droit et gauche de lunit.
Faire ensuite glisser le manchon hors de
la partie postrieure de lunit.
6. Monter le manchon en linsrant dans
louverture du tableau de bord et soulever
les languettes situes autour du manchon
laide dun tournevis. Pas toutes les
languettes ne pourront faire contact, il
faudra donc tablir lesquelles sont les
plus efficaces; les tenir donc souleves
pour fixer le manchon dans le point prvu.
7. Rtablir les connexions lectriques,
rebrancher lantenne et faire attention
ncraser aucun fil ou cble.
8. Faire glisser lunit lintrieur du
manchon jusqu lintroduction complte.
9. Pour fixer lunit ultrieurement, utiliser la
bande en mtal fournie afin de fixer la
partie postrieure de lunit. Utiliser le
matriel de montage fourni (Ecrou
hexagonal (M5mm) et rondelle ressort)
pour attacher une terminaison de la
bande mtallique au boulon de montage
sur la partie postrieure du vhicule. Au
cas o il serait ncessaire, soulever la
bande mtallique pour adapter laire de
montage du vhicule. Utiliser ensuite le
matriel fourni (vis autotaraudeuse
5x25mm et rondelle lisse) pour attacher
lautre terminaison de la bande
mtallique une partie mtallique fixe du
vhicule sous le tableau de bord. Cette
bande aide aussi assurer une mise la
terre adapte.
Note: pour installer la partie terminale filet
court du boulon de montage la partie
postrieure de lunit et lautre terminal
filet long au tableau de bord.

INSTALLATION
10. Reconnecter le cble au terminal
ngatif (-) de la batterie. Ensuite
substituer la bague de fermeture
extrieure et installer le panneau frontal
de lunit (voircomment utiliser le
panneau frontal extractible).
Enlever lunit
1. Sassurer que le moteur soit teint, puis
dbrancher le cble du terminal ngatif(-)
de la batterie.
2. Enlever la bande mtallique attache la
partie postrieure de lunit (si attache).
3. Appuyer sur la touche de relche pour
retirer le panneau frontal.
4. Soulever la partie suprieure de la bague
de fermeture extrieure et le tirer vers
lextrieur pour le retirer.
5. Insrer les deux cls fournies dans
les fentes spciales situes au centre des
cts droit et gauche de lunit, ensuite
extraire lunit du tableau de bord.
INSTALLATION DIN POSTERIEURE
(Mthode B)
Si vous possdez un vhicule Nissan ou
Toyota, suivre les instructions de montage
reportes ci-aprs.
Utiliser les trous pour les vis marques avec
T (Toyota), N (Nissan) situs sur les deux
cts de lunit pour la fixer aux brides de
montage en dotation avec le vhicule.
Comment fixer lunit aux brides de montage.
Aligner les trous pour les vis prsentes sur
le panneau ceux qui sont prsents sur
lunit, visser les vis (5x5mm) sur tous les
cts.
Note: la bague de fixage extrieure, le
manchon et la bande mtallique ne sont
pas utiliss pour linstallation de type B.

UTILISER LA FACADE AVANT DETACHABLE
1. Appuyer sur le bouton-poussoir OPEN,
la faade avant sera ainsi relach.
2. Pour enlever la faade avant, le
soulever lgrement; ensuite tirer vers
lextrieur le ct droit, puis le gauche.
3. Remettre la faade avant dans ltui
fourni tout de suite aprs lavoir retir.

Comment installer la faade avant
1. Pour installer la faade avant, insrer
avant tout le ct gauche dans la position
approprie et ensuite le droit.

2. Lorsque les deux cts sont fixs, pousser
la faade avant dans lunit principale.
3. Au cas o la faade avant narriverait
pas sencastrer dans la position
correcte, la pression du bouton-poussoir
de contrle pourrait ne donner aucun
rsultat et certains segments pourraient
ne pas tre visualiss sur
lafficheur.Appuyer sur le bouton OPEN
et procder une nouvelle installation du
la faade avant.
Prcautions dans la manipulation du
la faade avant
1. Ne pas faire tomber la faade avant.
2. Ne pas exercer une pression sur
lafficheur ou sur les touches de contrle
durant les phases denlvement ou
dinstallation du la faade avant.
3. Ne pas toucher les contacts sur la
faade avant ou sur le corps principal
de lunit. Ceci pourrait causer des
contacts lectriques faibles.
4. Faire attention ce que les poussires et
les substances tranges nattaquent pas
les contacts; en ce cas l utiliser un
chiffon sec et propre et les enlever.
5. Nexposer la faade avant des
tempratures leves ou la lumire
directe du soleil en aucun cas.
6. Tenir tout agent volatile loin (par exemple
le benzne, les diluants ou les
insecticides) vitant quil ne rentre en
contact avec la surface la faade avant.
7. Ne pas chercher dmonter la faade
avant.

FONCTIONNEMENT
Oprations de Base.
Mise en fonction/arrt de lappareil.
Appuyer sur le bouton (14) pour dmarrer
lappareil. Quand lappareil est allum,
(14) pour lteindre.
Retirer la faade avant amovible de
lappareil.
Appuyez sur la touche de retrait de la faade
avant (2) pour dtacher celle-ci de lappareil.
Ajuster la puissance du volume.


Appuyer rapidement sur le bouton (1)
pour slectionner le mode rglage dsir. Le
mode rglage changera dans lordre suivant:

VOL BAS TRB BAL FAD
(Volume) (Bass) (Treble) (Balance) (Fader)
En tournant le bouton volume (1) dans le
sens des aiguilles d'une montre ou dans le
sens inverse des aiguilles d'une montre, vous
pouvez ajuster la qualit de son selon votre
prfrence.
REGLAGE DE SYSTEME.
Appuyez et maintenez le bouton SEL (1) sur
le panneau avant pour entrer dans le mode
rglage de systme. Puis appuyez
rapidement sur le bouton SEL (1) pour
slectionner litem que vous voulez changer
et tournez le boulon volume (1) pour changer
le rglage correspondant.

Cette touche situe sur le panneau avant
permet dactiver/dsactiver le son
Biplorsquune touche de fonction est
active.

1) BEEP ALL/OFF/2ND
2) AREA (Rgion) EUR/USA
Utilisez le bouton volume (1) pour rgler
lcart de frquence de zone EUR ou
USA.
Lors de rglage AREA EUR (ZONE
EUR), le bouton (21) est la fonction
AF; lors de rglage AREA USA
(ZONE USA), le bouton (21) na pas
de fonction.

3) TA SEEK/ALARM
a) La fonction TA SEEK
Lorsquune station rcemment
slectionne ne capte pas le signal des
flash infos circulation routire (TP)
dans les 5 secondes, la radio recherche
automatiquement une autre station
diffrente mais de laquelle il capte
correctement le signal des
informationsTP.
station, perd le signal TP, il parcourt
automatiquement toute la bande FM, pour
rechercher une autre frquence ventuelle
sur laquelle cette mme station pourrait
mettre et dont le signal PT serait capt. Si
aprs un cycle complet de recherche cette
autre frquence nest pas trouve, l
appareil recherche une autre station sur
laquelle le signal TP est galement capt.
Note: Lorsque lappareil est en fonction TA
tre interrompue sans pravis pour faire
place une station diffrente suite la
recherche automatique dune autre station
dont la captation du signal TP est correcte
alors que celui de la station initiale est trop
faible. ( La priorit est toujours donne la
fonction TA par rapport la fonction PTY.
b) La fonction TA ALARM
Lorsque cette fonction est slectionne,
la recherche automatique du signal TP
nest pas active. Si la capture du
signal TP nest plus possible sur la
dun double Bip(Alarme) et une autre
station ne sera pas recherche.
Lappareil reste donc branch sur la
coute dune Lorsque lappareil, durant l
peut SEEK, la station en cours d coute
situation sera confirme par l coute

4) PI SOUND/MUTE

De mme si aprs la perte de la capture
du signal TP lors de lcoute dune station
et que lappareil a recherch
automatiquement et retrouv une autre
station disposant de ce signal, le mme
Bip est audible. Lorsque lappareil
capte une station ne disposant pas du
systme ANS la fonction PISEEK nest
videmment pas active.
Utilisez le bouton volume (1) pour
slection PI SOUND/MUTE.
5) RETUNE L/S
Lorsque la capture du signal PI est faible
ou perdue au cours de lcoute dune
station ce menu vous permet de dfinir le
temps aprs lequel la recherche
automatique dune autre station avec le
mme signal PI doit tre lance.RETUNE
SHORT: aprs un dlai de 30 secondes.
RETUNE LONG : aprs un dlai de 90
secondes.
Augmenter leffet des basses.
Appuyez durant quelques secondes sur la
touche (3) pour activer la fonction
daugmentation de leffet des basses. Cette
quelques secondes sur cette mme touche
pour dsactiver cette fonction.
LOUD

6) MASK DPI/ALL
La fonction MASK DPI masque
seulement les frquences alternatives qui
disposent dun signal PI (DPI) diffrent. La
fonction MASK ALL masque les frquences
alternatives qui disposent dun signal PI
(DPI) diffrent ou/et dont le signal ANS est
trop faible.

Egaliseur.
Appuyez sur la touche EQ (21) pour activer
lgalisateur et vous permettre de
slectionner entre les 5 diffrents modes
proposes dans la squence et dans lordre
suivant:
FLAT(uniforme)CLASSIC(classique)POPROCK
EQ OFF (retour normal)

MUET.

appuyez encore sur le bouton MUT (14)
pour remettre le son.
AFFICHAGE A CRISTAUX LIQUIDES
Affiche la frquence ou le nom de la station
coute (7).

FONCTION ESP
Cet appareil peut tre rsistant aux chocs
dune dure denviron 10 secondes..

FONCTIONNEMENT
La fonction Reset.
La fonction RESET peut tre active pour
les diffrentes raisons suivantes:
- Retour au rglage dorigine.
- Lorsque les touches de fonctions ne
- Des symboles errons sont affichs sur
lcran.
Appuyez sur le bouton de la fonction
RESET laide dune pointe bic ou dune
fine tige mallique pour activer cette
fonction.
Note: Si aprs avoir appuy sur le bouton
RESET lappareil ne fonctionne toujours
pas correctement, laide dun coton tige
trs lgrement imbib dalcool
isopropylique nettoyez le bouton et
appuyez nouveau sur le bouton.
Utilisation de La Radio.
Slection de la bande de frquences.
En mode radio, appuyez sur la touche
(3) afin de slectionner la bande des
frquences que vous souhaitez. Durant
votre slection les bandes de frquences
dfileront dans lordre suivant:
Slection dune station.
Appuyez brivement sur lune des touches
/ (5&6) pour activer la function de
recherche automatique de station. Appuyez
durant quelques secondes sur lune de ces
touches pour faire apparatre lindication
MANUALet passer donc en
recherch manuelle des stations. Si aucune
des deux touches nest active durant
plusieurs secondes,lappareil revient
automatiquement en mode de recherche
automatique.

Appuyez durant quelques secondes sur
la touche AS/PS (20),
recherche alors dans toute la bande de
frquence prslectionne les 6 stations
dont elle capte le signal de la meilleure
qualit possible (fort et clair)et les
mmorise sous les 6 numros des
prslections
- Balayage des programmations
Appuyez maintenant nouveau
brivement sur la touche AS/PS pour
effectuer un balayage dcoute des
diffrentes stations mmorises en
prslections.Durant le balayage les
numros des prslections en coute
seront affichs sur lcran de P1 P6
Mise en mmoire dune station.
Aprs avoir trouv votre station, presser un
des boutons de pr-slection (1-6) pendant
plusieurs secondes (jusqu entendre un
2me bip), la station est alors enregistre
sur la touche slectionne.

Frquence Alternative (AF).
AF est une fonction ANS, il est seulement
valable pour les chanes FM. Lappareil
cherche la meilleure frquence pour la chane
slectionne.
Appuyez et maintenez AF (22) to
activer/dsactiver cette fonction.
Utilisation Du Systme ANS.
Aprs avoir effectu

Type de Programme (PTY)
Certaines chanes FM transmettent en plus
de chane nomme aussi le type
programme. Vous pouvez chercher les
chanes ayant certains genres.
Appuyez une fois sur PTY (22) pour
slectionner le groupe PTY.
Tournez le bouton volume (1) pour
slectionner le programme PTY comme
suivants:


Aprs avoir slectionn le programme PTY,
lappareil commencera chercher les
chanes respectives et sarrtera lorsque
une chane sera trouve. Si lappareil ne
trouve aucune chane de genre respectif
PTY, NO PTY (PAS DE PTY) sera
affich. La fonction PTY sera dsactive si
le genre PTY slectionn nest plus recu.
Lorsque PTY est active, appuyez
encore sur PTY (22) pour dsactiver la
fonction PTY.

NEWS, AFFAIRS, INFO, SPORT,

Annonce Trafic (TA)
Appuyez et maintenez TA (21) pour
activer ou dsactiver ce mode. TA
sera affich avec le mode activ.
Lors dune mission dannonce trafic,
appuyez et maintenezTA (21) pour

Utilisation Du Lecteur CD/MP3/WMA.

Activer le lecteur CD
Si aucun disque n dj t inser dans le
lecteur CD.
Introduisez dlicatement un disque
CD/MP3/WMA, face avec ltiquette
didentification vers le haut, dans le
compartiment disque de lappareil jusquau
moment ou vous sentirez une lgre
resistance. Ds ce moment le disque sera
automatiquement aval par lappareil.
La lecture du disque CD/MP3/WMA dbutera
immdiatement.
Sil y a dj un disque insr dans le
lecteur CD
Appuyez bivement sur la touche (4).
Slection dune plage du CD
En appuyant brivement sur les
touches / vous passez
immdiatement la plage
prcdente/suivante. Le numro des
MODE
ALARM est affich: Les annonces
autoroutires sont reues. Le volume
augmente une valeur prrgle.
En mode TA, lappareil diffusera
automatiquement, quelque soit le mode,
Iannonce trafic. Le niveau du volume
augmentera une valeur minimum pour
Iannonce trafic.

Mise en pause
Appuyez sur la touche PAU (10) pour
interrompre momentanment la lecture est
mise en pause. Appuyez nouveau
sur la touche PAU pour reprendre
la lecture du CD.
Balayage des lectures de toutes les
plages du CD
Appuyez sur la touche SCN (12) pour
effectuer une lecture durant quelques
secondes du dbut de chacune des plages
fonction et faire la lecture normale de la
plage slectionne.
Appuyez une fois de du CD. plus sur
cette mme touche pour stopper la
Rptition fonction
Appuyez sur la touche RPT (13) pour faire
relire de manire continue la plage en cours
cette mme touche pour annuler la fonction
de lecture. Appuyez nouveau sur
appuyez sur la touche RPT (13)
et la relecture de toute les plages
Lors dune lecture dun MP3/WMA,
du folder (album) est active.
Slection REP ONE, REP DIR, REP OFF.
Lecture alatoire de toutes les plages.
Appuyez sur la touche SHF (9) pour activer
la lecture alatoire (ordre de lecture des
plages diffrents et dtermin alatoirement
par lappareil) de toutes les plages du
touche pour annuler cette fonction.

Fonctions spciales lors de lecture dun
disque MP3/WMA
1. Slection dun folder (album)
Appuyez sur lune des touches DIR- (8)
plages sont affichs sur lcran de
lappareil.En appuyant de manire continue
sur les touches / lappareil fera une
lecture rapide arrire/avant. La lecture
normale vitesse normale sera reprise ds
que lune de ces touches sera relache.
ou DIR+ (15) pour slectionner par
defilement dcroissant ou croissant les
diffrents albums prsents sur le disque.
Si le disque necontient pas dalbum il ne
sera pas possible dutiliser cette fonction
et ces touches seront inactives.
2. Slection dune piste.

Recherche directe dune piste

(chanson)
Appuyer sur la touche AS/PS (D-AUD)
(20) 1 fois. Vous entrez dans
Recherche de piste directe dans le
CD .
Explication comme suit:
- Utilisez les boutons pour
slectionner les caractres de A Z,
en blanc, de 0 9, _, -, +.
- Appuyer sur le bouton SEL (1) pour
confirmer l'entre de chacun des
personnages.
Recherche de l'annuaire ou du

connectez une cl Entre Srie Bus
lappareil via cet interface, lappareil
recherche automatiquement les diffrents
dossiers MP3/WMAcontenu dans cette cl et
dbute immdiatement la lecture.
Si lappareil se trouve dans un autre mode de
slection de lecture ou en mode radio, vous
pouvez appuyer sur la touche (4) pour
slectionner le mode ESB.
En lecture MP3 ou WMA dune cl ESB les
divers.
Note:
ESB MP3 nest pas un standard unique,
cela implique que diffrentes marques ou
MODE

Recherche partir de l'annuaire
diffrents modles disposent dun
standard qui parfois leur est propre. Ceci
explique pourquoi notre appareil ne peut
lire tous les supports MP3
Lorsque vous connectez un cl MP3 et
que celui-ci dispose de piles normales
(piles non rechargeables), il faudra
renouveler les piles de la cl MP3 avant
de la connecter via linterface
lappareil.
Le non respect de cette recommandation
importante peut faire exploser la/les
pile(s).
Ne dconnectez pas la cl ESB de
lappareil lorsquil est en cours de lecture
via linterface ESB.
Lorsque la cl ESB contient des dossiers
importants, nous vous conseillons de ne pas
la raccorder lappareil pour une
lecture.
De mme lorsquun CD-R/RW contient
galement des dossiers importants nous
formulons la mme recommendation
Une mauvaise opration pourrait, dans les
deux cas, effacer les dossiers contenus
dans lun ou lautre des supports. Nous ne
pouvons assumer la responsabilit dune
perte dedossier.

INSTALLATION
Notes:
Choose the mounting location where the
unit will not interfere with the normal
driving function of the driver.
Before finally installing the unit, connect
the wiring temporarily and make sure it is
all connected up properly and the unit and
the system work properly.
Use only the parts included with the unit to
ensure proper installation.
The use of unauthorized parts can cause
malfunctions.
g Consult with your nearest dealer if
installation requires the drilling of holes or
other modifications of the vehicle.
Install the unit where it does not get in the
drivers way and cannot injure the
passenger if there is a sudden stop, like
an emergency stop.
If installation angle exceeds 30from
horizontal, the unit might not give its
optimum performance.
g Avoid installing the unit where it would be
subject to high temperature, such as
from direct sunlight, or from hot air, from
the heater, or where it would be subject to
dust, dirt or excessive vibration.
DIN FRONT/REAR-MOUNT
This unit can be properly installed either f
rom Front (conventional DIN Frontmount)
or Rear (DIN Rear-mount installation,
utilizing threaded screw holes at the sides
of the unit chassis). For details, refer to the
following illustrated installation methods

Before install the unit, please remove the
two screws.
DIN FRONT-MOUNT (Method A)
Installation Opening
This unit can be installed in any dashboard
having an opening as show below:
Installing the unit
Be sure you test all connections first, and
then follow these steps to install the unit.
1. Make sure the ignition is turned off, and
then disconnect the cable from the
vehicle batterys negative (-) terminal.
2. Disconnect the wire harness and the
antenna.
3. Press the release button on the front
panel and remove the control panel (see
the steps of using the detachable front
panel).
4. Lift the top of the outer trim ring then pull
it out to remove it.

INSTALLATION
5. The two supplied keys release tabs inside
the units sleeve so you can remove it.
Insert the keys as far as they will go (with
the notches facing up) into the appropriate
slots at the middle left and right sides of
the unit. Then slide the sleeve off the back
of the unit.
6. Mount the sleeve by inserting the sleeve
into the opening of the dashboard and
bend open the tabs located around the
sleeve with a screwdriver. Not all tabs will
be able to make contact, so examine which
ones will be most effective. Bending
open the appropriate tabs behind the
dashboard to secure the sleeve in place.
7. Reconnect the wire harness and the
antenna and be careful not to pinch any
wires or cables.
8. Slide the unit into the sleeve until it locks
into place.
9. To further secure the unit, use the
supplied metal strap to secure the back of
the unit in place. Use the supplied
hardware (Hex Nut (M5mm) and Spring
Washer) to attach one end of the strap to
the mounting bolt on the back of the unit.
If necessary, bend the metal strap to fit
your vehicles mounting area. Then use
the supplied hardware (Tapping Screw
(5x25mm) and Plain Washer) to attach
the other end of metal strap to a solid
metal part of the vehicle under the
dashboard. This strap also helps ensure
proper electrical grounding of the unit.
Note: to install the short threading terminal
of the mounting bolt to the back of
the unit and the other long threading
terminal to the dashboard.
10. Reconnect the cable to the vehicle
batterys negative (-) terminal.
Then replace the outer trim ring and
install the units front panel. (see the
steps of using the detachable front
panel).
Removing the unit
1. Make sure the ignition is turned off,

then disconnect the cable from the vehicle
batterys negative (-) terminal.
2. Remove the metal strap attached the back
of the unit (if attached).
3. Press the release button to remove the
front panel.
4. Lift the top of the outer trim ring then pull it
out to remove it.
5. Insert both of the supplied keys into the
slots at the middle left and right sides of
the unit, then pull the unit out of the
dashboard.
DIN REAR-MOUNT (Method B)
If your vehicle is a Nissan, Toyota, follow
these mounting instructions.
Use the screw holes marked T (Toyota), N
(Nissan) located on both sides of the unit
to fasten the unit to the factory radio mounting
brackets supplied with your vehicle.

Align the screw holes on the bracket with
the screw holes on the unit, and then
tighten the screws (5x5mm) on each side.

USING THE DETACHABLE FRONT PANEL
To Detach the Front Panel
1. Press the OPEN button, then the front
panel will be folded down.
2. To remove the front panel, lift it up at a little
angle from horizontal position, then
first pull out the right side and then pull out
the left side.
3. For safekeeping, store the front panel in
the supplied protective case immediately
after being removed.

To Install the Front Panel
1. To install the front panel, first insert the
left side into proper position then insert the
right side into place.

2. When the two sides fixed into place, push
the front panel into main unit.
3. Note that if the front panel fails to lock in
position properly, pressing control button
may not function and the display may be
missing some segments. Press the OPEN
button and then reinstall the front panel
again.
Precautions when handling
1. Do not drop the front panel.
2. Do not put pressure on the display or
control buttons when detaching or
reinstalling the front panel.
3. Do not touch the contacts on the front
panel or on the main unit body.
It may result in poor electrical contact.
4. If any dirt or foreign substances adhered
on the contacts, they can be removed
with a clean and dry cloth.
5. Do not expose the front panel to high
temperatures or direct sunlight in
anywhere.
6. Keep away any volatile agents (e.g.
benzene, thinner, or insecticides) from
touching the surface of the front panel.
7. Do not attempt to disassemble the front
panel.

BASIC OPERATION
SWITCHING ON/OFF THE UNIT
Press button (14) to turn on the unit.
When the unit is on, press and hold button
(14) to turn the unit off.
FACEPLATE RELEASE
Press button (2) to detach the removable
faceplate.
SOUND ADJUSTMENT


Press SEL button (1) shortly to select the
desired adjustment mode. The adjustment
mode will change in the following order:
VOL BAS TRB BAL FAD
(Volume) (Bass) (Treble) (Balance) (Fader)
By rotating the volume knob (1) clockwise or
counter-clockwise, it is possible to adjust the
desired sound quality.
SYSTEM SETTING
Press and hold SEL button (1) on the front
panel to enter system setting mode. Then
shortly press SEL button (1) to select the item
you want to change and rotate the volume
knob (1) to change the corresponding setting.
1) BEEP ALL/OFF/2ND
Use the volume knob (1) to set Beep
sound ALL, OFF or 2ND.
- BEEP 2ND mode:
The beep is only generated when all
allowed double key is pressed long (1
sec).
e.g.
When preset button (11) is pressed.
When BAND/LOUD/ENT button (3) is
pressed.
When AS/PS (D-AUD) button (20) is
pressed.
- BEEP ALL mode:
The beep is generated when every key is
pressed.
- BEEP OFF mode:
The beep is disabled.


2) AREA EUR/USA
Use the volume knob (1) to set EUR
or USA area frequency spacing.
When set AREA EUR, the button (21)
is AF function; when set AREA USA,
the button (21) has no function.


3) TA SEEK/ALARM
Use the volume knob (1) to set TA
SEEK or TA ALARM.
a) TA SEEK mode:
When newly tuned station does not
receive TP information for 5 seconds, the
radio retunes to next station which has
not the same station (PI) as the last
station, but has the TP information.
When TP information gets lost at the
current station for retune time which is set
by RETUNE SHORT or RETUNE LONG,
the radio start to retune to next same PI
station. When PI station does not catch in
one cyclic search, the radio retunes to
next station with TP information.
Note: In TA SEEK mode, the current station
can be changed to the completely different
station because the unit searches TP station
when the field(signal) strength of the current
station is very weak, or the current station has
no TP signal. (The higher priority is TP
rather than PI.)
b) TA ALARM mode
When this mode is selected, any automatic
retune mode is not activated. Only double
beep sound (ALARM) is output. So, in this
mode, the unit keeps the current station
anyhow.
(The PI priority is higher than TP.)
When newly tuned station doesnt have TP
information for 5 seconds, beeps come
out.
When TP information gets lost at the
current station for retune time, the beep
sound is output.

When newly tuned station has not ANS
signal, PI SEEK is suppressed somewhat.
4) PI SOUND/MUTE
Use the volume knob (1) to set PI
SOUND or PI MUTE.
Moving into an area where two stations
with identical AF, but different Pl code
(PI = program information) are received
destabilizes reception. In this situation
you have two options:
PI SOUND: To change stations the
other station is played for less than
one second.
PI MUTE: The other station is muted.
5) RETUNE L/S
Use the volume knob (1) to set
RETUNE L or RETUNE S.
When PI information gets lost at the
current station for retune time which is set
by RETUNE SHORT (30 sec.) or
RETUNE LONG (90 sec.), the radio start
to retune to next same PI station.
6) MASK DPI/ALL
Use the volume knob (1) to set MASK
DPI or MASK ALL.
MASK DPI mode: masked only the AF
which has Different PI (DPI). MASK ALL
mode:
masked the AF which has Different PI and
NO ANS signal with high field strength.
LOUDNESS
Press BAND/LOUD/ENT button (3) for
several seconds to reinforce the bass output
and LOUD ON will appear on the display.
Press it for several seconds again to release
this function.
DISPLAY INFORMATION
Press DISP button (19) to operate as the
conversion of each display mode.
Repeatedly press the DISP button (19), such
as the frequency, the clock, the disc
information or the PTY information will display
on the LCD.
SET THE CLOCK
Shortly press the DISP button (19) until the
clock is shown on the display. Then hold the
DISP button until the clock flashes. Then
shortly press DISP button to select minutes or
hours to adjust and rotate the volume knob (1)
to change the value.
EQUALIZATION
Press EQ button (21) shortly to turn on
equalization function and to select desired
audio mode. There are several different
modes as below:
FLAT CLASSIC POP ROCK EQ OFF

MUTE
Press MUT button (14) shortly to mute
down the sound instantly and "MUTE"
iwill appear on the display.
When MUTE ON, press the MUT
button (14) again to resume the sound.
LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY
Exhibit current frequency and active
functions on the display (7).
ESP FUNCTION
The unit can be shockproof about ten
seconds.

AUXILIARY INPUT
The unit can be connected to a portable
audio player through the auxiliary input jack
AUX IN (24) on the front panel.

Reset button (18) must be activated with
either a ballpoint pen or thin metal object.
The reset button is to be activated for the
following reasons:

wiring is completed.
- All the function buttons do not operate.
- Error symbol on the display.
If the unit doesnt work after pressing the
reset button (18), please use a cotton swab
soaked in isopropyl alcohol to clean the
socket on the front panel.

RADIO OPERATION
SWITCHING TO RADIO MODE
Press MODE button (4) shortly to select
radio mode, the radio mode appears in the
display together with the memory band and
frequency.
SELECTING THE FREQUENCY BAND
At radio mode, press BAND/LOUD/ENT
button (3) shortly to select the desired
band.
The reception band will change in the
following order:
FM1 FM2 FM3 AM (MW)

SELECTING STATION
Press the button (5) and button (6)
shortly to activate automatic seek function.
Press for several seconds until MANUAL
appears on the display, the manual tuning
mode is now selected. Then you can shortly
press the button (5) and button (6) to
adjust the frequency manually. If both buttons
have not been pressed for several seconds, it
will return to seek tuning mode.
AUTOMATIC MEMORY STORING &
PROGRAM SCANNING
- Automatic memory storing
Press AS/PS (D-AUD) button (20) for
several seconds, the radio searches from
the current frequency and checks the
signal strength until one cycle search is
finished. And then 6 strongest stations are
stored into the corresponding preset
number button.
- Program scanning
Press AS/PS (D-AUD) button (20) shortly
to scan preset station. When the field
strength level is stronger than the preset
station, the radio is held at that preset
number for several seconds, then
searches again.
STATION STORING
Press any one of the preset buttons (11) (1 to
6) to select a station, which had been stored
in the memory. Press this button for several
seconds, the current station is stored into the
number button.
ANS (ANNOUNCEMENT NAME STATION)
Alternative Frequencies (AF)
AF is an ANS (announcement name station)
searches in the background the best
frequency for the selected station.


AF
this function. AF is displayed: Function is
activated and ANS information is
received.
AF flashes: No ANS information is
received.
AF is not displayed: Function is
deactivated.
ALARM is displayed: Emergency
announcements are received. The volume
increases to the preset value.

After selecting the PTY program the unit
searches for the respective stations and
stops when a station is found. If no station
with the respective PTY genre is found, NO
PTY is displayed. The PTY function is
deactivated if the selected PTY genre is no
longer received.
When PTY ON, press PTY (22) again to
cancel the PTY function.
Traffic Announcement (TA)
TA button (21) to activate or
deactivate this mode. TA is displayed
with activated mode.
In TA mode the unit automatically tunes
from any mode into a current traffic

CD/MP3/WMA OPERATION
SWITCHING TO CD MODE
If there is no CD/MP3/WMA disc inserted into
the driver:
Gently insert the CD/MP3/WMA disc with the
printed side uppermost into the disc
compartment until you feel some resistance.
The disc will be drawn into the driver
automatically. CD/MP3/WMA playback
begins.
If a CD/MP3/WMA disc is already inserted in
the driver:
Keep pressing MODE button (4) shortly.
SELECTING TRACKS
Press button (6) or button (5) to
move to the previous track or the following
track. Track number shows on display.
Hold button (6) or button (5) to fast
reverse or fast forward. Disc play starts
from when you release the button.
PAUSING PLAY
Press PAU button (10) to pause the player.
Press it again to resume play.
PREVIEWING ALL TRACKS
Press SCN button (12) to play first few
seconds of each track on the current disc.
Press again to stop intro and listen to track.
REPEAT FUNCTION
Press RPT button (13) to continuously
repeat the same track. Press it again to
stop repeat.
When playing MP3/WMA, press RPT button
(13) to select the repeat modes among REP
ONE (repeating one track), REP DIR
(repeating the tracks of the directory) and
REP OFF.
PLAYING ALL TRACKS IN RANDOM
Press SHF button (9) to play all tracks on
CD in random order. Press again to cancel
the function.

DISC
1. SELECTING DIRECTORY UP/DOWN
Press DIR- button (8) or DIR+ button (15)
to select directory downward or upward.
If the MP3/WMA disc does not contain
any directory, there is no function of
pressing DIR- button (8) or DIR+ button
(15).
2. SELECTING TRACKS
Searching Track Directly
Press AS/PS (D-AUD) button (20) first
time. It enters into Searching track
directly in Digital Audio CD.

Use the volume knob (1) to directly select
the track number. Then press the volume
knob to start playing the track.
Searching Directory or File Name
Press AS/PS (D-AUD) button (20) two
times. It enters into Searching Directory
or File Name in Digital Audio CD.
The unit searches files and directories that
have the same character which is inputted
by the user using the volume knob.
Explain as follows:
- Use the volume knob (1) to select the
characters A to Z, blank, 0 to 9, _, -, +.
- Press SEL button (1) to confirm entry
of each characters.
- Press BAND/LOUD/ENT button (3) to
start searching.
Searching From Directory
Press AS/PS (D-AUD) button (20) three
times. The unit searches file or directory
by the volume button (1).
Select the desired directory by using the
volume button (1) and BAND/LOUD/ENT
button (3) to confirm.
If the selected title is a song, it starts to
play.
3.DISPLAY INFORMATION
Press DISP button (19) to show the following
information, such as the clock, ID3 TAG (if
available: song title, directory name, artist
name, other contents) (FOR MP3 ID3
FUNCTION VERSION ONLY) and other
information.
ESB PLAY OPERATION
On the front panel of unit, there is a ESB
interface (16), you can connect a ESB driver
through this interface.
When you connect a ESB driver through the
interface, the unit will search the MP3/WMA
files and start to play it automatically. In other
modes, you can also press MODE button (4)
to select ESB mode.
When playing the MP3/WMA files in the
device, the operation is the same with the
MP3 operation described above.

z TAKARAs auto radio CDU1253 can
support ESB driver with a capacity up to
32GB.
Use of ESB driver with higher capacity
z The main unit can only support the
standard ESB-memory disc.
z ESB MP3 player is not a standard
which means different brand name or
different models have their own
standard. So our product cannot
support all MP3 players.
z When connecting an MP3 player and it
has a normal battery in the player (non
rechargeable battery), you should
remove the battery from the MP3 player
then connect it to the ESB interface.
Otherwise, it may cause battery burst.
z When in ESB play mode, be sure not to
remove the ESB driver from the ESB
interface.

device, do not connect it to the main unit to

MEMORY CARD OPERATION
TAKARAs auto radio CDU1253 can
support memory card with a capacity up to
32GB.
The memory card interface (23) is on the
housing of the unit. When you press the
release button to fold down the front panel,
you will see the memory card interface.
When you insert a memory card in the
memory card interface, the unit will search
the MP3 files or WMA files in the card and
start to play MP3 files or WMA files
automatically.
The operation is the same with the MP3
operation described above. If in other mode,
you can also press MODE button (4) to select
memory card mode.

Before going through the checklist, check wiring connection. If any of the problems persist
after checklist has been made, consult your nearest service dealer.

Installatie
N.B:
Kies m.b.t. de plaatsing van het apparaat
een locatie waar de bestuurder bij gebruik
vanhet apparaat tijdens het rijden niet
wordt gehinderd.
Voordat U het apparaat definitief
installeert dient Uer zorg voor te dragen
dat de bedrading correct is aangesloten
en het apparaat naar behoren werkt.
Gebruik alleen de meegeleverde
onderdelen om het apparaat te installeren.
Gebruik vanandere onderdelen kan
resulteren in het ontstaanvan defecten.
g Raadpleeg uw dichtstbijzijnde dealer
wanneer ert. b.v. de installatie gaten
moeten worden geboord of uw voertuig
andere aanpassingen behoeft.
Installeer het apparaat op een plaats waar
het de bestuurder niet in de weg zit en
depassagier niet kan verwonden tijdens
een noodstop.
Wanneer de installatie de horizontale
positie met 30 graden overschrijdt is er
de mogelijkheiddat het apparaat niet
optimaal presteert.
g Vermijdt installatie op plaatsen waar het
apparaat onderhevig kan zijn aan hoge
temperaturen zoals direct zonlicht of hete
lucht uit de verwarming. Vermijdt
eveneens plaatsen waar het apparaat
onderhevig zou kunnen zijn van stof,
vuiligheid of hevige vibraties.
DINVoorzijde/Achterzijde montage
Dit apparaat kan eenvoudig worden
genstalleerd volgens het Voorzijde principe
(conventionele installatie m.b.v. een slede) of
Achterzijde principe (waarbij gebruik wordt
gemaakt
Van reeds aanwezige schroefgaten in het
chassis.Voor details m.b.t. de
installatiemethodes,zie de aanwezige
illustraties.
Verwijder de transportschroeven aan de
bovenkant voor installatie
Voordat U het apparaat gaat plaatsen dient
U deze twee schroeven te verwijderen.
DIN Voorzijde montage (Methode
A)Installatie Opening
Dit apparaat kan worden genstalleerd in
iederdashboard met een opening voorzien
van deafmetingen zoals hier aan de
rechterzijdeomschreven.
Het apparaat installeren
U dient er zorg voor te dragen dat alle
aansluitingen zijn getest voordat U de
volgendestappen gaat ondernemen en het
apparaat installeert.
1. Zorg ervoor dat het contact is
uitgeschakeld en verwijder de min
(negatief) kabel vande accu.
2. Verwijder de ISO kabel en ontkoppel de
antenne.
3. Druk de Open toets in op het

Voorpaneel/front om deze te verwijderen
(zie het hoofdstuk Gebruik van het
verwijderbare voorpaneel/front).
4. Duw de zijkantvan de buitenring naar
buiten en haal deze vervolgens naar
vorenom te verwijderen.
5. De twee meegeleverde sleutels zorgen
ervoor dat de in de autoradio aanwezige
clipsworden geopend waarna de autoradio
kan worden verwijderd uit de slede. Plaats
desleutels tot deze niet meer verder
kunnen (met de knopjes naar buitengericht)
in dehiervoor bestemde openingen in het
midden van de linker- en de rechterzijde
van hetapparaat. Schuif hierna de slede
naar de achterzijde van de autoradio.
6. Monteer de slede door deze in de opening
in het dashboard te plaatsen en buig
vervolgens de op de slede aanwezige clips
open m.b.v. een schroevendraaier. Niet alle
clips zullen contact kunnen maken.Bestudeer
dus welke het meest effectief zijn.Dit
openbuigen zorgt ervoor dat de slede in het
dashboard wordt bevestigd.
7. Sluit de ISO verbindingskabel aan en
sluit de antenne weer aan. Zorg ervoor
dat hierbijgeen bedrading of kabels
worden beschadigd.
8. Schuif het apparaat in de slede totdat
deze vast klikt.
9. Om het apparaat aan de achterzijde te
bevestigen gebruikt U de meegeleverde
metalennaapirtsednavedjiznmoedrevel
egeemedkiurbeG.pirtsde Mounting Bolt
aan de achterzijde van het apparaat te
bevestigen.Indien nodig buigt U de strip
om n en ander passend te maken.
Vervolgens gebruiktU om het andere
uiteinde van de strip tebevestigen aan
een metalen gedeelte van het voertuig
achter het dashboard. De stripzorgt
eveneens dat het apparaat op deze wijze
juist geaard is.
N.B.: Installeer op deze wijze het korte
uiteinde van de bout aan de achterzijde
van het apparaat en het lange uiteinde aan
het dashboard.
10. Bevestig de accukabel wederom aan de
Min (negatief) pool van de accu.
Plaatsvervolgens het frontframe terug
en installeer het Voorpaneel (Front) (zie
het hoofdstukGebruik van het
verwijderbare voorpaneel/ front).

Installatie
Het apparaat verwijderen
1. Zorg ervoor dat het contact uitgeschakeld
is en verwijder de min (negatief) kabel
vande accu.
2. Verwijder de metalen strip aan de
achterzijde van het apparaat (indien
gemonteerd).
3. Druk de Open toets in om het
voorpaneel/front te verwijderen.
4. Duw de bovenzijde van de buitenring naar
boven en trek deze vervolgens naar buiten
om deze te verwijderen.
5. Plaats de meegeleverde sleutels in de
hiervoor bestemde openingen in het
midden vande linker- en de rechterzijde
van het apparaat. Trek vervolgens het
apparaat uit hetdashboard.
DIN Achterzijde montage (Methode B)
Wanneer uw voertuig behoort tot het merk
Nissan of Toyota dient U de volgende
instructies te volgen m.b.t. de installatie.
Maak gebruik van de gemarkeerde
schroefgaten (T voorToyota, N voor Nissan)
aan weerszijden van het apparaat om deze te
bevestigen aan dedoor de fabrikant van uw
voertuig meegeleverde bevestigingsplaatjes.
Om het apparaat aan de meegeleverde
bevestigingsplaatjes te bevestigen zorgt U
er voor dat de schroefgaten in de
meegeleverde plaatjes gelijk komen te
liggen aan de schroefgaten op het apparaat
waarna U de schroeven aan weerszijden
kunt bevestigen.
N.B.:De buitenring,slede en metalen strip
worden bij bevestiging volgens Methode B
dus niet gebruikt.

Gebruik van het verwijderbare voorpaneel/front
HET VOORPANEEL/FRONT VERWIJDEREN
1. Druk de Open toets in. Het front klapt nu
naar beneden.
2. Om het front in zijn geheel te verwijderen,
duwt u het front iets naar
links.Trekvervolgens eerst de rechterzijde
naar buiten en hierna de linkerzijde
3. Draag er zorg voor dat het voorpaneel/front
direct na verwijdering wordt opgeborgen in
het hiervoor bestemde beschermingskoker.

Het voorpaneel/front installeren
1. Om het voorpaneel/front te installeren
plaatst U eerst de linker zijde in de juiste
positie waarna U hetzelfde doet met de
rechter zijd

2. Wanneer beide zijden op deze manier
zijn geplaatst klapt U het front naar
boven op zijn plaats.
3. Let op dat het front op de juiste manier
wordt genstalleerd teneinde de functie
toetsen op de juiste manier te kunnen
gebruiken. Indien dit niet het geval is
kunnen er enkele
bedieningssegmenten worden gemist en
kan het zijn dat de functietoetsen niet
werken. Druk in dit geval de OPEN toets
in om het voorpaneel/front nogmaals te
installeren.
Voorzorgsmaatregelen
1. Laat het voorpaneel/front niet vallen.
2. Oefen geen druk uit op het display of de
controletoetsen tijdens het verwijderen
ofinstalleren van het voorpaneel/front.
3. Vermijd contact met de kontakten op het
voorpaneel/front alsmede het apparaat
zelf. Dit kanresulteren in slecht contact.
4. De kontakten kunnen, indien bevuild,
eenvoudig gereinigd worden met een
schone,drogedoek.
5. Stel het voorpaneel/front niet bloot aan
hoge temperaturen of direct zonlicht.
6. Stel het voorpaneel/front niet bloot aan
vluchtige stoffen als benzeen, thinner
eninsectenverdelgers.
7. Laat het voorpaneel/front intact. Probeer
deze niet uit elkaar te halen

Basisfuncties
Aan-/uitzetten van de radio
Druk op de toets (14) in te schakelen op
het apparaat. Als het apparaat is
ingeschakeld, druk en houd de toets (14)
om het apparaat uit te schakelen.
Verwijderen frontje
Houd de knop ingedrukt (2) om het
afneembare frontje te verwijderen.
Geluidsvolume instellen
Druk kort op de SEL knop (1) voor het
selecteren van de gewenste afstelmodus. De
afstelmodus verandert in de volgende
volgorde:
VOL BAS TRB BAL FAD
(Volume) (Bass) (Treble) (Balance) (Fader)
Door de volumeknop (1) met de klok mee of
tegen de klok in te draaien, kan de gewenste
geluidskwaliteit afgesteld worden.
SYSTEEM INSTELLEN
Druk en houd de SEL knop (1) ingedrukt aan
het voorpaneel voor de systeem
instellingsmodus. Druk dan kort op de SEL
knop (1) om het item te selecteren dat u wilt
veranderen en draai de volumeknop (1) om
de dezelfde instelling te veranderen.



1) BEEP ALL/OFF/2ND
Hiermee kunt u de waarschuwingspiep
aan- of uitschakelen die klinkt als u de
knoppenop het display bedient.
2) AREA EUR/USA
Gebruik de volumeknop (1) om de
EUR of USA gebiedsfrequentie
ruimte in te stellen. Als de AREA
EUR is ingesteld, is de knop (21) de
AF functie; wanneer AREA wordt
ingesteld, heeft knop (21) geen
functie.

3) TA SEEK/ALARM
a) TA Seek functie:
ndien een nieuw afgestemde zender 5
seconden lang geen TP-informatie
ontvangt,schakelt de radio weer over op de
volgende zender die niet dezelfde
frequentie (PI) alsde vorige zender heeft,
maar wel over TP-informatie
beschikt.Wanneer de TP-informatie op het
huidig ingestelde station verloren gaat
tijdens hetretuneproces dat wordt
aangegeven door RETUNE SHORT of
RETUNE LONG, gaat deradio opnieuw op
zoek naar de volgende overeenkomende
PI-zender. Als deze zenderniet wordt
gevonden in de zoekcyclus, gaat de radio
zoeken naar de volgende zender
metTP-informatie.
N.B: In TA Seek stand kan de huidig
ingestelde zender worden veranderd in een
geheelandere zender omdat de radio naar
een TP-zender zoekt als de signaalsterkte
van hethuidige station erg zwak is of het
huidige station geen TP signaal heeft (de
radio geeftTP prioriteit boven PI).
b) TA Alarm functie
Als deze functie is ingeschakeld, worden de
automatische retune functies niet
gebruikt.Alleen het dubbele piepgeluid
(ALARM) is hoorbaar. In deze stand houdt de
radio de huidigingestelde zender dus altijd
vast. De IP prioriteit is hoger dan die van
TP.Als een nieuw afgestemde zender 5
seconden lang geen TP-informatie ontvangt,
zijnpiepjes hoorbaar. Wanneer de
TP-informatie op het huidig ingestelde
station verloren gaattijdens het
retuneproces, is alleen het piepgeluid
hoorbaar. Als een nieuw afgestemdezender
geen ANS signaal heeft, wordt PI SEEK
licht onderdrukt.
4) PI SOUND/MUTE
selecteren tussen SOUND or PI MUTE.

5) RETUNE L/S
Als de PI-informatie op het huidig
ingestelde station verloren gaat tijdens
het retuneprocesdat wordt aangegeven
door RETUNE SHORT (30 sec) of
RETUNE LONG (90 sec), gaatde radio
opnieuw op zoek naar de volgende
overeenkomende PI-zender.

6) MASK DPI/ALL
MASK DPI functie: alleen de AF met
Different PI (DPI) worden niet
weergegeven. MASKALL functie: de AF
met Different PI en NO ANS signaal met
hoge signaalsterkte wordenniet
weergegeven.
Extra hoog volume
Druk een paar seconden op de LOUD knop
(3) om het volume tijdelijk extra hoog
tezetten, op het LCD display verschijnt de
tekst LOUD ON. Houd hem wederom een
paarseconden ingedrukt om deze functie
weer uit te schakelen.
SCHERM INFORMATIE
Druk op de DISP (19) om te bedienen
volgens de conversie van elke
schermmodus.Druk herhaaldelijk op de DISP
knop (19), zoals de frequentie, de klok, de
diskinformatie of de PTY informatie zal op het
scherm te zien zijn.

KLOK INSTELLEN
Druk kort op de DISP knop (19) totdat de klok
op het scherm te zien is. Houd dan de DISP
klok ingedrukt totdat de klok knippert. Druk
dan kort op de DISP knop om de minuten of
uren te selecteren of stel de uren in door
met de volumeknop (1) te draaien om de
waarde te veranderen.
Equalizer
Druk op de EQ knop (21) om de
equalizerfunctie in te schakelen en de
gewensteaudioinstelling te kiezen. Er zijn

op het scherm (7).

ESP FUNCTIE
Het apparaat kan circa tien seconden
schokbestendig zijn.
AUX ingang
Op de unit kan een extern audioapparaat
worden aangesloten via de AUX IN
aansluiting (24) op het frontpaneel. Nadat de
aansluiting is voltooid kunt u met de MODE
knop (4) ophet frontpaneel naar de AUX IN
functie wisselen.
Reset functie
De RESET knop (18) dient te worden
bediend met een pen of een dun metalen
voorwerp.De RESET knop kan in de
volgende gevallen gebruikt worden:
- Eerste instelling van het apparaat nadat
alle draden zijn aangesloten
- Geen van de knoppen op het display
werkt
- Error-symbool op het display
N.B Als het indrukken van de RESET knop
(18) geen effect heeft, gebruik dan een in
isopropylalcohol gedrenkte katoenen doek
om de socket op het frontpaneel schoon te
maken.

Radiobediening
Selecteren van de frequentie
In de radiostand kunt u door het kort
indrukken van de BAND knop (3) de
gewenstefrequentie instellen. De
ontvangstband zal in deze volgorde
veranderen:
Kiezen van een radiostation
Druk kort op de knop (5&6) om de
automatische zoekfunctie in te schakelen.
Druk dezemeerdere seconden achtereen in
tot MANUAL verschijnt op het display:
nu kuntu handmatig naar een zender zoeken.
Als beide knoppen enige tijd niet worden
ingedrukt,wordt weer overgeschakeld op de
zoekfunctie.
Zendergeheugen opslaan en oproepen
- Druk de AS/PS knop (20) meerdere
seconden achtereen in tot ZOEKEN
verschijntop het display. De radio zal
vanuit de huidige frequentie gaan zoeken
en controleert designaalsterkte tot een
FM1 FM2 FM3 AM (MW)
/
zoekronde is voltooid. Daarna worden de
zes zenders met de besteontvangst
onder de gewenste voorkeuze knop
opgeslagen.
- Druk de AS/PS knop (20) kort in om de
opgeslagen zenders op te roepen uit het
geheugen.Het betreffende zendernummer
P1 tot P6 zal verschijnen op het display.
Opslaan van zenders
Gezocht een zender Druk op PRESET (11)
1 tot 6 in om een zender te selecteren die is
opgeslagen in hetgeheugen. Houd de knop
meerdere seconden ingedrukt tot een
tweede piepje klinkt, hethuidige station is
opgeslagen onder het betreffende nummer.
BEDIENING
Alternatieve frequenties (AF)

AF is een ANS (Radio Data Systeem)
functie en is alleen beschikbaar voor FM
station.
Het apparaat zoekt op de achtergrond de
beste frequentie voor het geselecteerde
station.
Druk en houd (22) om deze functie te
activeren/deactiveren. AF wordt
weergegeven:
De functie is geactiveerd en ANS informatie
is ontvangen.
AF knippert: Geen ANS informatie
ontvangen
AF niet weergegeven: Functie is
gedeactiveerd.
ALARM is weergegeven: Noodoproep
meldingen worden ontvangen. Het volume
verhoogt naar de voorgeinstelde waarde.
ANS (Announcement Name Station)
Programmatype (PTY)
Sommige FM stations zenden naast de
stationnaam ook het pro-gramma type uit.
U kunt zoeken naar stations met bepaalde
genres:
AF
Druk eenmaal op PTY (22) om de PTY
groep te selecteren.
Draai de volumeknop (1) om het PTY
programma als volgt te selecteren:

CD/MP3/WMA BEDIENING
Overschakelen naar CD functie
Wanneer er geen CD/MP3/WMA schijf is
ingevoerd in de speler:
Voer voorzichtig eenCD/MP3/WMA schijf
met de bedrukte zijde aan de bovenkant in
de speler in tot u enigeweerstand voelt. De
schijf zal vervolgens automatisch in de
speler worden getrokken.CD/MP3/WMA
weergave begint.
Wanneer reeds CD/MP3/WMA schijf is
ingevoerd in de speler:
Houd de MODE knop (4) kort ingedrukt.
Kiezen van nummers
Druk kort op om naar het vorige
of volgende nummer over te schakelen.
Hetbetreffende nummer zal worden
weergegeven op het display.
Houd de knop ingedrukt om
voor- of achteruit te spoelen op de cd. Het
afspelenzal verdergaan op het moment dat
u deze knop loslaat.
Afspelen pauzeren
Druk op de PAU knop (10) om de CD
weergave te onderbreken.
Het apparaat zoekt, na het selecteren van het
PTY programma, naar de respectievelijke
stations en stopt wanneer een station is
gevonden. Als geen station met de
respectievelijke PTY genre is gevonden,
wordt NO PTY weergegeven. De PTY
functie is gedeactiveerd als het geselecteerde
PTY genre niet meer wordt ontvangen.
Wanneer PTY aanstaat, druk dan nog
een keer op PTY (22) om de PTY functie
te annuleren.
Verkeersmelding (TA)
Druk en houd TA knop (21) om deze
modus te activeren of te deactiveren. TA
wordt met geactiveerde modus
weergegeven.
In TA modus stemt het apparaat
automatisch van elke modus in aktuele
verkeersmeldingen. Het geluidsniveau
verhoogt naar het minmaal niveau voor
verkeersmeldingen.
Druk en houd (21) tijdens een
verkeersmelding om de functie te
onderbreken zonder het te deactiveren.

Druk op de DIR- knop (8) of DIR+ knop
(15) om een vorige of volgend menu te
kiezen.Als de CD/MP3/WMA schijf geen
menus bevat, heeft het indrukken van de
genoemdeknoppen geen effect.
2. Selecteren van nummers
Zoeken track direct
Druk op AS / PS (D-AUD) toets (20)
voor een tijd. Het treedt in "Zoeken track
direct" in digitale audio-cd. Het toestel
zoekt de track geselecteerd door het
volgen door volume knop.
Zoeken Directory of Bestandsnaam
Druk op AS / PS (D-AUD) toets (20)
voor twee keer. Het treedt in "Op zoek
Directory of File Name" in digitale
audio-cd.
- Het toestel zoekt bestanden en
mappen die hetzelfde karakter dat
wordt ingevoerd door de gebruiker
op de volume knop.
Leg uit als volgt:
- Gebruik de bijbehorende toetsen om de
letters A tot Z, blanco, 0 tot 9, _, -, +.
- Druk op SEL knop (1) om te bevestigen
boeking van elke karakters.

interface aansluit, zal hetapparaat de
MP3-bestanden of WMA-bestanden in de
ESB-driver doorzoeken en
automatischbeginnen om deze af te
spelen.Als het apparaat in een andere
modus staat, kunt u ook op de MODE knop
(4) drukken ende ESB-functie selecteren.
Vervolgens kunt u de bestanden op
dezelfde wijze afspelen alshierboven
beschreven.
N.B.:


TAKARAs autoradio CDU1253 kan een
ESB driver ondersteunen met een
capaciteit op tot 32GB. Het gebruik ESB
driver met hogere capaciteit kan het
apparaat beschadigen.

Als u een geheugen Kaart in de geheugen

kaart zoeken en automatisch beginnen om
deze af tespelen.

bestanden verloren kunnen gaan.En hiervoor
kan ons bedrijf niet aansprakelijk worden
gesteld.
ESB MP3-speler is geen standaard,
zodat andere merknamen of andere
modellen huneigen standaaANS
hebben. Zodoende kan ons product niet
elke MP3-speler ondersteunen
Als u een MP3-speler aansluit en er een
normale batterij in dit apparaat zit (geen
oplaadbarebatterij) is het aan te bevelen
om de batterij uit het apparaat te halen en
hem daarna opde ESB-interface aan te
sluiten. Anders zou de batterij kapot
kunnen knappen.

Let op de volgende zaken om het goed
afspelen te ondersteunen:
a: Gebruik CD-RWs met snelheid 1x tot 4x en
brandt met snelheid 1x tot 2x.
b. Gebruik CD-Rs met snelheid 1x tot 8x en
brandt met snelheid 1x tot 2x.
c. Speel geen CD-RWs af die meer dan 5
keer zijn overschreven.

Inauzitutto assieurarsi che il motore sia
spento e quindi seguire la procedura
sottoindicata per installare l'unit.
1. Assicurarsi che il motore sia spento, quindi
scollegare il cavo sel polo negativo(-) della
batteria.
2. Scollegare icavi e l'antenna.
3. Premere il pulsante di rilascio del frontalino
(vedere "utilizzare il frontalino estraibile").
4. Sollevare la parte superiore della cornice di
fissaggio esterna. E tirare

5. Le due chiavi fornite permettono di sbloccare
le linquette au'interno della griglia e di
poterldtogliere.
Inserire le chiavi (con la parte scolpita
rivolta verso l'alto) nelle speciali fessure
situate al centro del lato destro e sinistro
del l' unita. Quindi, far scorrere la griclia fuori,
dalla parte posteriore del l'unita.
6.
7. Ricollegare i cavi e l'antenna e fare
attenzione a non schiacciare fili o cavi.
8. Far scorrere l'unit nella griglla fino alla totale
introduzione.
9. Per fissare l'unit, utilizzare la stanghetta
in metallo fornita per fissare il retro del l'unit
al crusgotto. Usare il materiale in dotazion
(dado esagonale (M5mm) e rondella)
per collegare una
sulla parte posteriore del veicolo. se
necessario, piegare il metallo della stanghetta
adattare l'area di montaggio del veicolo.

10. Ricollegare il cavo al polo negativo (-)

INSTALLAZIONE
1. Assicurarsi che il motoresia spento,
quindi scollegare il cavo dal polo negatino
(-) della batteria.
2. Rimuovere la stangheta in metallo attaccata
al retro dell'unit (se collegata).
3. Premere il tasto di rilascio per rimuovere il
frontalino.
4. Sollevare la parte superiore della cornice
esterna di fissaggio etirare verso l'esterno
per rimuoverla.
5. Inserire entrambe le chiavi fornite, nelle
fessure al centro del lato destro e sinistro
dell 'unit, poi tirare fuori l'unit dal cruscotto.
Se il veicolo una Nissan, Toyota, seguire
queste istruzioni di montaggio: Utilizzare i fori
per le viti segnate T (Toyota), N (Nissan) che si
trovano su entrambi i lati dell'unit per fissarla
alle, staffe di montaggio

UTILIZZO DEL FRONTALINO ESTRAIBILE
Per staccare il frontalino
1. Premere il tasto OPEN, il
frontalino sar rilasciato.
2. Per rimuovere il frontalino
sollevaro leggernente, poi tirare verso
l'esterno, il lato destro, poi il sinistro.
3. Mettere il frontalino nella
custodia susitoduio la rimozione.

Per installare il frontalino
1. Per installare il frontalino, inserire
prima il lato sinistro in posizione corretta
quindi il lato destro. .

2. Quando i due lati sono fissati,
il premere il frontalino sull'unit
principale.
3. Nel caso in cui il frontalino non sia
stato messo nella posizione corretta,
premendo il pulsante di controllo potrebbe
non accadere nulla e alcuni segmenti
potrebberc non essere visualizzati sul display.

2. Non esercitare pressione sul display o sui
pulsanti di controllo durante la rimozione o
l'installazione del frontalino.
3. Non toccare i contatti sul frontalino

4. Se sporcizia o sostanze estranee
aderiscono ai contatti, possono essere
rimossi con un panno pulito e asciutto.
5. Non esporre il frontalino a

6. Tenere lontano eventuali agenti volatili
(ad esempio il benzene, diluenti, o
insetticidi) dalla superficie del

Premere il pulsante SEL (1) per selezionare
la modalita d`impostazione desiderata. La
modalita di regolazione verra modificata nel

senso orario oppure in senso anti-orario, e

IMPOSTAZIONI DEL SISTEMA
Tenere premuto il pulsante SEL (1) sul
frontalino per entrare nella modalita
d`impostazione del sistema. Premere quindi il
pulsante SEL (1) per selezionare la voce
desiderata e ruotare la manopola (1) per
modificare le impostazioni.



1) BEEP ALL/OFF/2ND
Per attivare il segnale acustico on / off
quando si premono i pulsanti sul pannello
frontalino.
2) AREA EUR/USA
Utilizzare la manopola (1) per
selezionare la frequenza relativa
all`area EUR oppure USA.
Quando viene impostata la voce
AREA EUR, il pulsante (21) entra in
funzione AF; quando viene
impostata la voce AREA USA, il
pulsante (21) rimane inattivo.


3) TA SEEK/ALARM
Quando una nuova stazione sintonizzata
non riceve informazioni TP per 5 secondi,
la radio ricerca un'altra stazione, diversa,
ha della quale capta correttamente il
segnale TP.
Quando l'apparecchio, durante l'ascolto di
una stazione, perde il segnale TP, percorre
un altra frequenza su cui questa stessa
stazione puo emettere e quindi il segnale p
sara captato se dupo un ciclo completo di
ricerca quest'altra frequenza non viene truata,
l'apparecchio cerca un'altra frequenza su cui il

stazione. In questo modo la priorit data
a PTY rispetto a TP. Quando l'unit viene
sintonizzatolsu una stazione che non ha il
segnale TP, in 5 secondi viene emesso un
"BIP".
Se dopo la perdita del segnale TP, se la radio
ha trovato un'altra stazione con questo
segnale, si ode io stesso "BIP".

L'unit pu essere collegata ad un lettore
audio portatile tramite il jack AUX IN (24) sul
frontalino. Dopo aver terminato la
connessione, possibile premere il pulsante
la modalit AUX IN.

g Whlen Sie eine Montageposition, in der
das Gert nicht die normalen
Bedienvorgnge des Fahrers beim
Fahren beeintrchtigt
g Stellen Sie vor der endgltigen Installation
des Gertes vorbergehend die
elektrischen Anschlsse her und prfen
Sie, ob alle richtig verbunden sind sowie
das Gert und das System richtig
funktionieren.
Verwenden Sie, um die richtige Installation
zu gewhrleisten, nur die dem Gert
beiliegenden Bauteile. Der Einsatz nicht
zugelassener Teile kann zu
Funktionsstrungen fhren.

das Herstellen von Bohrungen oder
andere Vernderungen am Fahrzeug

Installieren Sie das Gert in einer Position,
in der es den Fahrer nicht behindert und
der Beifahrer bei einer pltzlichen
Bremsung, wie bei einer Notbremsung,
nicht verletzt wird.

DIN-MONTAGE VON VORDER -/
RCKSEITE
Dieses Gert kann sowohl von vorn
(herkmmliche Montage von der
Vorderseite) oder hinten (DIN-Installation
zur Montage von der Rckseite unter
Verwendung der Bohrungen fr
Gewindeschrauben seitlich des
Gertegehuses) richtig installiert werden.
Fr weitere Details siehe in den
nachfolgenden Installationshinweisen.

INSTALLATION
Entfernen Sie vor der Installation des
Gertes bitte die Schrauben.

Installationsffnung
Dieses Gert kann in einem beliebigen
Armaturenbrett installiert werden, dass ber
eineffnung mit den folgenden

INSTALLIERUNG
1. Vergewissern Sie sich, dass der Motor
ausgeschaltet ist, und lsen Sie danndas
Kabel vom Minuspol (-) der Batterie.
2. Lsen Sie die Kabelstrnge und die
Antenne.
3. Bettigen Sie die Freigabetaste auf der
Frontplatte und nehmen Sie dasBedienfeld
ab (siehe unter Gebrauch der
abnehmbaren Frontplatte).
4. Heben Sie den oberen Teil des ueren
Abschlussrahmens an und ziehen Sieihn
nach auen, um ihn zu entfernen.
5. Mit den beiden beiliegenden Schlsseln
knnen die Nasen im Gertegehuse gelst
werden,so dass dieses entfernt werden
kann. Schieben Sie die Schlssel so weit
wie mglich (sodass die Kerben nach oben
zeigen) in die Schlitze in der Mitte der linken
und rechtenGerteseite hinein. Schieben
Sie dann das Gehuse nach hinten vom
Gert.
6. Montieren Sie das Gehuse durch
Einschieben in die ffnung im
Armaturenbrettund biegen Sie die rund um
das Gehuse angeordneten Nasen mit
einemSchraubendreher auf. Nicht alle Nasen
werden jedoch greifen, prfen Siedeshalb,
welche davon am zweckdienlichsten sind.
Biegen Sie die geffnetenNasen hinter das
Armaturenbrett, um das Gehuse zu
befestigen.
7.Schlieen Sie den Kabelstrang und die
Antenne wieder an und achten Sie darauf,
keine Drhte oder Kabel zu quetschen.
8. Lassen Sie das Gert in das Gehuse
gleiten, so dass es einrastet.
9. Verwenden Sie zu einer weiteren
Befestigung des Gertes den
beiliegenden Metallbgel, um das Gert
auf der Rckseite zu befestigen.
Benutzen Sie die beiliegen den Bauteile
(Sechskantmutter (M5mm) und
Federunterlegscheibe) zum Anbringen
des einen Bgelendes an der
Montageschraube auf der Gerterckseite.
Biegen Sie den Metallbgel
gegebenenfalls, so dass er in den
Montagebereich in Ihrem Fahrzeug passt.
Benutzen Sie die beiliegenden Bauteile
(Blechschraube -5 x25 mm und glatte
Unterlegscheibe) zum Anbringen des
anderen Endes des Metallbgels an
einem festen Metallelement des
Fahrzeugs unter dem
Armaturenbrett .Dieser Bgel sorgt auch
fr die Gewhrleistung einer
angemessenen Erdung des Gertes.
Hinweis: Installieren Sie die
Montageschraube mit kurzem Gewinde
auf der Rckseite des Gertes und die

anderem itlangem Gewinde am
Armaturenbrett.
10. Schlieen Sie das Kabel wieder am
Minuspol (-) der Batterie an. Bringen Sie
dann den ueren Abschlussrahmen
wieder an und setzen Sie die Frontplatte
des Gertes ein (siehe unter Gebrauch
der abnehmbaren Frontplatte)..
AusbaudesGerts
1. Vergewissern Sie sich, dass der
Motorausgeschaltet ist, und lsen Sie dann
das Kabel vom Minuspol (-) der Batterie
2. Entfernen Sie den auf der Rckseite des
Gertes angebrachten Metallbgel (wenn
vorhanden).
3. Bettigen Sie die Freigabetaste, um die
Frontplatte abzunehmen.
4. Heben Sie den oberen Teil des ueren
Abschlussrahmens an und ziehen Sie ihn
nach auen, um ihn zu entfernen.
5. Fgen Sie beide beiliegenden Schlssel in
die Schlitze in der Mitte auf der linken und
rechten Seite des Gertes ein und ziehen
Sie das Gert dann aus dem
Armaturenbrett.
DIN-INSTALLATION VON DER
RCKSEITE (Methode B)
Sollte Sie ein Auto von Nissan oder Toyota
besitzen, beachten Sie bitte die
folgendenMontagehinweise.
Verwenden Sie die mit T (fr Toyota) oder
N (fr Nissan) markierten Bohrungen frdie
Schrauben, die sich beidseitig des Gertes
befinden, um dieses an denserienmigen
Befestigungsbgeln Ihres Fahrzeugs
anzubringen.
Befestigung des Gertes an den
serienmigen Befestigungsbgeln fr das
Radio. Bringen Sie die Bohrungen fr die
Schrauben am Bgel mit denen am Gert
inbereinstimmung und ziehen Sie dann
die Schrauben (5x5 mm) auf beiden
Seitenfest
Hinweis: Der uere Abschlussrahmen,
das Gehuse und der Metallbgelkommen
bei Installationen nach Methode B nicht
zum Einsatz.

GEBRAUCH DER ABNEHMBAREN FRONTPLATTE
Abnehmen der Frontplatte
1. Bettigen Sie die Taste OPEN, wodurch
die Frontplatte nach unten klappt.
2. Heben Sie die Frontplatte, um sie
abzunehmen, leicht an und ziehen Sie
zuerstdie rechte und dann die linke Seite
nach auen.
3. Bewahren Sie die Frontplatte zur
Sicherheit sofort nach dem Abnehmen in
derbeiliegenden Schutzhlle auf.

AnbringenderFrontplatte
1. Lassen Sie zum Anbringen der Frontplatte
zuerst die linke und dann die rechte Seite in
der entsprechenden Position einrasten.

2. Drcken Sie, wenn die beiden Seiten
eingerastet sind, die Frontplatte auf das
Hauptgert.
3. Beachten Sie, dass wenn die Frontplatte
nicht richtig einrastet, die Bettigung der
Bedientasten unter Umstnden
wirkungslos ist und auf dem Display
einige Segmente nicht angezeigt werden.
Bettigen Sie die Taste OPEN und
bringen Sie die Frontplatte erneut an.
Vorsichtsmanahmen beim Umgang mit
der Frontplatte
1. Lassen Sie die Frontplatte nicht fallen.
2. ben Sie whrend des Abnehmens oder
Anbringens der Frontplatte keinen Druck
auf das Display oder auf die
Bedientasten aus.
3. Berhren Sie nicht die Kontakte an der
Frontplatte oder am Hauptgert. Dadurch
kann es zu schlechten elektrischen
Kontakten kommen.
4. Wenn Schmutz oder Fremdkrper an
den Kontakten haften, knnen diese mit
einem sauberen und trockenenT
uchentfernt werden.
5. Setzen Sie die Frontplatte keinen hohen
Temperaturen oder direktem Sonnenlicht
aus.
6. Verhindern Sie ein Auftreffen flchtiger
Stoffe (z.B. Benzen, Verdnnung oder
Insektizide) auf der Oberflche der
Frontplatte.
7. Versuchen Sie nicht, die Frontplatte zu
zerlegen.

Grundlegende Bedienung
Ein-/Ausschalten des Gertes
Drcken Sie die Taste (14) um das Gert
einzuschalten. Wenn das Gert eingeschaltet

Durch das Drehen des Lautstrkeknopfs (1)
im Uhrzeigersinn oder gegen den
Uhrzeigersinn ist es mglich, die gewnschte

SYSTEMEINSTELLUNG
Halten Sie die SEL-Taste (1) gedrckt auf
dem Bedienfeld, um in den
Systemeinstellmodus zu gelangen. Dann
drcken Sie die SEL-Taste (1) kurz um den
zu ndernden Punkt auszuwhlen, und
drehen Sie den Lautstrkeknopf (1), um die
entsprechende Einstellung zu ndern.

1) BEEP ALL/OFF/2ND

2) AREA EUR/USA
Mit dem Lautstrkeknopf (1) stellen
Sie EUR- oder
USA-Gebietfrequenzintervall ein.
Wenn EUR-GEBIET eingestellt ist,
hat die Taste (21) AF-Funkiton; wenn
USA-GEBIET eingestellt ist, hat die
Taste (21) keine Funktion.
3) TA SEEK/ALARM
a) TA SEEK Modus:
Wenn ein neu gewhltes Programm keine
TP Information fr mehr als 5 Sekunden
erhlt,geht das Radio automatisch zum
nchsten Programm ber, welches nicht
denselbenSender (Pl) hat, aber die selbe
TP Information.Wenn die TP Information
fr eine gewisseZeit verloren geht bei
dem aktuellen Sender, welcher
gekennzeichnte ist mit RETUNESHORT
(Kurz) und RETUNE LONG (Lang), so
geht das Radio zum nchsten selben
PlSender ber. Wenn der Pl Sender in
einem Suchcyklus nicht erreicht wird, so
geht dasRadio ber zum nchsten Sender
mit TP Information.
Hinweis: IM TA SEEK Modus kann der
aktuelle Sender in einen komplett
anderenumgetauscht werden,weil das Radio
einen TP Sender sucht, wenn das
Feldsignal oderdie Feldstrke sehr schwach
ist, oder der aktuelle Sender kein TP Signal
hat.(Die hherePrioritt liegt beim TP, als
beim Pl.)
b) TA ALARM Modus
Wenn dieser Modus ausgewhlt ist, ist
jegliche andere automatische
Sendereinstellunginaktiviert. Man hrt
lediglich einen doppelten Beep Ton
(ALARM). Somit, in diesem Modus,wird
der aktuelle Sender bewahrt. (Die
hhere Prioritt liegt bei Pl, als beim
TP).Wenn ein neu gesuchter Sender
keine TP Information fr 5 Sekunden
hat, ertnen BeepTne. Wenn die TP
Information verloren geht beim
aktuellen Sender, so setzt der BeepTon
aus. Wenn ein neu gesuchter Sender
kein ANS Signal hat,wird PI
SEEK unterdrckt.
4) PI SOUND/MUTE

alle AF mit unterschiedlicher Pl und
keinem ANS Signalmit hoher Ferldstrke
Lautstrke
Drcken Sie die LOUD Taste (3) fr einige
Sekunden um die Laut-strkefunktion
einzuschalten; LOUD ON wird auf dem LCD
Erscheinen. Drecken Sie die Taste erneut
frwenige Sekunden um diese Funktion zu
beenden.
DISPLAY-INFORMATION
Drcken Sie die DISP-Taste (19), um als
Umwandlung von jedem Anzeigemodus zu
arbeiten. Drcken Sie die DISP-Taste (19)
wiederholt, wird die Frequenz, die Uhr, die
Disk-Information oder die PTY-Information
auf dem LCD-Display erscheinen.
UHREINSTELLUNG
Drcken Sie die DISP-Taste (19) kurz bis die
Uhr auf dem Display erscheint. Dann halten
die Sie DISP-Taste gedrckt bis die Uhr
blinkt. Dann drcken Sie die DISP-Taste
kurz um Minute oder Stunde auszuwhlen
und drehen Sie den Lautstrkeknopf (1) um
den Wert zu ndern.
Schwankungsrckstellung
Drcken Sie die EQ (21) Taste um die
Funktion einzuschalten und den
gewnschten AudioModus einzu-stellen. Es
gibt 5 Modi wie unten angegeben:
FLAT CLASSIC POP ROCK EQ OFF

STUMM
Sie die MUT-Taste (14), um den Ton
sofort zu dmpfen, und das Zeichen
MUTE wird auf dem Display erscheinen.
Wenn Stumm eingeschaltet ist, drcken
Sie die MUT-Taste (14) erneut, um
den Ton wiederzuherstellen.
FLSSIGKRISTALLANEIGE
Dies zeigt aktuelle Frequenz und aktive
Funktionen auf dem Display (7).

ESP-FUNKTION
Das Gert kann stofest fr ca. zehn
Sekunden sein.
Auxiliary Eingang
An das Gert kann ber die AUX IN
Buchse (24) auf dem Frontteil ein tragbarer
AudioPlayer angeschlossen werden
Wenn Sie beide Gerte miteinander
verbunden haben,drcken Sie die MODE (4)
Taste auf dem Frontteil um in den AUX IN
Modus zu wechseln.
RESET FUNKTION
Die Reset (18) Taste muss mit einem
Kugelschreiber oder dnnen Metallteil
Aktiviertwerden. Die Reset Taste soll aus
folgenden Grnden aktiviert werden:
- Erstinstallation des Gerts nachdem alle
Kabel komplett vernetzt sind
- Wenn keine der Tasten mehr funktioniert

Drcken Sie eine beliebige Taste von (1-6)
um ein Programm auszuwhlen,

Drcken Sie die Taste einige Sekunden (bis
ein 2tes Signalertnt), dann ist das
gewhlte Programm unter der gewhlten
Tastennummer gespeichert.

BEDIENUNG
Alternative Frequenzen (AF)
AF ist eine ANS (Announcement name
station)-Funktion und ist nur vorhanden fr
FM-Sender. Das Gert sucht im
Hintergrund die Bestfrequenz fr den
ausgewhlten Sender.
Halten Sie die AF-Taste (22), um
diese Funktion zu
aktivieren/deaktivieren. AF ist
angezeigt: Funktion ist aktiviert und
ANS-Information ist empfangen.
AF blinkt: Keine ANS-Information ist
empfangen.
AF ist nicht angezeigt: Funktion ist
deaktiviert.
ALARM ist angezeigt: Notdurchsagen sind
empfangen. Die Lautstrke steigt auf den
voreingestellten Wert.
Programmtyp (PTY)
Bestimmte FM-Sender senden neben
Sendername auch den Programmtyp. Sie
knnen nach Sender mit bestimmten
Gattungen suchen.
ANS (Announcement Name Station)
Drcken Sie die PTY-Taste (22) einmal,
um die PTY-Gruppe auszuwhlen.
Drehen Sie den Lautstrkeknopf (1), um
das PTY-Programm auszuwhlen wie
folgt:
NEWS, AFFAIRS, INFO, SPORT,
EDUCATE, DRAMA, CULTURE,
SCIENCE, VARIED, POP M, ROCK M,
EASY M, LIGHT M, CLASSICS, OTHER
M, WEATHER, FINANCE, CHILDREN,
SOCIAL, RELIGION, PHONE IN, TRAVEL,
LEISURE, JAZZ, COUNTRY, NATION M,
OLDIES, FOLK M, DOCUMENT, TEST,
ALARM.

FUNKTIONSWEISE
Nach Auswahl von PTY-Programm sucht das
Gert nach jeweiligem Sender und stoppt,
wenn ein Sender gefunden ist. Wenn kein
Sender mit jeweiliger PTY-Gattung gefunden
ist, wird das Zeichen NO PTY auf dem
Display erscheinen. Die PTY-Funktion ist
deaktiviert, wenn die ausgewhlte
PTY-Gattung nicht mehr empfangen ist.
Wenn PTY eingeschaltet ist, drcken Sie
die PTY-Taste (22) erneut, um die
PTY-Funktion abzubrechen.
Verkehrsdurchsage (TA)
Halten Sie die TA-Taste (21), um
diesen Modus zu aktivieren oder
deaktivieren. Bei aktiviertem Modus wird
Verkehrsdurchsage angezeigt.
Im Verkehrsdurchsage-Modus wird das
Gert automatisch von jedem Modus in eine
aktuelle Verkehrsdurchsage eingestellt. Das
Lautstrke-Niveau steigt auf den
Minimum-Wert fr Verkehrsdurchsage.
Whrend einer Verkehrsdurchsage
halten Sie die TA-Taste (21), um die
Funktion zu unterbrechen, ohne da
sie deaktiviert ist.
CD/MP3/WMA Bedienung
Umschalten in den CD Modus
Wenn keine CD in das Laufwerk eingelegt
ist :
Legen Sie vorsichtig die CD/MP3/WMA CD
mit der beschrifteten Seite nach oben in
dasCD Laufwerk ein, bis Sie geringen
Widerstand spren. Die CD wird dann
automatischin das,Laufwerk eingezogen. Die
CD/MP3/WMA Wiedergabe beginnt.
Wenn bereits eine CD/MP3/WMA in das
Laufwerk eingelegt ist:
Drcken Sie die MODE (4) Taste kurz.
Titelauswahl
Drcken Sie / (5&6) , so wird der
nchste/ vorherige Titel ausgewhlt. Die
Titelnummerwird auf dem Display
angezeigt.
Drcken und halten Sie (5&6), so wird
der Titel vor-/zurckgespult. Die CD
wirdabgespielt, wenn Sie Taste loslassen.
Unterbrechen (PAUSE) des Abspielens
Drcken Sie die PAU (10) Taste um den
Abspielvorgang zu unterbrechen.
Sie diese Taste erneut um das Abspielen
fortzusetzen.

Notas:
Instale el aparato en un lugar que no
interfiera con la posicin del conductor.
Antes de instalar definitivamente el
aparato conecte los cables de forma
temporal y compruebe que funciona
correctamente.
En la instalacin, utilice nicamente los
componentes suministrados con el
aparato. La utilizacin de otro tipo de
componentes pueden ser causa de un mal
funcionamiento.
En caso de tener que realizar algn tipo
de modificacin en su vehculo (agujeros,
etc.) para la instalacin de este aparato,
consulte antes con su vendedor ms
cercano.
Instale el aparato en un sitio donde no
pueda causar daos a los ocupantes del
vehculo en caso de una maniobra brusca,
como una frenada de emergencia.
Si el ngulo de instalacin excede los 30
con la horizontal, es posible que el
aparato no funcione correctamente.
No instale el aparato donde pueda estar
sometido a altas temperaturas, como la
luz directa del sol o la salida de la
calefaccin, ni en lugares con mucho
polvo, suciedad o donde est sometido a
fuertes vibraciones.
Este aparato puede ser montado tanto de
forma Frontal (montaje DIN-Frontal
convencional) o de forma Trasera
(montaje DIN-Trasero, utilizando las
roscas situadas el los laterales del chasis
del aparato).
PREVIO A LA INSTALACIN
Retire los dos tornillos situados en la parte
superior del aparato antes de instalar la
unidad. Solo sirven para proteger el lector
durante el transporte.

INSTALACIN DIN FRONTAL
Para poder instalar este aparato hace falta
que el salpicadero tenga una abertura con
las siguientes dimensiones:
1. Compruebe que todas las conexiones
de los cables estn correctamente
realizadas (ver el apartado Conexin
de los cables).
2. Asegrese de que el vehculo est
apagado, y a continuacin desconecte
el cable del terminal negativo (-) de la
batera.
3. Pulse el botn de liberacin (OPEN) del
panel frontal y retrelo (ver el apartado
Manejo del panel frontal).
4. Presiones en los laterales del marco
embellecedor (tiene unas pestaas) y
retrelo.

5. Inserte las dos llaves de extraccin
(suministradas con el aparato) hasta el
fondo (con las muescas hacia arriba) en
las ranuras situadas en los laterales del
aparato. Una vez realizado, retire la faja
de montaje fuera de la unidad.
6. Introduzca la faja de montaje en la
abertura del salpicadero y doble hacia
fuera las pestaas de la faja de montaje
con un destornillador para fijarla al
salpicadero.
7. Conecte los cables y la antena.
8. Deslice hasta el fondo la unidad dentro de
la f aja de montaje.
9. Vuelva a conectar el cable del terminal
negativo (-) de la batera. Coloque el marco
embellecedor e instale el panel frontal de la
unidad (ver el apartado Manejo del panel
frontal)
PARA SACAR LA UNIDAD DEL
SALPICADERO
1. Asegrese de que el vehculo est
apagado, y a continuacin desconecte
el cable del terminal negativo (-) de la
batera.
2. Libere la unidad de la tira metlica
trasera (si est atornillada).
3. Desconecte los cables y la antena de la
parte posterior de la unidad.
4. Retire el panel frontal de la unidad (ver el
apartado Manejo del panel frontal).
5. Retire el marco embellecedor (como se
explic anteriormente).
Introduzca hasta el fondo las llaves de
extraccin en las ranuras laterales (con
las muescas hacia arriba) y extraiga la
unidad fuera del salpicadero.

To Detach the Front Panel
1. Pulse el botn OPEN y el panel frontal se
abrir para extraerlo.
2. Para retirar el panel frontal presinelo un
poco hacia la derecha para liberar el
resalte, y a continuacin tire suavemente
del lado izquierdo hacia el frente hasta
sacarlo.
3. Por seguridad, guarde el panel frontal en
su estuche inmediatamente despus de
retirarlo.

To Install the Front Panel
1. Para insertar el panel frontal introduzca
primero el eje del lado izquierdo en su

estacin actual se puede cambiar

actual no tiene "TP" de la seal. (La mayor
prioridad es TP en lugar de PI.)

Esta unidad incorpora un Procesador
Digital de Seales (Digital Signal

Cada una de ellas posee la ecualizacin

ENTRADA AUXILIAR DE AUDIO
Esta unidad puede ser conectada a un
reproductor externo de audio porttil, para
lo cual usted deber conectarlo usando un
cable provisto con un jack (24) de 3,5mm
estreo. Para seleccionar esta entrada p,
pulse el botn de MODE y en el Display se
mostrar AUX IN indicando que esta
entrada est seleccionada.
REINICIO DEL SISTEMA
Aunque no sea una circunstancia normal, el
micro-procesador que controla esta unidad
(semejante al de los ordenadores) puede ser
afectado por cargas electrostticas,

Se debe reiniciar el sistema cuando se
produzca alguno de los siguientes sucesos:
- Cuando acabe de instalar la unidad por
primera vez.
- Cuando los botones no respondan.
Cuando aparezca un mensaje de error en
la pantalla.
Nota: Si al pulsar el botn de reinicio la
unidad no funciona, limpie las conexiones
entre el panel frontal y la unidad principal con
un trapo mojado en alcohol isoproplico.

CAMBIAR A MODO RADIO ( MODE)
Pulse el botn MODE para seleccionar el
modo radio.
SELECTOR DE BANDAS( BAND)
Pulse brevemente el botn BAND (3) para
seleccionar la banda deseada.
Cada pulsacin cambiar la banda segn la
siguiente secuencia:
Sintona manual
Pulse uno de los botones de sintona y
mantngalo pulsado ligeramente hasta
que aparezca en pantalla el mensaje
MANUAL. Pulse de nuevo en la
direccin deseada hasta alcanzar una
frecuencia prxima a la estacin buscada.
Ajuste la frecuencia mediante pulsaciones
cortas.
Nota: La unidad retorna automticamente a
modo de sintona automtica despus de
varios segundos de inactividad en el botn
de sintona, apareciendo el mensaje
AUTO en pantalla.

AUTOMEMORIA (AS/PS)
Esta unidad puede almacenar de forma
automtica hasta 18 emisoras en la
banda FM (6 en FM1, 6 en FM2 y 6 en
FM3) y 6 emisoras en la banda MW (AM).
Para ello sitese en la banda deseada
(FM o MW). Pulse el botn (AS/PS)
(20)durante unos instantes, y la unidad
comenzar a buscar, y posteriormente
almacenar en las posiciones de memoria,
las emisoras ms potentes de la
zona.Program scanning
- Una vez realizado el almacenamiento se
realizar un chequeo del mismo. Para
detener este chequeo, pulse de nuevo el
botn (As/Ps) . Para iniciar de nuevo el
chequeo, plselo de nuevo.
Para recuperar las estaciones
memorizadas, presione los botones
P1~P6.
Nota: Las emisoras que estn previamente
almacenadas el las memorias son eliminadas
al pulsar el botn de auto memoria.
Siempre que desee chequear las estaciones
memorizadas puede pulsar brevemente
AS/PS y la unidad escanear las emisoras
en memorias detenindose unos segundos
en cada una.
Frecuencias Alternativas(AF)
AF es una funcin de ANS y
lslo est disponible para las estaciones de
FM. La unidad busca en el fondo la mejor
frecuencia para la emisora seleccionada.

Algunas estaciones de FM transmiten,
adems del nombre de la estacin,
tambin el tipo del programa. Usted
puede buscar emisoras con ciertos
gneros.

Presione PTY (22) para seleccionar el
grupo de PTY.
Gire el botn de volumen (1) para
seleccionar el programa de PTY como
sigue:

Despus de seleccionar el programa de
PTY, la unidad busca las respectivas
estaciones y se detiene cuando se
encuentra una estacin. Si no se encuentra
la estacin con el gnero de PTY respectiva,
"NO PTY" se muestra. La funcin de PTY se
desactiva si el gnero de PTY seleccionado
ya no se recibe.
Al encenderse el PTY, presione PTY (22)
de nuevo para cancelar la funcin de
PTY.
Anuncio de Trfico (TA)
TA (21) para activar o
desactivar este modo. TA se reproduce
con el modo activado.
En el modo TA la unidad sintoniza
automticamente de cualquier modo a un
anuncio de trfico actual. El nivel del
volumen aumenta al valor mnimo para los
anuncios de trfico.

2. BSQUEDA DIRECTA DE
CANCIONES (As/Ps)
El botn (As/Ps) sirve, en modo MP3,
para realizar la bsqueda de canciones de
modo directo.
La bsqueda se puede realizar de tres
modos diferentes: por nmero de cancin,
por ttulo de la cancin o navegando por el
disco.
a) Bsqueda por nmero de cancin:
Pulse el botn (As/Ps) una vez para
activar el modo de bsqueda de pista.
En la pantalla aparece el mensaje
MP3 TX.
Ahora hay que introducir el nmero de
cancin que se desea reproducir. Para

FUNCION ENTRADA BUS SERIAL (ESB)
En el panel frontal existe un conector ESB
oculto tras una tapa de goma. Tire de la
lengueta de la tapita de goma para dejar
libre el conector. Usted puede conectar un
dispositivo ESB externo para reproducir las
canciones MP3 grabadas en dicho dispositivo.
(Ejemplo: un Pen-Drive o memoria flash)
Cuando lo conecte, la unidad
automticamente buscar las canciones
MP3 grabadas en dicho dispositivo, el
manejo es el mismo que el explicado para
el apartado de MP3. Tambin puede
seleccionar esta entrada pulsando el botn
de MODE. .
Los reproductores y memorias MP3
externos no poseen todos el mismo
estndar, esto significa que diferentes
marcas o diferentes modelos poseen su
propio estndar de funcionamiento. Esta
unidad no soporta todos los reproductores
MP3 o Pen-Drives existentes en el
mercado. Esta unidad solo reconocer
archivos bajo el Standard ESB memory
discs.
Si su reproductor externo MP3 posee una
batera no recargable, retire primero la pila
del dispositivo y luego inserte el mismo a
esta unidad.

ACERCA DE LOS DISCOS
A. CD:
1. Utilice siempre discos CD estndar
circulares. En caso contrario se puede
daar la unidad. No use discos cuadrados
o cualquier otra forma que no sea la
circular de 12cm de dimetro.
2. No pegue papel, adhesivos, etc., en
ninguna de las caras del CD, ya que puede
ser causa de un mal funcionamiento de la
unidad.
3. Los discos sucios, polvorientos, rallados o
daados pueden producir un
funcionamiento errneo.
B. CD-R (CD GRABABLES)/CD-RW
(RE-GRABABLES)):
1. Utilice solamente CD con alguna de las
siguientes marcas grabadas en su
superficie:
