THE EVENTS OF THE LESSON 1.WARMING-UP (5-8) Aims: to draw pupils attention and to introduce the new lesson. Interaction: T-S. Skills: Speaking, reading. Activities: greetings, homework checking, introduction of the next lesson.

1st Activity: Greetings (<1) Procedure- informal conversation.

2nd Activity: Homework checking (<2-3) Interaction: T-S. Skills: reading. Procedure: T asks Ss what their homework was and a S gives the answer. Ss read the homework. T corrects the possible errors helped by the Ss and elicits them on the board.

3rd Activity: Brainstorming (< 4-5) Interaction: lock step Skills: speaking Procedure: Introductory conversation to check the previous knowledge and to set the scene for the next lesson. T with the use of a soft toy asks Ss to name a room, a number, an animal or a type of clothing.

!!! Important: whenever Ss dont understand T questions or vocabulary, these will be translated into Romanian.

2. THE CORE OF THE LESSON (approx. 35) Aims: to make the lesson seem fun and exciting; to involve Ss in individual and pair activities; to revise and reinforce vocabulary regarding personal objects. Interaction: lock step Skills- speaking, listening, reading, writing, comprehension, communication, matching. Activities: 1st Activity: Is this your.../Are these your...? (<6) Interaction: T-Ss Skills: listening, writing. Procedure: The T writes on the blackboard the title of the lesson (Are these your shoes?) and elicits what the unit is going to be about. Then she writes two questions (Is this your hat?/ Are these your socks?) with one possible affirmative and negative answer for each (Yes, it is./ No, it isnt. Yes, they are./ No, they arent). T explains the meaning of the possessive adjective your.

2nd Activity: Funny drills (<3) Interaction: T-S, S-T, Ss- T Skills: speaking Procedure: Ss are asked to drill each sentence in their silliest monster voice/ computerized voice or teeny, tiny, squeaky mouse voice.

3rd Activity: Ask your collegue (<10) Interaction: S-Ss Skills: searching, speaking. Procedure: Ss are asked to come and pick the cards with their names on them. On the back of every card a word is written (eg. DESK). Their task is also written on the card: eg. Ask Andrei: Is this your hat? Every S will have a flashcard with the image of that object. They will have to ask and answer each others question.

4th Activity: Did you pay attention? (<5) Interaction: S-Ss

Skills: speaking. Procedure: Ss are asked to remember what image was on their collegues flashcard and to repeat the word while giving it to another classmate.

3.THE EVALUATION AND THE TRANSFER (<3) T congratulates the students. T gives a ticket for Ss to write their opinion about the lesson (Ticket out the door). T assigns homework to the children (Textbook: ex. 2, 3 page 52).
