Introdu"tion to SkyRealism # ENB Evolved


SkyRealism ENB Evolved is a set o- s0ader -iles used 3y ENB. #nlike most ot0er ENBs t0at you<ll -ind5 ENB Evolved is more t0an Fust a collection o- adFusted settings t0at come *it0 ENBL it<s a com2lete re*rite o- t0e e4isting s0ader code t0at comes *it0 ENB5 allo*ing -or a muc0 greater degree o- control over t0e colors in Skyrim. )ere<s *0at I<ve done in a nut s0ell: Re*ritten t0e 1e2t0 o- Field system5 including creating 2 ne* ones. Com2letely re*ritten t0e color 2rocessing algorit0ms5 using )S7 conversion. Recon-igured t0e 3aseline INI values are a 1CCM matc0 to Skyrim de-aults. &dded a -ocus detection system5 so you can c0ange 0o* t0e 1e2t0 o- Field *orks. &dded several ne* camera e--ects: se2ia tone5 vignette5 interlacing5 and more.

Installing SkyRealism # ENB Evolved


SkyRealism ENB Evolved can 3e -ound at 0tt2:::skyrim.ne4usmods.com:mods:23($". &-ter you<ve do*nloaded ENB Evolved5 you<ll need to o2en it *it0 a (E decom2ression utility5 suc0 as (Ei2. Uninstalling ENBSeries and ENB Evolved


I- you *ant to uninstall t0is mod and t0e rest o- ENBSeries5 sim2ly delete all t0e -iles in your Skyrim directory t0at 3egin *it0 t0e letters Aen3A and Ad3d..dllA. C0anging t0e ENB Con-iguration I- you *is0 to create your o*n ENB con-iguration5 I 0ig0ly recommend you use t0e contents o- t0e A7anilla SkyrimA -older o- ENB Evolved as a starting 2oint. ENBSeries *orks 3y modi-ying t0e 1irect8 rendering calls t0at t0e games use5 allo*ing modi-ication o- t0e rendering system. /0ere are t*o di--erent versions o- eac0 ENB: a A*ra22erA and an AinFectorA. +0en a 1irect8 game starts5 it *ill searc0 -or a 1?? -ile *0ic0 contains t0e code it uses to dis2lay stu-- on your screen. For 1irect8 . games5 t0is -ile is Ad3d..dllA. Eac0 game *ill searc0 -or t0ese -iles in 1H /0e game<s a22lication directory or 2H /0e +indo*s directory. ENBSeries Features and Effe"ts

S*ado( Stri+ing Fi! ENBSeries c0anges t0e *ay s0ado*s are cast5 making s0ado*s more visually correct. It c0anges t0e s0ado* -iltering system5 eliminating ugly lines in s0ado*s5 and smoot0ing t0e edges as *ell. /0is is automatically a22lied *it0 ENBSeries5 3ut can 3e controlled in t0e en3series.ini -ile. Color Corre"tion /0ere are many met0ods o- 2er-orming color correction5 and t0ey are all controlled in t0e en3e--ect.-4 -ile. Some o- t0e color correction met0ods Gsuc0 as )1$H involve 2resets t0at can 3e selected5 eac0 *it0 t0eir o*n varia3les to t*eak. /0e SkyRealism Color Correction system is su3stantially more com2le45 and uses an R6B to )S7 color conversion system. It allo*s you to t*eak t0e intensity o- individual color ranges directly t0roug0 t0e Color E%ualiEer system5 or c0ange t0e overall intensity as *ell. ,alette Color Corre"tion In addition to t0e Color Correction system5 ENBSeries allo*s you to adFust color tones t0roug0 a 3itma2 -ile5 Aen32alette.3m2A. /0ere are many 2alettes out t0ere t0at can 3e selected5 allo*ing you to %uickly c0ange t0e color tones in skyrim 3y sim2ly 2icking a 3itma2 -ile and dro22ing it into your a22lication directory. Environment -ig*ting Control ENBSeries also allo*s direct control over t0e lig0ting system in skyrim5 suc0 as t0e intensity o- sunlig0t5 intensity o- torc0es and -ires5 and t0e am3ient lig0t. It also allo*s -or direct control over t0e colors and 3rig0tness o- t0e sky5 sun5 and stars. It even allo*s -or control over t0e 3rig0tness o- *indo*s5 -ires5 candle lig0ts5 clouds5 -og5 and more. /0ese are all controlled in t0e en3series.ini -ile. Bloom /0e 3loom e--ect is essentially a 0aEiness over everyt0ing. It causes o3Fects on t0e screen t0at are 3rig0t to illuminate areas o- t0e screen near t0em. 7anilla skyrim 0as t0is -eature5 3ut it only a--ects areas immediately around an o3Fect. /0e intensity ot0e ENB series 3loom is adFusted in t0e en3series.ini -ile5 3ut t0e amount o- 3lurring and t0e color saturation o- t0e 3loom can 3e adFusted in t0e en33loom.-4 -ile. %da+tation /0e ada2tation e--ect causes t0e 3rig0tness to automatically adFust according to t0e overall lig0t on t0e screen. /0e duration o- t0is can 3e controlled to mimic t0e *ay t0at your eyes adFust to very dark areas over time. 7anilla skyrim already 0as t0is -eature5 3ut it *orks very %uickly and many 2eo2le don<t like it very muc05 *0ic0 is *0y t0is alternative *as develo2ed. /0e duration -or t0is can 3e set in t0e en3series.ini -ile. %mbient .""lusion /0is e--ect mimics t0e *ay t0at lig0t is a3sor3ed 3y o3Fects t0at are near to eac0 ot0er. It causes cracks in corners to 3ecome slig0tly darker. ;ne o- t0e dra*3acks to t0is e--ect is t0at it causes *ea2ons in -irst 2erson vie* to a22ear translucent *0en t0ey Acli2A t0roug0 *alls and ot0er o3Fects. It also c0anges t0e a22earance o- *ater in Skyrim5 making it translucent regardless o- de2t0. Indirect ?ig0ting is a variant o- &m3ient ;cclusion t0at causes lig0t to 3e re-lected -rom o3Fects onto ot0er near3y o3Fects5 similar to t0e *ay t0at 3loom *orks. #sing t0em toget0er *ill cause t0em to cancel out. /0e settings -or t0is can 3e set in t0e en3series.ini -ile.

Sun Rays /0is e--ect mimics t0e *ay t0at lig0t causes very dense air 2articles to 3e illuminated 3y t0e intense lig0t o- t0e sun5 creating AraysA o- lig0t t0at emanate -rom t0e sun in Skyrim. /0is isn<t 2ers2ective correct5 as it does not incor2orate t0e distance t0at t0e sun is -rom o3Fects in skyrim5 only t0e direction relative to ot0er o3Fects on t0e screen. Regardless5 it<s still an interesting e--ect. /0e intensity -or t0is can 3e set in t0e en3series.ini -ile. Sky -ig*ting /0is e--ect mimics 0o* s0ado*s are darker in t0e center t0an t0ey are at t0e edges G3ecause o- am3ient lig0t re-lectionH. /0e intensity o- t0is e--ect can 3e controlled in t0e en3series.ini -ile. It involves mirroring and distorting t0e entire image5 usually *it0 di--erent tints. +0ile t0is can 3e muc0 more realistic t0an lens -lare5 it<s muc0 0arder to get it to look correct5 3ecause colors on t0e screen are limited to t0e range o- Eero to one5 rat0er t0an 3eing rated in lumins or 20oton counts.
