Problem/Solving Speech Outline Topic: Air Pollution in Jakarta Introduction Opening sentence What do you feel, if you every day and everywhere using masker on your face? I believe you will hate it. But, I suggest to you to bring your masker when you walk on the street. Because, there is not safety places in the world recently due to the big monster air pollution. The data from World Health Organization (WHO) expose those 7 million people deaths worldwide in 2012 due to exposure to air pollution. So, do you control the air when you breathe? Can you make sure that the air that enters into your body is clean and nutritional to improve your health and instead of being polluted and making you sick? Preview of Problem Nowadays, the air pollution is a big issue and makes many people talk about it, including in several capital city in Indonesia. The status of air quality in Indonesia shows that several cities have been polluted. The impact of air pollution is not only effect on human health but also in economic cost. Review of Causes Why the air pollution happen? Many sources can cause air pollution in the capital city worldwide, but in my perception, one of the main sources of air pollution in Jakarta is increase of exhaust gases from motor vehicles. Transition I: How we address this problem? Or how to reduce exhaust gases from motor vehicles on the street? Our government may have many ways to solve this problem, but in my opinion there are three solutions to solve it in Jakarta. Body A. Restricting vehicle on the street a. Advantages 1. Reduce air pollution 2. Reduce traffic jam 3. Make the people healthy b. Disadvantages 1. Influence productivity 2. Influence economy Transition II: Even if, this idea is not every day but we should be support it. And maybe we can do the second solution. B. Motor vehicle emissions testing a. Advantages 1. Motor vehicle exhaust gases have been clean

2. Increase the public awareness to maintain their vehicle b. Disadvantages 1. Pile of used vehicles 2. The people will spend a lot of money to maintenance their vehicles Transition III: I know this idea is good even though have the advantages and disadvantages. And the last solution to reduce air pollution in Jakarta is improving the public transportation. C. Improve public transportation a. Advantages 1. Can transport many people 2. Make the people living regularly 3. Increase our productivity b. Disadvantages 1. We need space to build the infrastructure 2. The government should spend more money to build the infrastructure

Conclusion Summary There are many way to decrease the exhaust gases from motor vehicles due to increase air pollution in Jakarta, but I believe improving the public transportation is a best idea because: 1. It is cheapest 2. There is not exhaust gases. Memorable Concluding Remark Well, air pollution has been occurring now and we should thinking about it. If you dont want to bring the bottle with tree inside for your breath, please keep our air clean. It is our responsibility to handle it. Please, do locally to for globally environment.
