Basic engineering, PFD, P&ID, Layout preparation for the new proposals related to various chemical and refinery projects. Two & three phase separator sizing. PSV load calculation using standard practice. Pressure drop calculation of control valves. Process design of Heat exchangers, Pumps & piping design. Process design and simulation using FLARENET & HTFS. Giving work instructions and guidelines to subordinates and follow up the day-to-day activities to achieve the target within schedule. Conducting HAZOP study for proposed projects. Ensuring effective implementation of safety and environmental procedures. Vendor offer evaluation.

EstimatesProject Controls

Responsible for the preparation of estimating procedures used on projects. The individual is responsible for acting autonomously on smaller projects. The individual may also be responsible for providing general supervision and/or administrative direction to a staff of estimating personnel on larger projects. Activities include, but are not limited to: Coordinates and directs the estimating functions on projects to provide guidelines and reports for responding to client and project management requirements. Develops quality material, labor, and subcontract take-offs, coordinates information between the Engineering, Purchasing, and Construction groups, and helps determine the Project Execution Plan. Executes indirect and conceptual estimates with direction. o Development of the estimate basis o Develops and maintains project-level and control-level specialty estimating schedules o Provides proposal and study support o Works with Engineering disciplines to prepare the Estimate Schedule o Assists in the development of Home Office and Construction Budgets o Maintains established Specialty Estimating Systems, Procedures, and Manuals o Defines the intent and use of the estimate based on an understanding of the Proposal and/or contract terms. Establish total project estimates. Seasoned expertise is required to ensure that all pertinent information is updated in relation to the present scope of work. This position may require direct interface with the client and frequent interfaces in the field with contractors. This position requires direct contact with all required functional areas. Maintains and supports the office estimating database Establishes and maintains local estimating information such as escalation indices, rate of exchange variation, productivity, etc.

Project Planning from Concept to Completion, Preparation of Master Schedule along with time lines. Coordination and collection of all required information from concerned project sites & departments and inculcating in Master Project schedule. Tracking planned vs actual progress, preparing gap analysis, reporting and suggesting corrective actions. Preparation of Estimates, cost and updating costs on an ongoing basis. Project Planning Engineer

Deliver and maintain consistent and realistic plans and control structures for major, complex projects. Develop the list of plans required to execute the project and their hierarchy relationship. Drive,manage and ensure completeness of the development of the activities,logic,resources and progress for the integrated project schedule,leading to the creation of the baseline and its subsequent maintenance. Initiate, develop and monitor the planning and progress procedures to ensure that each element of the project performs the processes timely and consistently. Own the overall schedule monthly progress update, forecast, critical path and trend analyses. Develop status reporting framework and implement throughout the planning hierarchy. Provide regular and comprehensive schedule status reports to Project Management. Review scope change requests for the impact on schedules and the critical path of the project. Prepare reconciliation between earlier schedules and the current schedule. .Consolidate the impact of approved changes and any deviations from the key project targets and milestones, including productivity monitoring and What if scenarios to aid project management decision-making. Liaise with and challenge Senior Project Engineering personnel to ensure proper understanding of the key schedule sensitivities and drivers. Contribute to the development of contract strategies documents. Ensure that all contract key dates and milestones align with the overall integrated plan. Evaluate bid schedules and review contractor plans to support contract award recommendations. Contribute to the development of the projects risk profiles and translate these into the plans using deterministic and probabilistic analysis methods, as appropriate. Regularly track the schedule risk mitigation efforts, the criticality of the main paths to completion, float consumption and the release of the 50/50 schedule contingency. Implement, ensure compliance and utilize the Shell standard tools and processes. Provide input data for and conduct benchmarking activities. Deliver close-out data to enable knowledge retention (lessons learned, project data compilation) at completion of work.
