Greetings Why should research be done in social sciences?

Social science research is widely regarded as providing substantial benefits to individuals and to local, regional, national, and international communities. Some social scientists have identified a broad array of categories of such benefits. But they have not often done this in a systematic fashion. They have asserted that, if estimated using a monetary measure, these benefits would be large. Social science research provides many different kinds of information that influence the economic welfare of individuals and aggregates of individuals. Distinguishing characteristics of social science research include:

Collaboration with colleagues to gather data and publish research Reliance upon raw data such as statistics, survey results, observations, and interviews A need for current information that leads to heavy use of journal articles and conference papers, although book-length studies are also important sources Findings are often reported in the popular media, so it is vital to differentiate between scholarly publications and general-interest or popular magazines (i.e., Journal of Abnormal Psychology vs. Psychology Today).Komfum Constan

Good afternoon friends, Which attitude should have the researcher? Conducting good research requires first retraining your brain to think like a researcher. This requires visualizing the abstract from actual observations, mentally connecting the dots to identify hidden concepts and patterns, and synthesizing those patterns into generalizable laws and theories that apply to other contexts beyond the domain of the initial observations. Research involves constantly moving back and forth from an empirical plane where observations are conducted to a theoretical plane where these observations are abstracted into generalizable laws and theories.
