Direct the development of Ireland’s only sculpture park dedicated to the

interpretation of the rich natural and industrial legacy of the bog lands. My
role includes curation, corporate fund raising, promotion, community
awareness, education programme and administration of the artist- in-
residency programme.

• Business to Arts Award 2009
• Local Government Award 2007 (Public Art Category)
• Business to Arts Award 2003
• Commissioned and curated over 20 permanent and temporary
sculptures.
• Initiated Bord na Mona corporate funding for development of the
Sculpture Park.
• Developed partnerships with Bord na Mona, Offaly County
Council, University College Dublin, The Arts Council and Crafts
Council of Ireland to fund residency and education programmes.
• Access to All: initiated the development of wheelchair access to
Sculpture Park.

 • Developed an international artist- in- residence programme in the
Parklands. Funded by The Arts Council, Bord na Mona and Offaly
County Council.
• Sculpture in the Parklands selected as a world environmental art
destination by Thames and Hudson publication Destination Art.
• Development of arts programme for International Peat Congress
hosted by Bord na Mona at Lough Boora Parklands in 2008. 45
countries were represented at the conference.
• Strategic plan for the development of an education programme for
primary and secondary schools.
• Strategic marketing plan for the development of the sculpture
park.
• Designed a dedicated website for the sculpture park.
• Secured funding for Visitors Pavilion, walkways and artists
information panels. Work completed 2008.

European Union Education and Cultural funding programme that explores

Land Art interventions in different scenarios throughout Europe. The project
is a collaboration between university archaeology departments and their
partners to develop education and cultural tourism opportunities through
Land Art interventions.

Conception, curation and project management of Benedict Tutty exhibition

to coincide with the International Christian Art Conference at Glenstal
Abbey.

Project: Patrick Dougherty Installation

Development, curation and project management of large scale sculpture

installation for world-renowned artist Patrick Dougherty at Sculpture in the
Parklands.

Key Role:

• Curation
• Manage 20 artists and crafts workers over a three-week period
during the installation of artwork.
• Work with Patrick Dougherty concerning idea development and
logistics of installation.
• Public liability insurance for staff and volunteers.

• Development of education programme that provided over 500
primary children from 17 schools with the opportunity to meet the
artist, tour the sculpture park and work with an artist to create a
temporary artwork on site.
• Coordination of room and board for 25 persons working on site
throughout the programme.
• Community programmes and tours including lectures, presentations
and arts night.
• Publications and promotion of event. Coverage included RTE
Nationwide, Eco Eye, Radio three, Irish Times, Sunday Tribune,
Sunday Business Post, Visual Arts Ireland, Circa and local
publications.

Project: International Peat Congress Arts Programme

Conception, development and project management of Arts programme for the

13th International Peat Congress, Ireland. Congress will host 600 delegates
from 45 countries. Art programme will present environmental, video, sound,
light and performance programmes by leading Irish and international artists.

Conceived, directed and project managed a 250 page coffee table book
featuring the monastic sites of County Offaly.

Travelling exhibition by Danish sculptor Jorn Ronnau based on an

extraordinary tree, a sacred place, and globally chosen words of poetry.

Initiated, curated and directed the Lough Boora International Sculpture

Symposium.

• Initiated, developed and presented the concept to Bord na Mona.
• Selection of artists to participate in the symposium.
• Wrote proposal and received funding from Arts Council, Offaly
County Council, Bord na Mona, West Offaly Partnership, Offaly
Leader programme and the Atlantic Corridor.

• Developed Arts Festival programme for local communities of Ferbane
and Kilcormack.

The vision of the project was to provide artists’ working in a variety of
