What are the strengths of this course?
Comment Prof La Rosa was great. She is very funny and keeps the class atmosphere very light. She knew everyone's name and took in interest in everyone. She was approachable and helpful. I am not very talented at learning a new language but La Rosa makes it much easier for me. She says things in a way that clicks with me more than past language teachers. it helps ya learn another language We did a lot of group activities, which is fun and interesting. The major strength of this course was teaching grammatical concepts of the Italian language. Also, I felt like I learned a lot more about the culture of Italy. Organized The Professor is very nice and willing to do anything she can to help her students. The structure of the class was very well organized.

How could the instructor improve the course?

Comment It was a pretty unorganized class but I feel this is more a result of Brian O'Connor than Prof La Rosa... I think she does a pretty good job as is. Make the class more instructive do not really learn anything in class I would include more verbal communication. We do a lot of writing, but hardly and speaking. The instructor could improve the course by making assignment deadlines clearer. Sometimes I felt like I wasn't sure when we were supposed to hand in assignments. The whole course is a review of elementary Italian. In class, there could be more lessons and teaching/strengthening knowledge of grammar.

Would you recommend this course to other students, majors, etc.? Why or why not?
Comment Yes, Prof La Rosa is a great professor. She genuinely cares about the students and how they are doing in the class and will not hesitate to go out of her way to make sure we understand something or are prepared for a test. I would, Italian is a fun language to learn and I especially enjoy how much we focus on the culture of Italy this year. No cause I do not like language classes because they really dont help you learn a language Yes it was a fun class and I learned a lot. Yes, I would recommend this course to other students studying Italian. The professor is very nice, understanding, and is willing to work with you to help you better understand the concepts taught in class. Yes, it fulfills the language requirements Yes, Giuliana is really nice.
