Eric Graham started working at Joint Base ElmendorfRichardson - JBER (formerly Elmendorf AFB) Alaska in 1999 and has worked there since with the exception of a couple of years he was on tour with one of his original rock bands. In addition to his start at Elmendorf, this was also the beginning of his long term relationship with CAIRS. He works as a Cyber Transport Technician configuring the installations routers, data switches, SL100 telephone switches, Cisco Communications Manager and other auxiliary equipment. In his free time, Eric has been discovering his creative side: doing graphic design and playing drums. He started graphic design by doing band advertisements and that creative power blossomed into a full-blown love affair. His current graphics project is creating the media (television commercials, radio spots and print) for the Vans Warped Tour rocking Anchorage, Alaska this summer. He loves Mexican food and beer. His favorite place to be is in Las Vegas! And lastly, GO BRONCOS!

As the Senior customer Rep for GMSI and NCTS Jacksonville since 2000, Shannon Cox has been instrumental in the implementation of Cairs 32, UCall and in upgrading to Cairs.net. She has been the expert on Cairs for NAS Jacksonville, Mayport and Kings Bay. Shannon attended the Cairs User Conference in 2012 and attended 5-ESS trainings in 2008. In November 1995, GMSI established an elite award for the top 1 percent of its employees. Its purpose was to recognize the lost art of superior customer service and to ensure that the handful of GMSIers who received this honor were the best of the best. Shannon won this award in 2006. Born in Pensacola, FL, raised in Maine and traveling the country like most military families do, she currently lives in Jacksonville, FL. Shannon has two children, a daughter and a son. She loves spending time with friends and family. If given free time, you would find Shannon escaping to the mountains or anywhere outdoors, taking pictures and surrounding herself with loved ones, particularly her parents who live in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. Her favorite food is always a good BLT pizza from a local pizza place. Her favorite book is "Live like you were dying" and her favorite movie is "The Notebook". Something most people do not know about Shannon is she just recently passed her motorcycle training class and received her endorsement for her license. She is now in the market for a bike to ride the open and winding roads of the mountains.

New Feature Fun

The Directory/Organization Menu provides the tools to manage group and organization relationships within a site. The Organization menu is redesigned to better fit our software and makes it easy to view and identify your parent, child and peer organizations. Within the organization it is easy to add a child and peers, we have separated them into to tabs clearly identifying each. We have also added the accounts pane which allows you to easily add or delete an account association. Stop by our Learning Center to learn more about how to use the redesigned organizations option: http://www.runcairs.net/learningcenter/ DIRECTORYORGANIZATIONS.aspx

We Love Giving Back

By Brandon Arthur During the Christmas holiday, our company assisted five families in need. We were to deliver gifts and goodies on December 21st. The family I delivered to was a singlemother with four children. Her husband left years ago and that day she just lost her job. She had many fears and worries: would her children make it through school, would her oldest son choose the same path as his father, would there be enough food, and now jobless, would they soon be homeless too. I walked up the empty cracked driveway as a dog with matted hair yapped at my ankles. I knocked on the door and stepped back. A young girl peeked through a broken window fixed with duct tape. I smiled and waved and she ran away. When her mother appeared I introduced myself and asked if we could bring in a few things, tears immediately welled up in her eyes and she invited us in. A small living room with a tattered futon and a concrete floor was all to be found. We emptied two vans full of groceries and gifts. It was a humbling experience and a wonderful opportunity to help. I feel privileged to work for Unique where people matter and giving back is a part of our culture.
